We had constant contact throughout the entire process. The workers worked non-stop and the work was completed on time as promised. They take pride in their work and they worked diligently and efficiently. This included the cleanup process. They also offer a financing option which was a big deal for me. Most contractors require a percentage down in the beginning and then the balance when completed. I was not able to have all the funds available, so I opted for partial financing. I wish all contractors were this willing to go the extra mile for their customers. What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

Baron Home Improvements came in the middle price-wise, but my experience with Brett and his team made it worth it and not just going with the "bargain basement" contractors. Brett was incredible about communicating with me in advance of, during, and after the job. He explained everything, was upfront about how to cut costs when possible and also offered advice (without any pressure) on where I should not skimp. He was honest, knowledgeable, fair, and really cared about the job. Even after, when I had a question, he stopped by the next day to talk with me and added an extra bit of protection in an area I was (admittedly, probably overly) worried about.
