Was willing to roll with that for a little bit, as technology does bring some interesting opportunities for improvement - but I observed that a) the kids were given synth keyboards (which have a very different feel), not digital pianos, to play on, b) the keyboards were set way too high relative to their seats for them to learn to play. The feedback inevitably was that our kids were doing a great job, even when they hadn't practiced at all - I understand the positivity and I know few people have time to put in the necessary practice (I myself have 15ish years of piano so know what kind of practice is required) but it felt like it was more about just going through the motions and getting the money for a class than actually teaching anybody anything. Then one of the instructors made a comment about my kid that seemed wildly out of line, so we quit. While I'm sure this is not everyone's experience, I'd say it's better to go with a place that's more serious about teaching, less franchisey.

The one negative review I see here - the writer strikes me as an impossible to please and/or passive/aggressive kind of person - my gut tells me he's crafted an intentionally exaggerated one-sided story because he was unhappy when he found out that his piano was not worth as much as he was hoping. Phil is in fact very polite, professional and upfront, so something doesn't add up in this story. When you come here and actually meet with Nancy and Phil, you'll understand. Other competitors in the area are also run by good folks, but Nancy and Phil are outstanding and are head and shoulders above. Check their Google Maps reviews and you'll see more praise for them. He spent time in the roosters and ponies classes. It's so clean, well staffed, decent staff retention, and I'm always wildly impressed with the behavior of the kids. My son has made a lot of adorable friendships. We've been obsessed with his teachers, especially Andrea, Kayla, Xhochilt, Mia, and Mackenzie. He's learned some Spanish, great classroom skills, and independence. Andrea has been there for 17 years which is so impressive to me. The communication with the admin is so fast and everyone always seems so chill. As someone who taught for 10 years, I find that to be incredible. That sense of peace really rubs off on the kids. They are a little pricier, but I think it's worth it. In the summer there is less consistency with the teachers because of vacations, but it is still well-staffed and they do so many events in the summer to make it extra special for the kids like tie dye, bubble shows, foam party, magicians, service dogs, bringing in reptiles, and musicians. On nice days they got outside 3 times a day. Their play areas are really nice. My son's favorite parts of the day were centers and playing in the sensory bins which changed daily. He came home with tons of art and meaningful knowledge about their weekly questions.

My kids love their teachers. They have a great balance of academics and playtime. A big plus is the outdoor play is mostly shaded and very big! We've toured various centers around Hoco and some are very new but the play areas are tiny! The teachers are all very loving and there has been minimal turnover since my kids started.
