True pool halls are hard to come by these days, but they do exist. They are (usually) exclusively adult, human environments in a time when so many places strive to be "kid and dog friendly" (eesh). Golden Fleece has an Eastern European (Georgian) vibe, as evidenced by the menu and some staffing choices. I like that it's not all typical bar food here, Prices are fair, drinks are strong, and service is quick and friendly. I would love to see more Georgian food and drink on the menu, like dumplings, kubdari, kharcho, achma maybe, a real qababi to go with the plov... and how about a chacha- based cocktail? The tables and cues can be somewhat unkempt. We had to hunt considerably for straight cues with good tips, and brush our table free of debris. Tip: opt for a table further from the front entrance, for better equipment selection. This part of the experience needs improvement, but should be an easy fix. The music can be too loud and, frankly, too much of one genre. I feel they are trying to ride a line between nightclub and pool hall, to attract younger clientele. This may be tough on players that need relative quiet to concentrate. All and all, a fun time. I cannot say that it is a "clean" hall, either figuratively or literally, but I can say that at least at this point in time, it's still approachable to those just looking for a drink and a nibble while shooting a game or two with friends, with minimum drama. We came here after a comedy show for the after party and it was a great time. There are tons of pool tables as you can imagine and the spacing was quite nice. There was a distinct part of the place for pool, a separate darts area, and then of course the front bar area with high tables that were great for eating at and socializing. Walking through the pool area to get to the bathroom, I didn't feel like I was going to ruin anyone's shot. I ordered at the bar upon entering and grabbed one of these tall tables for our group. They knew where we were stting as the food came right out to us. The menu is regular bar food and it is not too bad. The bathrooms themselves were decently clean. The staff was friendly and eager to serve us. There is also an entire basement filled with pool tables that we did not check out. This place is open late so a good option for a late night hang. read more

Im giving this place a 2 star. This bar is either scandalous or just expensive. My partner and I ordered 5 draft beers (total of 10 manny's) each and a game of pool. Our bill came out to be $117. Mind yall, we didn't order any food. We still ended up paying the total price and call it NEVER going back there. It was a really slow night too for them, I guess they took advantage of good people. A very Serious Pool Hall with good food. This place is for playing pool, first and foremost. There are many professional players and tournaments happening on two separate floors. The vibe is very chill with most people focusing on their games. The tables are very well kept and the food was very good. We hade an excellent rice and kabob dish, as well as a very meaty pizza. The pizza is on the small side and a prefab crust, but still tasty. I highly recommend trying their Georgian food which was outstanding. Home cooked vibes and good service. read more

I have been here several times before with my friend from Phoenix and my sister. I live downtown and Im always looking for fun safe spaces for me and my friends to hang out. I've enjoyed the music and bartenders were cool before. But what happened? The music was bad today and the bartenders were ok. The music was TRASH on a Saturday night. Country and 90s rock I think. I'm an 80s baby so I love 80s blag blah. Now I walk in right before summer and what do I behold...on a Saturday gross trash music. Only wine is Chardonnay...I order Tito's vodka tonic bc it's safe. All the drinks are terrible and only one bartender attempted to help me. Old dude and older grandad dude were ignoring me hard. Stopped by here after a conference with a large group and overall had a great experience. Got some drinks and could tell that the bartender had a lot going on, but he was still attentive. As the night went on, the group had a great time and I would return to the bar throughout the night and the bartender was vocal about being busy and will be right with me which was absolutely fine. read more

Yeahhhhhh! Finally a pool hall that's affordable, clean, and best of all, the tables and such are still in good shape. Swung by here for a quick pool session and despite the lack of parking, this is a pretty sweet spot for pool. Once you get all settled down with parking, simply enter the door, grab a rack of balls near the cashier, and proceed to pick any table you want to play at. Don't be alarmed if the place seems a bit dim / dark. After picking your table, look for a light switch and turn it on. This will alert the cashier on which table you're playing at so they can keep track of your time. After you pick your cue sticks, chalk, etc....it's time to play!! :) If you're the kind of player who prefers peace and silence for uber concentration on the ball, this is the perfect spot. With no music playing in the background, this place lends a more serious vibe for those who are into the game. If you prefer more of a louder/festive place with music blaring in the background, this probably isn't the best place for you (unless you're rockin' it solo and can put on some headphones to jam to your own beat). For the rates, it's pretty cheap (like $5/hour/person). Plus, there's free wifi and drinks/snacks that you can purchase. If you're just coming for the pool and vibe, this is one of the best pool halls around! Diamond tables, and TouchTunes on both floors. Check out downstairs for sure! However, the food is average, drinks are really expensive, and bartenders are nice, but inexperienced. I would drink and eat a lot more here if it was more reasonable. Music was not for me. I was charged twice. When I called to get it fixed they didn't seem to care. He wouldn't let me explain what had happened. The Bar is open! And so is the Restaurant! They have a large choice of burgers and sandwiches of course. But you HAVE to try "Pat's Phenomenal Chili", it's sweet & spicy and rave-worthy. And then there's the Hot Dog menu, so varied with bacon, jalapeno popper dog, and what - Peanut Butter on a hot dog? Yeah. They've got Georgian soups, stew and "turnover" meat pies. Not all the items on the menu are available all the time so you have to check out their "Underground Menu". And they have a Late Night menu when the kitchen is closed - you've got to try the Golden Fleece App Platter. And the best thing are their prices, still low. So check them out. Oh, yeah, they also have great billiard tables (on the main floor and the basement level) only $5 an hour per person, or max $15 an hour for more than three people per table. Play, drink, snack and then stay for dinner. The staff is small, but they are so friendly and helpful. And the place is CLEAN. Maybe a little dark inside, but that's all for the atmosphere. For eating - you can sit up front in the windows and people watch. It's overall the best place to hangout. read more

Best pool hall in Washington as far as I have seen. They have several 9ft diamonds, as well as several 7ft diamonds. The food there is pretty good, and they have a decent bar. My only complaint, and I hope the owner takes note..they need to clean their cloth more often. I'm not sure if they ever clean it tbh...I will update my review to 5 stars once that is done on a regular basis...outside of that, great place to play. read more

Not a lot of billiards around the area that just had billiard without a bar, but this place saids it all! Really nice place to go with your friends and shoot some pools and just relax! My friends and I decided to shoot some pool and once we step inside, I believe he was the owner but he provided us with great customer service! He greeted us and explained how pricing works because we were first timers. They had an upstair room with pool tables and also there was a downstairs level where there was more tables for you to play, which I thought was pretty awesome! It felt like we were going to an underground secret room. I heard this place recently was opened, the place was super clean and smelled really good unlike some places where there is a bad odor roaming around the place. The price for a table was $5 an hour per person and that was inexpensive! Plenty of cue sticks you can pick from and also chairs to sit on to relax whenever is not your turn. Overall, my friends and I had a lot of fun and end up only paying $6 each. So if you need a place to come to play some pools and not have to spend so much, then Golden Fleece is the place to go! read more

As I have never had a chance to go to the location when it was in Seattle I heard many good things about the establishment. Since it has now moved to Everett I have gone in there once to find out that it was there new location. The place gave me a sense of an old school billiard hall. Not many are around anymore. I was greeted promptly upon entering and the gentleman was very nice. As my wife and I decided to play this past Friday, we had a great time. The table was a nice and rather well maintained Diamond. I did notice that one of the tables appeared to have a slight tear in the felt. The other tables seemed to be in good shape as well. As typical of Diamonds, the table played well. The atmosphere was nice and there was one table that seemed to have a new felt. I would definitely return. I have yet to check out the downstairs. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Honestly tho I'm kinda glad this is hidden because if more people knew about it, there'd for sure be a line out the door 24/7. This place is amazing because the hours are great, they close at 2:00AM, so it's great for when there's nothing to do, but the owners are so chill! One of them is a mute I believe but he's so nice and sweet. This is a real pool hall. Great atmosphere, nice "Diamond" tables and lots of action. Champions from all over the world play here on a very regular basis. Its not unusual to see a couple world class players pair up and play for hours and hours. Its a real treat to see ESPN caliber play in person at a local pool hall. If your a billiard enthusiast, It just don't get any better than this place. They have lots of seating and plenty of refreshments.
