He was able to shop nearby at Shop Rite and order take out nearby. The front desk guy Neil has been extremely helpful and kind during his stay. He always answers the phone. After a day of being stuck in traffic for literally hours and then arriving at JFK where it looked more like a cattle call than a terminal for departures, API made things fairly easy on me. These are the folks that the airlines call when they have plane trouble and need to put up 500 people for the night in local hotels. API calls all of their local connections, makes deals, blocks huge numbers of rooms, all to be ready for the onslaught of unexpected overnighters. In my case, they just found me a room at an airport Hilton for a decent price. It was like dealing with expedia live...since they make deals based on rooms that would have gone empty had someone like me not shown up. Overall, can't complain. It was good service and it was inside the JFK terminal that I hope never to have to see again in my lifetime.
