If you are looking for a 'budget' trainer who won't push you or hold you accountable for hitting your goals, you are not in the right place. However, if you are looking to work with a trainer who will genuinely care and be committed to helping you make healthy and sustainable progress, there's no one better than Ron. I came to Ron in January 2014 to get in shape for my wedding. We had 4 months and a lot of work to do. To further complicate matters, I had a hip injury that limited both my strength and range of motion. Ron was with me every step of the way. He created a training and meal program that helped me start slow and build up as I gained strength. I was constantly challenged, but even more importantly, I was constantly supported. Ron checked in on my eating every week, and even asked for pictures of my meals so he could give me tips on how to improve. (That was really intimidating, but it also helped to keep me accountable!) After 4 months, I felt stronger, healthier, and more confidant than I had ever been in my entire life. In fact, I enjoyed Ron so much that I am still working out with him today. The wedding may be over, but Ron is helping me constantly come up with and achieve new goals and I'm really enjoying it. This time last year, I would not have believed I could be this strong or this healthy. It's a great feeling and it's life changing.

Great trainer I definitely recommend him to anyone. Helped me with getting into a better mind set about fitness. Fitness is a life style and it's hard to keep pushing yourself to workout each day. Ron made me joy the progress and now I can't see myself ever giving up on it.

I first came across Ron's ad on Instagram and immediately got draw his energy and that's what made me decide to look more into this program. After checking out the facility and seeing and reading about all the transformations, I decided to jumped on board the 6 week challenge to help jumpstart me back into a more active/health lifestyle. What I really liked about the program was that the trainers really want you to meet your goal and don't take it easy on you during the class sessions. What I like most about the program is the fact that the class has a cap size - no more than 15 individuals per class session. That means the trainer is able to really focus on everyone because she/he doesn't have tons of individuals to look after. Their nutrition plan is very easy to follow and it very straight forward. After following the nutrition plan and attending all the classes I was able to drop 6 % body fat and 20 lbs. I couldn't be more happier with the results. If it wasn't because I moved from the Pasadena area, I would've definitely continued with Ron's transformation program. Thanks Ron! I really appreciate everything you did for me over the course of the 6 weeks.

I first joined Ron Le's: A Better Me Fitness bootcamp in February 2017. I was in a post-breakup stage but also the most out of shape I had been. I found them via Instagram and proceeded to do my research on this company and read their reviews. I was still skeptical to reach out to them, until, I had seen a familiar face in one of their posts. I reached out to that friend and she had vouched that they're great, expensive, but great. So, I filled out their online form and within that same day I got a call, not from Ron, but from one of their other trainers to set a meeting. During the meeting, we discussed my fitness journey, plans, goals, nutrition what I've been doing, what I want for myself and recorded my baseline stats. I had a lot of anxiety prior to my first actual class but their trainers are friendly and the BEST at correcting form. I appreciate correction of form so much for safety and accuracy. Plus, their included meal plan is clear, concise and easy to follow at-home. This program is definitely not cheap but, in my opinion, it's worth it. It helped me step-up to keep my health and fitness in MY control while also being supported and pushed by tough but personable and knowledgeable coaches. Even when I had to step back from the program due to personal and financial reasons, upon return, classmates and coaches welcomed me back with open arms, and I felt like I was home again. Thank You, Winnie, Ryan, Ron, Kaori, Henry and David for all educating me in fitness and health, for challenging me to build my strength, and for even working on my mental strength through focus and mindfulness. TLDR; This review is long overdue. Ron Le: A Better Me Fitness, though expensive, is worth it, don't expect to be coddled, be expected to be pushed. You do the work, you see the results.

After the six weeks!

I just finished Ron's 6 week "A Better Me Bootcamp", and I really enjoyed the experience. I started it because I normally have a really hard time losing fat. I work out myself regularly up to 3-5 times a week doing weights and generally am conscious of what I eat so at first I was unsure that the program would be helpful. But even within the first 1-2 weeks I was already seeing a lot of progress. I lost about 14lbs and went down about 7% in body fat (from 20.7% to 13.1%) over the 6 weeks and I can see my abs for the first time in my life! I really learnt a lot in terms of exercises, diet and accountability/lifestyle. The trainers really know what they're doing. I especially found Kaori to be an extremely motivating trainer. She was always quick to adjust workouts for each member even though we are working out in a group, checking in on everyone individually. She really knows how to make sure you are being challenged and also keeping you motivated to rise up to that challenge. Ron also gave me a lot of tips with my form that made a big difference in the effectiveness of the workouts. The diet is really well crafted as well. Ron really makes it as easy and straightforward for you as possible. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed by how much thought has gone into making the diet. The only way he could make it any easier would be to buy the food and cook it for you! I am a big believer in getting the appropriate balance of nutrients in your food and not just calorie cutting like many diets out there do by just making you stop eating. Ron really has made sure that you are eating as lean as possible without sacrificing getting the energy and nutrients necessary. Even more than these things, I think what I will be able to take away from this bootcamp is the importance of making things into a habit and really incorporating things into your lifestyle. I had been wanting to cook more and meal prep more in general, but the most I had done was half of my meals. During the bootcamp, I eventually started meal prepping all of my meals really efficiently. I owe a large part of that to the great support group of all the people in the bootcamp. They are a really friendly and diverse bunch. We shared pictures of our food and recipe ideas daily. It was both fun and helped keeping me on track. It really allowed me to explore all sorts of recipe ideas! I've been eating both more delicious AND healthier food than before I started the bootcamp. As a bit of a skeptic going in to the bootcamp, I want to assure everyone else who is unsure that this bootcamp really works, not because it cuts corners or has any miracle tricks, but because the program has been well thought out and the trainers are sincere in doing their best to help you succeed. You will have to work hard, but they have really made it as easy and as fun as possible to do so. Good luck!!

Our session was good, but I needed time to deliberate before moving forward - it was a bit commitment and I needed some time to reflect. The trainer got incredibly heated, first going on about how great his services were compared to everyone else and then shaming me for not committing on the spot and wasting his time. I let the trainer know that I am unemployed and rely on my parents for financial support, so I needed to deliberate with them before proceeding further. I felt belittled for communicating my needs, and received harsh criticism from the trainer about being "a waste of time." It should be noted that on the website, the first session is advertised as a "no obligation free workout." But the session took place in a paid gym. He paid for the day pass, which I was very grateful for, but upon completion, I refunded the money back. Still, I continued to receive verbal abuse from the trainer post session (see screenshot below) Final thoughts: don't offer no-commitment complimentary sessions on your website if you're gonna accuse people of wasting your time and shame clients. UPDATE: I've continued to be harassed by the trainer. Completely unprofessional.

The classes are very fun and beginner friendly yet challenging. Each coach has their own style of teaching and will go through different combo exercises and conditioning workout. The coaches adjust the level of difficulty based on the level of students that show up for that specific class. Regardless what the level of student, each class will guarantee an amazing workout that pushes the mind(learning different boxing skills) and the body. The gym is very clean and has a small free weights section attached to it. Not only can one improve his/her boxing skill, one can lift weights and get stronger and fitter as well. All coaches are very qualified. Some have been boxing for decades and some are pro fighters. I have taken some private classes. I had nothing but amazing sessions. The price is very reasonable as well. $150 for basic gym membership which includes all classes and all access to the entire gym. $250 is the next level up which is what I have. It includes two 1hr private sessions per months which is easily $200 plus at other boxing gyms. Also, a pair of hand wraps and boxing gloves will be provided when signing up. Another $100 value. Personally, I lost 25 lbs since I joined the gym and on my way to my first sparring session. Shark Boxing is just AWESOME!!! For anyone who is hesitating, don't. You won't regret join this gym.

Gone are the days of easily waking up at 5am to sprint around my college campus without a care in the world. But, thankfully I found Francesca! I was at first skeptical of having a trainer via Zoom; I was convinced that I needed to have someone see and work with me in person. After a session or two however I realized that this was going to work great - with two kids and being a busy professional, Francesca was able to work with my schedule and meet me virtually where I was at, both fitness-wise and time-wise. I've been working with her for a few months now and feel WAY stronger and more fit than I did going into this - and thankfully, with zero injuries. I had a hip problem due to running for the past year that was not responding well to PT, and within a month of working with her I was able to run again, which was a huge breath of fresh air. I literally cancelled my remaining PT sessions because she was far more helpful than the PT folks who were working with me. Our sessions are focused and intense, with me warming up prior and then jumping into the exercises with her. A big plus is that many of the exercises in her repertoire require few props - at most, a chair or a set of 5-10lb weights. Ultimately, I would recommend her without hesitation for anyone looking to step up their health game!
