I placed an order for a Mango Magic, but when I arrived to pick it up, I received a Mango Monsoon--an item I have never ordered. I brought the mistake to the manager's attention, expecting the issue to be addressed professionally. Unfortunately, the manager repeatedly asked me if I could "read the label" and questioned whether I was the person who placed the order. I calmly explained that I was and that the smoothie I received was not what I had ordered. His responses made me feel as though I was being accused of intentionally ordering incorrectly to receive something for free. At one point, he asked, "You think I changed the label?" I clarified that I was not accusing him of anything, only explaining that my order was incorrect. The manager also smirked during the interaction, which I found disrespectful and dismissive. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the way this situation was handled was extremely unprofessional. Got an açaí bowl for $10.59 here. It was ok. Tasted good because of all of the sugar but the size was small and I could tell there was more filler than açaí in the bowl. The granola tasted like a crumbled up Nature's Valley bar. Also i think it's to charge $2 more to add a Nutella drizzle on top. Just make Nutella the same price...maybe $1 more. You're better off going to Playa Bowls or South Block for a better quality and bigger açaí bowl. Plenty of parking and seating here though. read more

Went here on a Friday! I made a huge mistake so let me just take responsibility up front. However, I am human so nonetheless, I left my wallet on the counter at the checkout once I placed my smoothie order. I went back to see if I had left it and to my surprise, they said they had it in the register and the employee handed it to me. No here is where it goes downhill. When I checked my wallet for its contents, and not to my surprise to say the least, the cash I had was GONE! ALL OF IT! Again, completely my fault for being careless and leaving it by mistake. Reached out to the store manager to inform him of this and I will have to say I expected a little more care. He claimed to have watched the video and stated that the wallet was turned in by a customer who walked up after me. And the wallet wasn't opened. Only left for me to assume, it had to have been opened at some point. But if she walked up and turned it right in and it was put into the register, who has access to the register seems pretty sketchy to me! Hold on tight to your belongings! But especially when visiting this Tropical Smoothie location as the manager and employees seem to be a bit dishonest even after viewing "4 hours of video" . 6/13/21 Time goes by and only traces of this Coronavirus Pandemic remain. The bathrooms are still closed off to the public; as well, as tables and chairs not being in use. Still the food quality at this restuarant is outstanding and so is the service. I haven't been to this store in a while, but the blueberry smoothie with watermelon was delicious. I am thinking about getting another one this coming weekend. I am happy to be able to walk into this store and not have to wear a mask. Some people are coming out of the mask shell and smiling faces are a great thing to see. The 3 stars is for the customer service at this location (or lack thereof), not the smoothie. The girl at the register didn't smile or greet me upon walking in, and there was a dark hair wedged under the top in between the edge of the cup. It wasn't hanging over the actual smoothie so I just prayed over my drink because I didn't want to return to complain. The actual smoothie wasn't bad. This was my first time at a Tropical Smoothie, because I'm not a huge go-out-and-buy-a-smoothie kind of person. But I was out running errands and had forgotten my bottle of water and wanted something cold. I know that a lot of smoothie places are calorie traps, so I Googled "healthiest smoothie from Tropical Smoothie" and this article came up suggesting the Detox Island Green Smoothie. For $5.82 I got a huge cup that I don't know if I'll be able to finish. At first I thought it was too tart and needed sugar (obviously my taste buds are conditioned!) But after drinking more, I decided I could live with it. It tasted...well, green. LOL. With a hint of ginger. Will I return? Maybe if I'm craving a smoothie and am in the area. But I doubt it. Working in a Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center can be emotionally challenging and overwhelming. Most mornings I would pop into Tropical Smoothie for either a Bahama Mama or a Lean Machine with the fat burner and energizer. I have never felt so welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The associate Shaheeb was taking our order and off the bat it felt like he was rushing us to get our order in, and also seemed like he was confused about our order. We had asked for the kids meal with the 24oz smoothie and he seemed like he didn't know what we were talking about so we had to say it multiple times for him to understand- we also ordered it with the quesadilla +chicken, but we got the ham and cheddar wrap with it. We also noticed we got a third smoothie that we did not order at all but it was put on our receipt. Shaheeb did not even bother to repeat the order back to us and was more focused on going on break. Currently at this place, No customer service , No enthusiasm , no eye contact, or greeting, everyone was speaking Spanish and gossiping about customers don't appreciate it at all. I was in a hurry and as a person who is all about 1st time guests this was not a welcome I wanted. The food was rushed and sloppy. I ordered my usual quesadilla and chicken Caesar wrap to go. Most TS cafes I've been to have been amazing. This is my first bad experience about TS I've ever written. The quesadilla was not Tropical smoothie standards at all. I will not be coming back here. Sometimes on a hot day you just want a nice smoothie. My favorites are the sunrise sunset, mango magic, and the Bahama mama smoothie. If you like sweet I would highly recommend those. I am a big fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafe (TSC). This location was great! Service was quick and the staff was very friendly. When I asked about one of their campaigns to support camp sunshine the young lady who rang me up was informative, kind and well spoken. Smoothies and food were phenomenal as usual. As far as cleanliness there is room for improvement, but I will back! My boyfriend and I ordered the Island Buffalo Chicken Wrap...the ingredients were fresh and the wrap was huge! Very good. I wanted to give this place a great review. The menu looks like it has healthy options but beware. They put sugar in the smoothies and it isn't listed anywhere that they add it. Customer service at this location is the WORST. I waited 18 minutes for a smoothie and had to wait an additional 10 minutes for a wrap. The cashier was rude with everyone and service is slow. This used to be a good location as I drive from afar just to come here but I do not recommend this business. Customer service is horrible. They have 3 staff working but only the girl at the register is working. Other two were just standing around in the back and the line was getting backed up. The service is quick, and staff are friendly. The food is so so good, I always order the Chipotle chicken club and whenever I order they prepare it on time and, is hot when I pick it up. Miss Vickies BBQ chips are so good. can't believe they have it there, not even Target has those chips. them chips are full of flavor you won't find one without any seasoning on it, if you do comment cause I've never seen one. Went here for the first time to this location last week. The location is easy to find and has a ton of parking but It seems that they might need a little bit more help. Walked in to a line all the way to the door with 2 girls working, a third was around but maybe she wasn't on the clock? Waited over 10 minutes just for a smoothie after it was ordered. You can't have it all in this place I guess, but they still get 4 stars for their delicious tall $5 smoothies. We are immediately drawn to the $5 smoothies in this place because hello, they're $5! So our selection is limited but those classic selections are BOMB. We've tried Strawberry Limeade, Blimey Limey, Paradise Point, Sunrise Sunset, and Sunshine. They are all faves and you can't go wrong with any of them. Though their smoothies are 4 stars, they're customer service could be better. There have been times when we arrive and we are just standing there and nobody helps us. There are other times when the cashiers speak to you with a disgusted attitude. I understand sometimes there's no desire to be at work but people need to learn to fake it better so it doesn't discourage customers, because if they lose customers/business, there's no hours for them to work. I've always been a fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafes. The BF and I frequent this location, almost every weekend. I've never had any issues with my food or smoothie orders, he on the other hand has often ordered a bowl and received a wrap/sandwich instead. The staff is a mess, often confused and spacing out while taking your order, I kid you not, one girl turned away mid-order to listen in on another conversation between two employees. Seems like this location has some management issues leading to the chaos and lack of functionality, but hey as long as I'm in, out, and my food is right I'll still come back. read more

Went here about a week ago and it was okay. The good thing about this place is that it is one price $5-6 for a huge smoothie. I really did not like my smoothie but maybe I just ordered the wrong one. It was super icy and did not appear to be made with any, or enough, dairy product (ice cream, frozen yogurt, yogurt). It tasted more like a fruity slurpee. Mmm, delicious smoothies! I'd previously visited the Alexandria, VA location and have always had a very positive experience there. I love the Falls Church / Seven Corners location as well. The strawberry banana smoothie (which I always order) was DELICIOUS. They also have great salads, wraps, and tacos. The food and smoothies are always very fresh and this place is very clean. The Falls Church location also has a good amount of indoor seating, in case you want to dine in. I would definitely love to visit again. read more
