I decided to check this place out bc I saw really good reviews on here and Gigi's qualifications really stood out to me. I've gone back twice already! I first went in for eyelash tinting and they came out looking so bomb! They look waaay longer now, like I didn't even know they were this long. I booked an appointment with Gigi a couple weeks ago for a microdermabrasion. I initially contacted her through yelp and quickly was booked. I didn't really know what to expect during my first appointment. But I appreciated that she wanted to know my skincare regimen, skin goals, and the current condition of my skin (which she used a fancy machine to do!) She helped educate me on skin health and to be mindful products used and their ingredients. As an African American woman, she cleared up alot of misconceptions about skincare (lightening vs brightening) and our needed use of skin protectants like sunscreen and the recommended SPF amounts for my skin and activity levels. She knows her stuff and uses plant and fruit based stem cell products and is very transparent about prices and products and ingredients. She even gave me a mini tour of your spa, hehehe! She is very immersive in her skincare treatments and very compassionate and it shows because her goal is not to change but enhance what is already there. I love and trust the products she suggests and the prices are very affordable. So the first day she opted that I take home a small brightening kit and come back in a couple weeks and book a signature South Beauty Glow! After using the kit for two weeks, I immediately noticed a difference in the texture of my skin and the glow up was real! So I knew I had to book a South Bay Beauty. I went to Gigi at her studio in Magnolia salon with my girlfriend for her treatment and was suggested to get a inner nose waxing. Due to naseal issues a good waxing really clears up some of my breathing problems. She got everything out of one side with one application and the other side took two. The wax was super gentle and while it did sting it never stuck to my skin and only pulled out the hair and built up dead skin. While i was there she noticed a lot blackheads under her bright light that i would have never seen, after seeing how happy my gf was with her treatment i ended up booking my own hydro session. read more

At first I was kinda skeptical because I had this scar over a year and I have tried everything and nothing has been working on it. I work retail in the beauty industry so having great skin and a day off to treat it is hard. I was able to book an appointment for Sunday afternoon, got the full hydro treatment and it was amazing. Gigi analysed my skin, made sure none of my treatment had sulfur (as I am allergic) , and noticed a broken capillary so she adjusted the pressure of the treatment to my sensitive skin. So many blackheads gone, smoother skin, and the glow I usually have to get from my illuminating foundation. It was a 50 minute session where Gigi used a machine to infuse my skin, basically it was like a suction cup that would push in vitamins and peptides and suck out all the gross oils, build up, and sebum, at the end I saw the sterile container where everything collected and I was surprised how much stuff was in there considering I double cleanse everyday and use a clarisonic 3 times a week. I'm going back in a few weeks to do another treatment and end my habit of poking blackheads. read more
