My child had been there previously and left, but being so convenient, went back. It is the most unprofessional studio we've ever dealt with (and we've been to a ton from Greenwood to Greenville to Ware Shoals and everywhere in between, all but one of whom we have wonderful relationships with.) My child has complained about a lot with this studio, and many have came and went from the studio for the exact reasons she has complained - instead of teaching, the owner talks entire time, mediocre costumes, owner said she has 3 kids and cannot do all needed, mediocre competitions, not being organized and having everything ready... This year has really brought all this to light. My child was awaiting a solo, but they didn't have time to teach her one (others had one, some even had two), the first competition this year was the worst we've ever attended in 12 1/2 years as far as professionalism goes - we were asked to be there 3 hours early only to sit for two of those hours waiting on owner to give my child her tights, earrings, etc because she doesn't trust the girls to bring them (when my child was 3 in her first competitions, if they forgot things they begged, borrowed, stole, or sat out... As it should be), and when one of my older went to ask for my child's things, she was told by the owner that "I'm doing my face right now and that's all I'm worried about..." HELLO! WE WERE TOLD TO BE HERE 3 HOURS EARLY WHY????, the dance was supposed to be on at a certain time and the teacher/owner was teaching them how to do their hair at the time they were supposed to be on, and my 2 older were filling other girls' hair to help expedite the process and were snapped at by the owner, after the first dance, the next one was to go on immediately and the owner and everyone was just dragging around VERY UNPROFESSIONAL... They even had one dance that they couldn't perform because the owner had never gotten the music ready at the studio... And it wasn't ready until about 5 minutes before the dance was to go on AT THE SECOND COMPETITION!!!! The girls never danced to the music until they were onstage at the second competition. So, Monday the owner sent out a message asking if the girls would come to a competition today (Saturday) since they've not done that dance as many times as they were supposed to (wonder why!!!!!!) and if everyone couldn't, no one would. So one girl's dad said no and it was, "ok we aren't going." A team is all or none. Then he changed his mind. So I said we can't. I can't drive to Columbia with my broken driver's foot and I still am not eating solids from having wisdom teeth removed, My husband had an electric job scheduled and couldn't. No we cannot possibly do it. How about more than 3 days notice next time?! A sweet parent offered my child a ride but she isn't gonna do that work someone she doesn't know that will. So the owner kept on and I said WE CAN'T. She asked my child could someone else do her part and my kid said no! Owner said to me... We're going either way. A nice, large airy space to purchase wine and beer to stay and sip or take home. They had several wines to choose from to drink by the glass and a nice variety of beers on tap as well. You can purchase a bottle of wine or can of beer to consume in the shop for a nominal fee. The owner/manager was very friendly and made me want to come back again. Plenty of space between tables, mask wearing is encouraged (even the resident K9 likes masks), and there is sanitizer available.
