I first went to see Dr. Leo last Sept when I had pain in between my shoulder blades and would wake up with a stiff neck that could barely move for several days in a row. Nothing I tried made it better. He has an attentive, caring nature that immediately put me at ease. Dr Quan began treating me almost one year ago, after I had suffered a prolonged illness that left me in pain, depressed, anxious and seriously lacking energy. I don't like to write bad reviews but this Chiropractor pressured me into cracking my neck and I didn't have any pain there/ he told me that I had a bad spine and did a big presentation / sales pitch! Saying if I didn't see him 3 times a week and paid him a monthly membership I will have severe problems- and if I don't let him crack my neck- I won't get better- under fear and pressure I allowed him to crack my neck and since then I went to the emergency pain in neck and arms my arms became weak and now I have to traction my neck every day and do so much Physio therapy paying soooo much money and suffering sleepless and lose income !!! Before seeing Dr. Leo, I was limited in lower back mobility. A few years prior, I had fallen down the subway stairs and hit the same spot on my tailbone 3 times as I slid down the steps. I didn't really notice how stiff I was in that section of my body until after my first visit with Dr Leo.... The treatment was a very peaceful experience and the environment was conducive to healing. Not to mention that the Source Centre is people-friendly (no cell phone use allowed). As I was face down on the chiropractic table, I couldn't help meditating my way through the treatment and practicing a special breathing technique which Dr. Leo also shared with me. The process of treatment was so non invasive that I could hardly feel him touching me. Now, I wiggle when I walk - I got my wiggle back! My hips are moving! Source Centre is a very welcoming and calming environment. I'd never been to a chiropractor, and was happy to find out that Dr. Leo Quan uses a gentle chiropractic technique called Network Chiropractic. Dr. Leo took the time to explain it to me and answer any questions. The treatments are very relaxing and helped to release a lot of stress and tension on the spot, and in the long-term. After seeing Dr. Leo for 7 weeks, the improvements to my posture and strength, and the reduction in pain and tension were above my expectations. I have scoliosis and tendinitis in my hand and wrist. I have worked with several physical therapists over the years to treat the pain and build strength, but I have never seen this much improvement. Dr. Leo takes a holistic approach and treated my body, mind, spirit, and emotions. My overall wellness is better for it. This Groupon I purchased was supposed to be for a consultation and six adjustments. I met Mr. Quan for an initial visit in December, then was made to wait for almost two months for a follow-up. Before Mr. Quan will start your treatment, he makes you attend a second meeting, where you must bring your spouse or entire family. The meeting I attended was a group meeting, that involved myself and my spouse, along with an entire family that had come for their son. This meeting is nothing more than an extended scare tactic/sales pitch. The entire meeting is filled with misinformation (Presciption drug use is not the third largest killer in Canada), along with an intense hatred on regular medicine. Mr Quan was constantly talking about regular medicine and how they don't fix problems, how medication is bad for you etc. He also mentioned God several times, which I found uncomfortable as a person who would prefer his medical treatment not be aligned with religious beliefs. He then spent the rest of the hour long video presentation, alternating between scare tactics meant to make you sign up for a twelve month (or more) spine program, along with handing out free consultation cards for us to distribute to our friends and family. He constantly showed slides of deformed spines, while asking grade school questions and advising us that this could happen to us! "This blue line should match up with the red line? Does it match up? Do you think this is good, or bad?" It felt like pandering, but I mean, the other family there seemed to be eating it up, so maybe this works for the majority of his patients. I felt like I was watching an old propaganda film, meant to push more people into his practice long term. Keep in mind, this was not an optional appointment, but instead a forced one that had to be attended before Mr. Quan would attempt any of the previously paid for treatments. Mr. Quan clearly stated during this portion that "If you just want to get a few adjustments to get out of pain, I won't do that. I can refer you to someone else. For you to start treatment with me, you need to be willing to commit to a long term program of rehabilitation for your spine". If this is the case, then he really should not be selling packages on Groupon advertising something he is unwilling to provide without additional commitments. He even discussed how he had done chiropractic treatments on a small (6 months or less) infant, which I know is a practice that has resulted in licence removal for Chiropractors in other countries. The presentation made both myself and my spouse feel very uncomfortable. In our one-on-one with Mr Quan afterwards, he started with a solemn face, advising "I've seen your X-rays, and this...this is serious. Are you ready to see these?" He then asked those same simplistic questions from before "Your lines don't match up? Do you know what that means? Is it bad or good?" He then immediately states "Are you ready to commit to a 12 month or longer program to fix this?" I then immediately discussed how I felt uncomfortable with the misinformation, constant religious references, and scare tactics of his presentation. The minute I mentioned his use of the word GOD, he quickly gave me paper copies of my X-rays, and shuffled me out of the office. Mr. Quan does seem like a genial, devoted person who believes in his craft. He did mention several payment programs he sets up for lower income families to assist them, and I have to commend him if that information is accurate. However, his presentation and tone of manner came across as rather pressuring, uncomfortable, and to be completely honest, rather cult like. I may just be the wrong type of person for this type of holistic treatment, as the ENTIRE family that sat through the presentation all signed up to become patients of his. They came in for their son, who had obviously had some trauma to his back, and Mr. Quan walked out with four new patients signed up. Take of that what you will... read more

I see Source Centre as my one-stop shop for health & wellness. The environment is really laid-back, relaxed and very welcoming. Not to sound like a hypochondriac, but I started going there to see the NSA chiropractor for stress related issues, but then needed to see the Naturopath for a food allergy issue and then started to see the acupuncturist for digestive issues. And now I'm also seeing their registered massage therapists! I kept going back because the location is convenient, all the people are great, and all the health professionals there seem to get along together, which adds to the environment. Oh yeah, and all of these services were covered by my extended health benefits at work, and very easy to redeem, so that seemed like a no-brainer to me to use them! It's a really cool experience to see how all these alternative health practices work together and it makes me feel really empowered and in charge of my health. I've had chronic lower back pain for a couple of years. I went to chiropractic treatments occassionally with another chiropractor. I felt OK after each treatment but the pain came back in a day or two. A colleague referred me to Leo Quan at the Source Centre. I went there and have been a patient since then. Recently I broke my knee in April. Due to limited mobility, I fell hard on wet tile & also injured my back in May. Went to hospital for x-ray by ambulance. The doctor told me no broken bones. However I could neither sit up nor walk. It was excruciating painful when I had to sit up to eat in bed with lots of pillows behind me. I was bedridden. So I called Leo & asked him for house visits. He was very helpful & came twice a week to work on my back. At the beginning, I needed Leo & my husband to help me move from the bed to the chiropractic table while me yelling, "ouch, ouch...all the way." Leo used spinal networking technique to release blockage so my back could heal by itself. He also gave me simple exercises to strengthen the back muscles. He constantly asked my progress and gave me lots of encouragements when I felt frustrated and helpless. He also used some manipulations to stretch my spine and gua sha to improve blood circulation. Slowly I was able to sit and gradually walk with a walker. Without Leo's help, I would not be able to sit and walk in 1 and 1/2 months. Now I am able to walk with crutches and go back to work. This was my first chiropractic experience ever (I never had back problems prior to last year). Dr.Leo is a passion healer and healthcare educator, and a delight to work with. I began to feel benefit from his treatments after only three sessions! The Source Centre for Health & Wellness is a one-of-a-kind space that has a zenful energy as soon as you step into the office. Any stress I am feeling throughout the day immediately dissipates whenever I am at the SC for my appointment. The reception staff are really welcoming which makes for a warm and positive environment. Dr. Leo Quan is also very approachable and the method of gentle chiropractic care (network spinal analysis) that he uses is really non-invasive, if anything, therapeutic. I always come out of my appointments with a sense of calmness/peacefulness and a restored energy to tackle the rest of the week.
