Got the green smoothie then tried the smoothie bowl which is a smoothie with toppings of fresh fruits and granola, kinda like an açaí bowl but not as sweet and more healthy. I knocked down one star bc the pricing on the menu above was wrong. They need to update the pricing on the board to match what they actually charge. Otherwise, workers are somewhat friendly and smoothies are bomb. read more

If you know me, you know I love Açaí bowl and south block is hands down my favorite spot! They have huge portions and definitely do not skip out on making sure you have lots of toppings. I have to be honest here...I am a smoothie fanatic. I have made myself a smoothie bowl or a smoothie almost every morning for the last 8 or 9 years, so I am very particular on the few outings a year I grab a smoothie. With that said, South Block, brava. The gentleman working at the counter was extremely nice and asked me about different customizations for my order. I went with the Strawberry Cloud and left the coconut foam and strawberry glaze in. I'm not the biggest coconut fan in general, but it's a nice acquired taste and a beautiful and complimentary texture. As far as the strawberry glaze was concerned, it was more of a tart strawberry sauce rather than a sweet jelly, which added a nice fresh and distinct strawberry element to the handful of flavors going on. The actual smoothie itself stands alone without the glaze and whip. Beautiful texture and really balanced flavors. I liked what it came with for interest and color, though! All and all at $12 for 16oz, I do think this is one of the fairly-priced higher quality smoothies I have tried. Plenty of places charge that for glorified fruit ice or something lacking flavor. Awesome first experience I was craving some acai and southblock hit that craving. I got the pbj smoothie with peanut butter mango, and acai. It was great and fresh tasting with sweetness balanced out with salty flavors of the peanut butter. I normally only get fruit in a smoothie but peanut butter was a nice addition it is very pronounced but grew on me over time. If you dont like peanut butter or don't like it as a dominant flavor it won't be for you. Service was super friendly and quick. Picked up at the street pickup window. Food: this place is known for its bowls and smoothies. Always so fresh and a really good size so you feel full at the end. The price is high, but you feel really good about it in the end so worth it. I have to come back to try their matcha smoothie bowl next time. Service: they have a screen you can order from, pre order via their QR code or at the register. The staff were nice and helpful. We enjoyed the "greenest" smoothie available and the Warrior Bowl. Both fueled the rest of our morning as we were "walking into" mile 6 of 8. There's something for everyone at SB; the space curls around, goes on and on, and several vendors/bakers also had some delectable offerings. Came here because our hotel breakfast wasn't that great. My sister and I ordered the loaded toast which is an avocado toast, micro greens, and cage free hard boiled egg. They have 2 more toast options to choose from which are the avocado toast and the banana toast. The avocado toast consisted of avocado, olive oil, crushed red pepper, pink Himalayan salt, and hemp hearts. The banana toast is almond butter, banana, handmade granola, raw honey, and cinnamon. The place is clean and they have a takeout window next to the entrance for those on the go but don't want to come inside. There is limited seating so hopefully if you have a large group, you come before the rush. Overall delicious toast! Come on in if you're looking for a healthy breakfast or a snack. read more

This was my second Açaí Bowl experience, and my favorite! Look at that picture, the fruit is fresh and piled high! The granola was so good too! I should have drizzled some honey on the top or gotten some of the chocolate pieces. That would have set it off. But it was awesome as it comes. I am a sweet girlie, and the Açaí mixed with pineapple was perfect! The service was great, quick, easy, and friendly. The establishment was clean, I even had to use the restroom and that was clean too. I enjoyed sitting there to eat too, they have big windows to look out of which was nice. read more

Have been coming here a long time- once a week at least. Today asking for Pitaya instead of açaí was an up charge of $4 (there never was a charge before) and 10g of whey protein was $2 up from $1. Best thing about having even more access to these delicious smoothies and bowl is that there is a Pop Up window!! So you can walk right up, secure your order after ordering online or through the app. Talk about making things easy and efficient. My bowl is always the same because it is so satifsying to me. The Magic Dragon Bowl is my go to bowl time and time again. The combination of the dragon fruit, agave, mangos, strawberries and coconut h2o always satisfies my craving. Plus I like the goji berries that added on top with the granola, coconut slivers and strawberries. I also grabbed a Mermaid Smoothie. As if the mesmerizing color is not enough its my favorite smoothie on the menu! I'm a sucker for anything with pineapple in it!! It also pairs well with mangos, bananas and blue majik. The interior is lovely and very inviting. You can order inside and also arrange your pick order to be placed in the inside fridge as well. The only problem that I have with this place is that it isn't in real walking distance from my job. Got the Killer B. Bowl here and it was perfection!! Honestly can't go wrong with any of the bowls here. I definitely need to try more smoothies in the future. I find that usually a bowl is good to share between two people as a snack or have a whole one as a meal! The ingredients were so fresh and tasted really good and refreshing. I come in here regularly since I live a few blocks away. Açaí bowls are good. However, the company needs to train staff way better. Ordered a Loaded PB&J bowl + whey at the POS kiosk in the store and waited about 10 min, at which point it became clear that they lost my order. Turns out the POS system was set up to send their orders to the Pentagon City store. This wasn't a problem initially, so I showed the employee my receipt and she said she would make it right away. I get my bowl and it's clear that it's missing strawberries so I let them know. The employee I was talking to said what I ordered didn't come with strawberries. I figured I must've imagined it and gave up. I checked the menu and my receipt once I got home and the bowl I ordered did, in fact, come with strawberries. Once I started eating the bowl it also became clear that it was missing peanut butter. I'm skeptical that it contained the whey that I paid extra for since they couldn't even make it with the standard ingredients. If a company is going to charge $15 for a bowl of fruit, then I expect to get what I paid for instead of a bowl missing half of the ingredients. Will not be returning. read more
