I woke up Saturday in severe agony from lower back pain. I googled chiropractor in Woodbridge and found positive reviews for this clinic, one of the few clinics open this past weekend, at the end of the holidays. I quickly called and was fortunate to have someone pick up the phone, it was Dr. Matthew himself. I explained my situation and he welcomed me to come in immediately, even though he was otherwise closing. Once I arrived and completed the registration forms, we went over my history of low back problems that started with gymnastics injury years ago, but that I still suffer episodes of severe pain like this from time to time. Dr. Matthew completed his evaluation and gave me an initial diagnosis and suggested I get x-rays to confirm what we both suspected, which was that my previous spinal injuries were still present, but getting worse. After treatment that involved chiropractic adjustments that were much more gentle than I was anticipating, I felt enough relief that I could stand up straight and walk much easier than before. I've been to other chiropractors in the past that gave adjustments that seemed rather rough, but Dr. Matthew's adjustments were very comfortable. I was so appreciative that he agreed to see me, even to stay late and patiently take the time with me to make sure I received excellent care and got some pain relief, which I did. I had my next appointment earlier today. The x-rays confirmed what we expected about my spine. Dr. Matthew modified the basic exercise moves and stretches that I am instructed to do at home, and made more adjustments to my spine. I'm far from being pain free but things are gradually improving and I feel very confident in his skills and expertise based on my experience so far, and I'm looking forward to my next chiropractic visit with Dr. Matthew. read more

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I hope you do not use Michelle W.'s review to make your decision to get a consultation with Vellore Chiropractic. As with any chiropractic treatment you are not going to see results after 1 or 2 visits, it is an on-going process and does require a series of visits before you will see improvements in your condition - especially if you have been "having back problems forever and desperate for help". I have been to several chiropractors over the course of 15 years and I have never been as satisfied, or seen such great results, as I have with Dr. Becky. She takes her time with every patient and is sincerely concerned about your overall health. She always has a lot of information about healthy living yet never pushes anything on me. I've been seeing Crystal, my massage therapist at the same location, for several years (best RMT in Vaughan!!) and after bringing up some concerns I was having with my nervous system (tingling in feet and hot/cold sensations on my lower half) she had a chat with Dr. Becky and suggested I have a consultation with her. I'm so happy to say that after just a couple of months I have not had these symptoms and the only change I made/treatment sought during that time was chiropractic, so I have to attribute my improvement to her care. The whole team is wonderful, I never wait more than 5 minutes to be seen, and they are always flexible with appointment times. I suffered with low back pain for a long time, many years. My medical doctor put me on medication, that didn't work. I tried physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, CBD oil, hanging upside down, you name it. I was near my wit's end when a friend at work recommended I see their chiropractor. My medical doctor said the only option left was surgery, but I didn't want to go that route, so I said what do I have to lose, let's check out this awesome chiropractor my friend raves about. Dr. Matthew understood my problem and explained it to me in a way that no one else had before. Things finally made sense! Once I started care, I began feeling an improvement right away. He gave me home exercises to do, many of them were the same as the physiotherapist had prescribed, but the difference this time was that because I was getting adjusted, I was actually able to do them and benefit from them, rather than be in discomfort doing them. Over the next few months, as I followed his care plan, I simply got better and better. Now I'm doing things I wasn't able to do for a long long time. Dr. Matthew Bortolussi was very nice and polite, and very informative in helping me understand the nature of my problem and how chiropractic could help me with it. Dr. Matthew was efficient yet thorough in discussing my health, and evaluating me, then explaining the findings and my test results. Just as he explained, once I began my chiropractic care, I began getting consistently better and better. My pain levels have decreased and my mobility has improved. What an amazing chiropractic experience! My first visit was very enlightening - Dr. Matthew spent a good amount of time evaluating me, explaining my problem and what the best solution was. I've been to other chiropractors who spend but a few minutes supposedly evaluation me and asking me about my problem before beginning their treatment.
