My family has been using Sims since as long as I can remember, probably as long as they have been open. If you want superb service this is your cleaner. They specialize in top-of-the-line cleaning. Furs, wedding or party wear, cashmere and also your every day work clothes. I would not trust my clothes to be cleaned anywhere else. I don't know about Sim City Cleaners' cleaning expertise, but customer service was a little lacking. I walked in with a couple of items to be cleaned, and before I could ask about pricing, the man at the counter looked me up and down and told me that this business usually served "higher-end clientele" and that I might want to look elsewhere. Tip to gentleman at the counter: I appreciate your warning, but don't make assumptions based on appearance. There are other ways of discreetly saying "this might be too expensive for you." read more

I can't understand how anyone is describing this place with 'fair" prices or positively at all. I dropped out a white shirt and suit to be laundered and dry cleaned respectively. I was charged 11$ (!) for the shirt and 27$ (!) for the suit. Those prices are nowhere near what similar neighborhood places charge. On top of that - The woman working there today was INCREDIBLY rude and when I questioned the pricing told the person on the phone she was talking to that "they might have to call 911, because I might have to fight someone". I cannot recommend this place any less and can't stress enough this places is to be avoided. There are so many decent dry cleaners in the area - why choose one with outrageous prices and outlandishly rude staff? read more

Terrible customer service. My clothes came back without a button and when I went back the lady behind the counter was so rude! Then the manager was terrible too. When I asked them to sew the button back on, they told me that I wasn't worth the time. I will never go back, it's expensive and not worth it. I would never recommend going there. Very unhappy with the owner's lack of professionalism and customer service. My mother took my 40-yr old wedding dress and cape to be cleaned and heirloomed. Received a call that the dress/cape had been cleaned, but they were waiting on a box for the heirlooming (that took a few days more). When I arrived to pick up the box, there wasn't a viewing window immediately visible and the box was wrapped in plastic and sealed with packing tape, so I paid for the service $350 plus tax (378.87), as quoted to my mother. I was disappointed I couldn't see my dress right away and wondered if it was even my dress in the box. It was the holiday season and we were planning a wedding so there were bigger fish to fry at the time. A week later, I decided to remove the plastic and verify it was my dress. Much to my surprise, when I opened the box, there WAS a viewing window on an inner box where my dress was sealed in and visible. My cape was not visible so I could not determine if it was in the box. When I looked at the dress, the 2" spot on the dress I tried to have cleaned, was now a larger spot which had apparently run when they attempted to clean it - not a problem. I DO understand they could get out such an old stain. The now larger spot was front and center in the viewing window. THAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND! When we were told the dress had been cleaned and they were waiting for a box, we weren't told "we couldn't get the spot out, it ran, and we're just going to close it up and tape it shut in a lovely box anyway". No one mentioned when I picked it up that the spot was still there. I would not displayed a dress with a spot in the chest. I returned the box and dress to see if this could be remedied by treating the spot further then return it to the box and please display the dress AND cape in the viewing window. The young man who accepted it was gracious and said they would make a 2nd attempt but would stop if they anticipated damaging the dress. The spot could not be cleaned so I just took and dress/cape home. I called the owner, Nicole to let her know my displeasure. She seemed completely disinterested in my call and gave me short, curt responses. She said most people want their dress in the box even if they couldn't get a spot out and I would have had to specifically request they NOT box the dress if they can't clean it. I told her I wanted my money back for the heirlooming service because I didn't end up getting it heirloomed but I'm happy to pay for the cleaning since they tried. She said the heirlooming is the most expensive part of the process (I assumed so). Although she prefaced my request with that statement, she offered me only $100 back on the service and said she wanted the box back ---she already had it! She also spewed out some ridiculous notion that I had received a "discounted" price (first I'd heard), although an employee told me the base price for heirloom service if $300. Whatever! I came here last week to drop off a Kate Spade leather skirt because I was told by other cleaners this is one of the best cleaners to do leather. When I went the lady behind the counter told me the amount and I thought to myself that may be a little high but after picking up my skirt it looked better then when I brought it in I was extremely surprised and satisfied. It was well worth the price I paid to get it cleaned given the amount I paid when I purchased it. read more

I have been driving 90 miles for many years to take my best clothes to Sims. I have never had any problems and have received nothing but the best customer service. Yes, they are pricer than other cleaners, but when you have clothes that you wanted treated with extra care, it is well worth it. I have had so many clothes ruined or lost by other cleaners. With Sims I can trust that my items won't be shrunk or have color transfered or embellishments ruined. They also "stuff" your clothes with a lot of tissue paper to ensure they dont get wrinkled at the facility or back in your own closet. I do not hesitate to recommend Sims Cleaners. read more
