The studio is more casual less aesthetic than the ones in la.Classes are as good as the instructor and unfortunately I left this place not feeling my best. The instructor that taught my morning class talked to me and the two girls there like we were kids and would make u feel dumb. It was probably unintentional but she definitely did not create a safe space. I would not come back cause of this. I parked at the Schoolhouse parking garage on Green St. $1 for up to two hours and it was only about a three minute walk to the studio. Quick, safe and convenient. I had Sheri as my instructor. Even though it was an intro class, we had a mixture of people with all different levels. Sheri was awesome to give different options to those who are more advanced or simply those who would like a challenge. If you're thinking of taking your first reformers class, don't be intimated because your instructor will go over each functionality/part of the machine. One of the things I look out for when determining how much I'll enjoy the class is whether or not an instructor will be hands-on in correcting your form. Like yes, please correct me so I will know what's the correct way moving forward. So thank you Sheri for being hands-on. I was back home for the holiday season and I'm glad Yelp helped me discover this studio.

She gave guidance to the guy in the class and one of the girls, but none to me. She asked me afterwards how I liked the class, and I was VERY honest with my response which I can tell she wasn't too happy about. I gave it some time and decided to give it another shot except this time with a different instructor. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I was so much happier with this instructor. I liked it that much, I came back again and tried out another different instructor but this time, I didn't need any guidance because by the 3rd time here, I was familiar with the class routine. The class is challenging depending on the instructor. It REALLY makes a big difference who's teaching the class especially if you are a newbie to the studio. Studio is nice and clean. There's an area where you can place your stuff. The bathroom is nice and there are some amenities provided for women which is great. Plenty of free parking in a shared lot, but it can get pretty busy sometimes. There is street parking available which is also free.

Bring: water, towel, grip socks Downside: they don't have a real person you can speak to if you're calling. There is only automated person who can't help you if you have anything besides what's the address and where to park. Also, no one is at the front door if it's before you class and you have questions and concerns about parking, class, etc. I couldn't even open the door with the code to go in. I think the key you open it 15 min before class and that's when you can ask a real person questions. I really like lagree because of the low impact, strength training that builds muscle. Usually I do circuit training but this is so different and I love the workout. When we do glutes, I really feel it in my glutes. Usually I don't when I do squats or lunges. My glutes have been sore for 1 week after the class. Highly suggest doing Starter50 or Foundation50 if you haven't or don't know how to do the moves on the lagree machine. Do like 5 classes, even the instructor suggested it because in the regular class, the instructor doesn't come down on the machine and correct your posture at all and it is very fast pace. I did the Starter50 class and it was the pace where I didn't know my form and she was correcting it and lets you know each exercise and corrects everyone. The class still makes you work out and I was sweating and shaking. Lagree machines are clean because at the end of the class, they give disinfectant wipes to wipe down the machine. There isn't a good place to put your stuff besides inside the machine on the floor that has space to put your shoes/sandals, water bottle, and purse. It's not big so don't bring too much stuff. The ambiance is very nice and dark with blue lighting. Very cool. Go early to get the best lagree machine. So you can see the instructor. Parking: there is underground parking on Fair Oaks Ave that is they validate for free for 90 min. If the FRONT parking is blocked, drive around to the back of the building that has a weird curvy small road (right cross street of Leonard J Pieroni St) and there is another entrance to the underground garage. If there is an event, and to the parking person said you'll have to pay, you don't. The studio gives you a validation to park at the curvy road at the back ground parking. HOWEVER, be sure to park at the front or behind the building. DON'T PARK AT THE PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET. THEY DON'T VALIDATE PARKING AT THE ACROSS THE STEEET PARKING LOT.

Tere teaches the majority of the classes here. My issue is that even though her classes are small, I would have hoped that she would actually come up to a student and show the proper form if necessary. Yelling instruction to me over the music from in front of the class isn't helpful to me if I don't understand. I wasn't the only one in the class having issues of poor form or not understanding the proper way of doing the exercise. One of the students in the class told me I was doing the sandbag exercise wrong, I figured she might be right because later that day, my back was hurting a little, and not from the exercise, but I think from improper usage of the equipment. I think the instructor should have guided me properly. Gabriela is another instructor there. I didn't see her last year, but she is a GREAT addition. I tried her bungee pilates class and I LOVED it. It was a challenging class, but she definitely approached me when I was doing improper body mechanics. I wish she taught more often because I would definitely only take her classes. Tere has many interesting classes to choose from, but if a client isn't doing the exercises right, it could be a painful mistake.

I came across this great studio via Groupon a month before my wedding, so I figured, why not try…read moreout the Unlimited Classes for a month. Tere is the owner and she teaches all the classes. It's nice that she tries to get to know each of her students because in other studios, you don't get that special attention. She also sets up her classes throughout the week so that it's easy to switch from one high intensity workout one day and then a low intensity/stretching workout another day to give your body a good all around workout. What caught my eye about this studio was that it offered Aerial Pilates. I've never tried Aerial Pilates before, so I thought it would be fun and something different to try. The first class I tried here was Aerial Pilates and she was so patient with me and other women in the class. Make sure you do not eat too much or drink too much water before this class because you go upside down and push down on your stomach a lot. After about 4 Aerial Pilates classes, I feel a lot more comfortable on the hammock, but I am definitely still a beginner. HIIT is the High Intensity Interval Training where it's pretty much like Bootcamp. She sets up several stations around the room working different parts of your body. You will be sore for a couple days after! If you're not a super active/athletic person, I would just recommend doing a HIIT class once a week so it gives your muscles time to heal. Barre is a sweat dripping class. You up and down on your tippy toes the whole session, so your legs will definitely be shaking at the end of class. Mat Pilates was actually my favorite class at this studio, but that's because I prefer low intensity workouts. I like that I am not dripping sweat at the end of the class, but I feel that my abs, back, and butt were really worked out and felt so firm afterwards. At the end of the unlimited month (I took about 3 classes a week), I was very happy with how my upper body toned up. I had a backless wedding dress, so I think my back muscles were my biggest concern. The workouts all helped strengthen my back muscles a lot more and I could see a lot more definition around the scapula area. I got so many compliments after the wedding!
