This one although older was very clean during our stop. I rarely use the facilities at these rest areas when traveling in the RV, but after walking around to get the blood flowing again after driving for a number of hours I did here. The restrooms were spic n span clean I will say it didn't appear that the traffic was very heavy through the area so your experience may differ depending on what day and time it is. There are plenty of Truck and RV parking spaces and the same can be said for the car side, with easy access from either parking area. If you have a need to take a break this one should work well for you...

heading toward Atlanta between the holidates I really wanted to clear the construction zones before…read moretraffic got too stupid and having accomplished that a brief pause here was manageable. take advantage of the deceleration lane to slow-down coming in; having a crash on the way in will likely lead to an accident in the lot which would be embarrassing for everyone. plenty of spots once you get in (doesn't even matter what you're driving) and there's plenty of room at the tables for everyone - until there ain't. so anyway: watch out for pedestrians, clean up after yourself and your pets and your children, wash your hands frequently, avoid ultra-processed foods and keep to the right unless overtaking.

My first time in a rest area and I was pleasantly surprised! I thought for sure a public bathroom…read morewill be dirty and smelly but this was the exact opposite! It was probably the cleanest public bathroom I've ever seen. It seemed to have been cleaned right before we got there because the smell of cleaning supplies was out the door! No paper towels to dry our hands but there was an electrical dryer. There is a changing table also that is similar to the ones you find at airports (not the hanging plastic one). Outside, there are multiple vending machines as well as tables and benches to eat on. The whole area is very well kept. The organization that is managing this area is doing such a great job! If you are on the road and this rest area is on your way, stop by and rest a little!

Unfortunately this place was backed up at the big rig fuel islands but everyone followed the trucker's protocols so the line moved fairly quickly. The staff at the fuel counter were friendly and professional, I over estimated the gallons I needed to pump just to ensure my tank was completed filled which required a second trip inside to get my actual receipt. Looking at the condition of the fuel islands it shows how busy this stop is, the pump lanes could use a good pressure washing and the paper towel holder and hand sanitizer dispensers needed some attention, it was nice to see the bug sponges were new and the buckets were filled with soapy water. I would return if and when I'm back in the area, the entrance and exit drives were well marked and provided easy access to and from the interstate..l

Unlike rest areas back in Ohio, SC allows overnight parking in their rest areas and they provide a well lighted, safe parking area. Good selection of vending options and fear not - you don't need a pocket full of change, the vending machines accept crdit cards.

I stopped here for the first time in 10+ years. The waitress was so rude and the restaurant that I just got up and left, I walked over to the other part was looking gonna do my laundry, walked around the store and look, and I thought it was a lot lizard approaching me, but it was an employee, between touching my arm and calling me, baby and telling me to let her know if I needed anything. I figured I'd just go on down and get my fuel, not realizing there was food down there. That little girl that's working there has the prettiest smile and even looks like Goldilocks, everything on that bar looks so good. I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I got two plates and it was as good as it looked. I hadn't had food that good since the last holiday with my family, there must be different management for each building because you can tell that front building nobody gives a shit, and the fuel house like it wasn't even a part of that front building. I would definitely stop in there again just to eat in the fuel building, and I love the shop. The truck shop them guys have always been fantastic. Don't waste your time walking that parking lot to that front building, the iron skillet looks like it's halfway shut down. They just need to go ahead and sit at the rest of the way down. It's disgusting in there if you're hungry go in that fuel building that food was really really good.
