The greatest divey bar ever!!! MONDO beers are cheap for any beer lovers AND mixed drinks have never reached over $6.25 tall! That was a hoity toity drink too. They pour heavy handed and keep the crowd happy. Bar tenders will treat you better if you smile and wait in the line by the counter... they are also the cooks typically at night juggling a million things at once... Denise is amazing! What a dump! Drinks were way over poured, Fries were good, but service sucked and the bartenders and staff are rude! Went out back to smoke and 1:15 and finish my drink and the staff outside said "might as well turn around cus we are closing down." Meanwhile others were still outside hanging out. I have a love hate relationship with this place. It started out as the place you go after Port Gardner (the bar down the street that is no longer with us) shut down and you were too drunk to think anything bad about it. Everybody would walk up the street together; then they would serve drinks, really cheap ones, until the real 2am or even a little after it seemed. After Port Gardner shut down, you're just stuck going here because it's what you know. When you're not hammered it's pretty scary, but great. They have a great juke box, again really cheap drinks, pool tables. I got in a fight with a bandito there, but the bartender backed me up and kicked him out; I was really grateful for that. My sister is in love with this place and considers it her home, so I'll still be checking it out from time to time. Before I could even go in there last night (October 12, 2019) was way too many very drunk people out front smoking. And throwing lit cigarettes butts all over the ground. Not one trash can or ashtray out front at all. Almost got burned by a drunk. My friend walked a block to find a trash. That bar sucks and wanted a 20$ cover. Lol!! I have been coming here for the past year since we moved to Everett, there aren't a lot of options for a nightlife so we go to play pool and hang out with friends. The service is absolutely awful. The staff is extremely rude, especially the tall thin woman with black hair. I walked in with my boyfriend got in line to order food and 1 beer each, next thing I know my waitress comes over telling me I'm cut off when I was only half way through my first drink. Every time I go here someone in my group is either kicked out or cut off after 10 minutes and when we ask why they have nothing to say. The food is good but they have no respect for customers and the owner allows the staff to treat the customers like dirt. read more

If there was an ability to give this place a negative five stars then that's where I would start. The night started off quite well with my friend and I playing multiple games of pool together. We where there due to a local recommendation we received at dinner for a nice dive bar to drink at and play pool. We had been at the bar for over two hours without any issues when a large bald headed man entered and sat at the table adjacent to us. During our pool game he came up and physically challenged my friend with multiple crazy accusations; one of which was trying to hookup with a chick which we had been playing pool with. I tried to intervene and explain that we were here just to shoot pool and drink in addition to the fact my friend was engaged and had no desire to hook up. The bald headed man said that he didn't care about what I or my friend had to say and attempted to physically intimidate us to leave which we rightfully declined. He then said "yeah then we will see" within moments the "manager" appeared who then proceeded to cast us as the antagonist in the whole thing for being "loud" and did not engage the bald man at all. Even after trying to explain that we were the ones accosted she kept her back to the bald headed man who was laughing with his group. I tried to establish a dialog but I was immediately met with verbal and physical threats from him and also his female entourage, (hookers?) After some time trying to the best of my ability to discover what the issue was or what local boundary that we may have crossed was we were again met with verbal and physical threats so we promptly left the bar and ran to our hotel fearing physical assault. In all my world travels, having served many years in the US Navy, I have never been treated this way on foreign soil. If you value your life and property I would never visit this bar unless armed and ready to defend yourself. It is absolutely disgusting that as an American in an American city to be treated in this fashion. I completely understand the idea of "locals only" bars but this completely scared me to the core. read more

Best bar in Everett food establish Atmosphere is wonderful. People are Soothing to be around love everything about it

Food is comparable to Sysco systems or soh dex restaurant and food supplies!! I watched several people get cut off and two of them I literally just walked in the door with. Place is dirty, was two fights outside in less than a half hour (both before midnight even) and when closing time/last call came around I had been in line for over 15 minutes because the bartenders are slow and very disorganized and when I was two people away from being served the bartender yells last call and kicks out the line which was five people then (only 2 people behind me) and she said "I don't want you to have to stand in line". Every bar I have ever been to at last call if the line is short like it was they shut down the line and finish servingnout the people who were waiting and then cut off the alcohol. read more

The food is great. Service? Not so much. I put money into the juke box once, 10 bucks, none of my son's played after an hour of waiting. I asked the big blonde bartender what happened and she said she overrided my choices because, and I quote "no one likes that shit". Worst service ever by bartender denise! I will not ever go here again. First time in my life that I was treated like crap before I even ordered my first drink..i promply.cancelled order and spent my $100 elsewhere. i just moved to everett..my guy is a cab driver. Great Place with the best price on drinks, but do not go here in a big group. The bartenders do not like loud noise, and they don't like big groups. They are unhappy, and always have an attitude. With exception of one of the bartenders. The one with the cool glasses. She is awesome!! I was sober the whole night because I was DD, and when i went up to order a non alcoholic drink before i could even speak they said "you're cut off". I asked them why. They stated that my group is loud. I said Im here ordering a non alcoholic drink I dont know why you are cutting me off based on their behavior. Got major food poisoning after eating a burger here. The wait is insanely long & the food was not fresh. I wasn't sure what was off while eating the burger but later found out once I and my husband started to feel the symptoms of food poisoning. I enjoy patronizing downtown businesses, but Soundview is not among those that deserves your money. Both times I've stopped in for a beer with friends (once immediately after work and once hours before close on a Saturday) the staff has refused to serve someone in the group - no explanation provided. Most recently, we were encouraged to order "greasy fried food" or move along while the drunk girls (still getting served) were literally falling down in the bar and spilling their drinks. I'm done giving this bar a chance. The service has ruined it for me. read more

This bar has absolutely no respect for their neighbors. They sell alcohol passed 2am and let motorcyclists rev their engines until 3am and gang members "bump" their music outdoors on weeknights.. There has been rumor that the liquor board is trying to shut them down. I have witnessed a multiple of fights and police activity at this Establishment. Terribly slow service. When I first moved to Downtown Everett I loved this place. Great food and stiff drinks at a reasonable price. I found all the bartenders to be friendly however they do tend to over serve, but what dive bar doesn't. My issue is with the crowd that hangs out there, It's a shady, Meth-y crowd. It's a local pool bar with a clear vibe where everyone knows everyone else's name. But fresh potato chips were awesome and cooked perfectly and prices are crazy fair. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Everett. Theey serve daaaannnnnk food and drinks are Cheap. Normally cheap drinks mean not great and weakly poured, but drinks are just as strong if not stronger than any other bar in the area. Soundview never seizes to disappoint. It's always packed, so more seating would be nice, but the pool tables are worth the sacrifice. I've been here like 3 times and every time the bartenders treat me like family. Soo cute. Delightful! Seeing a show at Anchor Pub down the street, but Anchor wasn't serving food because they had the concert. Only some sad looking bratwurst. So we took a walk looking for food. And the Soundview was perfect. You order drinks and food at a window towards the back. The woman working (seemed to be only her and the cook) was wonderful. Great attitude and VERY strong pours. My gin and tonic was ALL gin with a float of tonic on top. She let us know they didn't serve "fast food" but that they served "good food," and she wasn't kidding. For only $5.50 the ham and cheese melt was delicious (high quality thinly shaved ham, too) and it came with choice of sides (tater tots, fries, or onion rings). Portions are VERY generous. Also, dipping sauce choices (tarter, ranch, ketchup, etc). Came with a TON of tater tots, and my pal's onion rings were really really good. The boys got Fish N Chips and they were raving about those, too. So, for really tasty pubgrub/diner food, this is the place. Lots of "flair" on the walls, a great mix of patrons (lots in biker gear) and many who felt like regulars. Also someone brought their dog into the bar, which was great fun. There's an electronic jukebox and this one guy kept buying Taylor Swift songs, which was unexpected and kinda funny. Maybe he was suffering a recent breakup? The carpet on the floor is sticky and the chairs are old/worn. But it's a very COMFORTABLE bar and the surfaces and restrooms are clean. They had printed signs up advertising a bar potluck on Saturday at noon, which is adorable. Pool tables were active the whole time we were there. Definitely enjoyed the vibe here. read more

The bartender was extremely rude I was not there ten minutes and as soon as I went to the place to order she accuses me of being intoxicated because she was offended by the way I asked her how old she was and refused to serve me or the friend I was with even after I offered to buy One of the disposable breathalyzers they offer there. The food is excellent and the beer prices are excellent. Where else can you get a 16 ounce Mac N Jack for $3.25? The servers are friendly and efficient. It's always packed in there. The outside smoking area is great. There is a large covered area to keep people dry and there are picnic tables to sit at on sunny days. I recommend this place to everyone! read more
