He advised me that no other type of scan would help and that there is nothing a CT scan with contrast could have missed that's related to my symptoms. He also said sometimes he wishes he could fake symptoms to get scans so he could rule out anything serious. That made me tear up and I told him that I am not faking symptoms to get scans - he immediately said he wasn't implying that. Just that I'm lucky to know it's not cancer or something more serious. My father has stage 3 colon cancer , my best friend has breast cancer, my work supervisor and friend"s mom has stage 4 brain cancer - so yes, I agree it's great a CT scan did not show any signs of that. Said I should come back if this gets worse (I went to see him because it was getting worse and my PCP had told me maybe I just needed a vacation). As any parent of a kid like mine knows , we don't have time to go to the doctors for ourselves. If I'm here , it's because it's already worse.

Jenna is his nurse And his been with him likely longer than I've been his patient as she was there when I went in for my bariatric consultation years ago. Last month Dr Fass did surgery on a large Para-esophageal Hernia with Nissan Fundiplication-he used a DaVinci Robot-He advised a 3 day post op stay-he did such a great job and I was up and about the next morning independently in my room-i discharged on day 2 post operation. He visited me daily. I like his bedside manner, He is caring but very confident and gives explicit directions on follow up care. Prior to surgery he gave me a very good picture of what to expect. He even advised there was a YouTube video that I could observe on the procedure he would be doing. He did not require any gastric surgery to be done when I had this repair unlike another surgeon where I was being treated prior. My incisions healed very nicely and very quickly with no signs or symptoms of infection. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Fass for general surgery as well as bariatric surgery.

I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. When I couldn't accommodate the new time due to work, I was met with clear frustration and no flexibility. So I just made it work anyway. The second happened today: I had a virtual appointment this morning, and moments ago received a phone call demanding immediate payment -- not just for today's appointment, but also for one from a month ago that I hadn't even been notified about until just an hour earlier from my insurance. When I asked if I could pay through the portal, I was repeatedly pressured to pay over the phone instead, as if I was avoiding the bill. I have no issue paying my bill, and in fact, I paid it immediately after the call ended. But I was spoken to as if I had ignored multiple invoices, and the tone felt aggressive and was incredibly inappropriate. I understand that medical offices deal with difficult patients all the time. But kindness should be the standard, not the exception, especially when both phone calls I've had with your office staff have left a bad taste in my mouth. Thankfully, Dr. Ince makes it worth continuing care. But I'm genuinely relieved that my appointments are virtual, because based on how I've been treated, I have no desire to deal with this staff in person.

Caroline, at the front desk, was very helpful. She assisted in helping me fill out my medical transfer records request form, so Jonathan could have my full history. She was happy to help. Overall, Westlake Dermatology must have great leadership, as it shows from when you walk in the door, to when you walk out.
