I've been going to the cleaners for years before present owner. Had a few problems with her and now with this new owner. Going to any dry cleaners is a luxury and if any owner doesn't know this shame on them. I took some clothes and one shirt was a white collar and was dirty and they just pressed over the dirt and charged me instead of putting it aside and explaining why it's not getting cleaned. The hourly employee had a funk attitude telling me they tried. When confronted the owner she smirked about it, we'll she gone smirk by her self as I take my $40 avg bill elsewhere. After patronizing this cleaners for over 15 years, and spending thousands of dollars, I am disappointed to report I am no longer a customer! The ruined - and tried to hide the fact - a herringbone sports coat that I purchased while traveling. After I returned to the store to point out my situation, they told me; "the dry cleaning machine broke down, and must have caused a problem on my coat"? No apologies, and an offer of $30 for my trouble?? I pointed out the fact this coat was significantly more expensive than the offer and was informed..... no other remedy. AVOID THIS BUSINESS..... THEY LACK (OR DON'T CARE) CONSIDERATION OF THEIR CUSTOMERS - REGARDLESS OF THE TIME SPENT IN THEIR TRADE. I will not return!! read more

What can you say about decent dry cleaner in a sorta ghetto neighborhood? They do a decent job cleaning the clothes, they haven't lost or damaged anything of mine and their prices are pretty fair. The alterations person (Nancy) doesn't speak much English but she does an excellent job for a fair price ($4-$7 for a hem, $7-14 for shirt alterations). She's turned slacks into shorts, cut excess fabric out of dress shirts for a more fitted look, and altered a tuxedo. My only complaint is Nancy's sense of urgency. If you need something done, I suggest you go a week ahead of time and build extra time. (Example: If you need it by SAT of the following week, say you need it by FRI). read more

If I could give them a negative star rating, I would, if you like throwing away money & getting your clothes ruined, this the BEST place to go. I took a white shirt to get dry cleaned and I picked it up & it was stained, they told me they would get stain out, went to pick it up the next day & still stained. Also had a pair of Dockers pants that I took to get dry cleaned, they looked great at first, till I got home. Once I was home I noticed they ruined both buttons on back pockets. I am just appalled by the customer service of this place. This is a true case of - YOU get what you pay for. I brought two brand new dress shirts here for my son that is leaving for Washington in the morning. They were accommodating by doing same day (of course with a fee-which I did not mind paying) BUT when I picked up the shirts - there were black stains on the back of one of them. I brought it to their attention - AND of course they said it wasn't their fault. It indeed was! They refused a refund - they refused to re-clean and they refused to give me their names. It just ticks me off that I spent $40 on a shirt and spent $3 to have it pressed (they had me wash it and bring it back to have it done - same day) AND now its ruined!!!!!!!!!! I reported it to the BBB so hopefully there will be some kind of recourse. I can't trust a business that will not back their mistakes. OH- AND I had to leave and come back because they didn't accept a credit card for under $10 - REALLY$$??!!!!! read more

I live in Austin and entrust my clothing only to the best dry cleaner in the capital city. While visiting Houston, red wine was spilt down the front of one of my favorite dresses. It pretty much filled my lap. :-( The next day I took my stained dress to South Braeswood Cleaners, since this cleaners is located near the church hosting the funeral we were attending. The owner looked over the dress and said that she would do her best but would NOT make any promises. It took several (3+) runs through the dry cleaning process, but they were successful in removing every trace of red wine. The elastic in the waist is a little loose from all of the processing, but that is something that can be remedied. I am grateful for the tenacity shown in restoring my dress. This place is horrible! Horrible customer service with the two Hispanic females at the front counter taking clothes. Ugly attitude just horrible faces no customer service at all. I've been taking my clothes there and last week I took four sweaters. A day after I picked them up I was about to wear one I noticed it was damaged I immediately checked the rest and all sweaters were damaged with a hole in each sweater. Of course I returned to let them know and all they say"sorry not responsible for damages"really my sweaters are at least 3 weeks old. And they don't want to take responsibility of their damages. Well I lost my new sweaters but they lost another customer and it keeps going they will be loosing a lot of customers. This place is horrible please don't take your clothes there. There are better places than this crap!!! I would give them no star at all!! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR WHITES OR BRIGHT COLORS THERE. If I could give zero stars I would. They were very rude when I complained about my stains on my dress and the lady did nothing to solve the problem and rather told me if I'm unhappy I don't have to come back. My friend initially complained to me because i introduced her to them and she took her wedding dress and nice paints to them and it looked as though they didn't do anything to the items except iron because the clothes were still dirty. I decided to go there again because they were fast once when I needed a dress the next day.Horrible customer service second time around.After the experience with my friend and now me, you will never see me or her there again. Stay away from these crooks. The young lady at the front desk accidentally ran my card twice. When I showed the owner there was CLEARLY a duplicate charge on my account statement the very next day, she refused to refund my money or give me a credit even though the young lady at the counter admitted to her mistake. I had to file a dispute with my bank, and of course my money was returned as a result of the dispute. It's sad that I had to go through that process instead of her being an honest business person and returning my money that had clearly been a duplicate charge. read more

Been a customer for the last 5 years. I travel a lot and been to many cleaners because of that. Nothing beats home and South Braeswood Cleaners. Pricing is good, Service is good, parking is bad, and overall experience for the price is great. I bring mainly business attire with a few garments from the family. Most spots come out if you point it to them first. Alterations are priced very well and turnaround is very prompt. My only complaint is the parking. I would definitely aim for non busy hours. read more
