Obviously the Nutella bowl, is going to taste the best, especially since it comes with a berry smoothie and coconut and strawberries on top, covered in Nutella. For healthier vibes tho, the green bowl still is really good, and if it weren't for the strawberry and bananas toppings, probably wouldn't like it as much, bc that's where your sweetness really comes from. read more

AMBIANCE: I did not realize that there was a south block over here, much less that it had a little outside seating area which I thought was cute! Of course it's very close to where cars pass by, but since it's near behind the building, that shouldn't be much of an issue. FOOD: I got myself the green smoothie (no protein) -- pineapple juice, kale, spinach, ginger, mango, bananas. It was THICK!!!! it was very tasty and I was happy and surprised to see there were little pieces of mango left at the bottom. SERVICE: No complaints ! So happy that South Block finally opened in Springfield. One of the best parts about this location is that there are ample parking spaces, so finding a spot is never a problem! The store is always clean and the staff is consistently friendly. I have recently started ordering online for pickup, and the process is seamless. I usually order their Warrior Bowl. The regular size is actually plenty for my husband and me to share! The fruit is always fresh and the quality is top tier. I tried another SouthBlock in D.C. and it is nice to see the consistency of quality and service. Their açaí bowls are always blended from scratch. No sorbet. No syrups. No ice. No shortcuts. Just fresh ingredients. There is an open concept idea here. They have a small outdoor seating area that is attached to the business. Parking is available right in front. We tried south block for the first time tonight and had a great experience! We ordered online for pickup in the store and it took less than 15 minutes to be ready! They had the bowls ready in their fridge when we got there. We had the warrior bowl with Nutella, cali vibes bowl, and the on blast bowl. We all enjoyed the bowls, but thought the açaí could've been more solid/frozen. All their fruit was very fresh and the bowls were a good portion size. We will go back again when we are in the mood for another açaí bowl. It's a great addition to Springfield! read more

Ordered on the app which is super convenient. Today I grabbed the Guava Breeze smoothie. It's a fruit blend with Guava juice, mango and strawberries, not overly sweet and has a bit of tart. It's great for a hot summer day like today! Will be trying a protein smoothie next time. read more

They were professional, kind, and genuinely concerned about making things right. I appreciate a company that listens to its customers and takes accountability. This location is really impressive!!! As someone who has seen this area come up and businesses come and go, I was so happy to see a south block come into the Springfield area. The location is a decent size, and really open and airy with a beautiful open indoor/outdoor floor to ceiling French door option for warm weather to sit outside. The furniture was comfy and the decor was fresh and modern. The bathroom was very clean, music playing and cute paintings of bananas! The menu was impressive too- I haven't seen the cocowhip until I tried this location. The pumpkin seasonal offering was delicious. I'd try the apple crisp one next time. I am and have always been a fan of South block, nothing to truly nitpick except cost for smoothies. I love that you can come up with your own combinations. Swap things out, use alternatives. Downfall? Their app and pricing are different. On the app you can't modify a lot of the menu items that you choose except build your owns...which in store you can... they should allow all options with taking things out of the item you choose such as blended bananas, it is a fruit and you should be able to swap it with another fruit. I understand upcharges or add one, but substitutions should be allowed. Secondly on some of their smoothies it has coconut whip and I am lactose and tolerant so I enjoy the aspect of getting to have a non dairy option or using their coconut whip. Some of the smoothie have as a listed item such as the strawberry cloud smoothie and when I was in store and tried to order online it was an upcharge...glitch on their part, manager ended up "not charging" me this time around...but I have have ordered for other locations in person and was never charged that especially if it's listed as an ingredient in the smoothie. They need to fix that... I am already paying almost $12 not including tip for the drink... the store itself is quite tiny compared to other south blocks I have been too, but I am glad they finally opened doors in springfield. Overall I have never had a bad tasting item from any location, just missing add ins that they normally dont have a problem fixing. read more

Let me start by saying we LOVE South Block products and we buy $20-$30 worth EVERYDAY. Today, I had one of the most irritating and frustrating experiences in my life. I went to pick up our order as we usually (from the Springfield location) do and my 4-year-old heard they have a birthday cake smoothie and wanted to try a sample. The young lady said she would be happy to make one. I asked the young lady to put the sample in a sample in a cup since my daughter is small and didn't want her to spill it. That's when the manager (a woman with no name tag and tattoos on her arms) approached us with an aggressive attitude/tone and said, we will put it in a sample cup. I asked, can we use a regular cup and the manager kept repeating the same sentence like a robot "no, we will use a sample cup". I didn't know why my ask was a big deal. Then she asked if we have the sample added to our order, which I didn't think that was possible. She continued her aggressive tone. I asked for her name, and she refused to give it. I told her I will be reaching out to Corporate to see if this is how south block train their employees. It was very unnecessary interaction over a damn cup. I'd like an explanation from South Block and remedy to this embarrassing experience. We spend way too much money every day at this store to be treated like that!! read more

Been in this place a total of 3 times - as follows: 1st Visit - Had to repeat my order 3 times and they still got it wrong. Drink was over the top sweet - must have been because of the overly ripe bananas (see visit #2 below). Spent $ so choked it down anyway. 2nd Visit - Started to order and then got a glimpse of the overly ripe (depression era) bananas sitting on the counter - so left w/o ordering. 3rd Visit - Had to repeat my order 3 times and they got it wrong yet again (see visit #1). This time I was so fed up I left the drink sitting on the counter w/o asking for a refund - as the person that waited on me stared unblinking. NOTE: My order, not counting water, consisted of 3 ingredients (hardly what I would call overly complicated). Three strikes and your out! Can only imagine what this place will be like when the inevitable total indifference to customer service (which is already in evidence) sets in after the newness wears off. Will never go back. This places drinks are horrible and gave me diarrhea for days. When I got my smoothie it was leaking out the top and I got it all over my shirt and shorts.
