I've been to this antique mall many times over the years! Sometimes I go because I'm looking for a specific piece and sometimes I go just to walk around and look; clear the mind. There's LOTS of booths and I always end up finding something to leave with! Sometimes you find the most interesting pieces. Prices depend upon the booth owner but you can find lots of reasonably priced items in there. If the staff see you wandering around with full hands, they will help bring your purchases to the front and put them on hold for you so you can continue to shop without lugging around all your finds. They do have baskets for you to use but if you're like me - you never think you'll need one until it's too late. I love that booth owners add seasonal items to their sections. I have a real love of holiday decor. Overall, great place to visit. Hours get lost in here hunting treasures. They do have a large (free) parking lot. A small seating area in the back with drink and snack vending machines. Restrooms. Well lit. Music playing and back rooms to explore as well as the main floor. read more

If you have a lot of time and have a good pair of walking shoes, stop by. A huge place packed with lots of old antiques and some that are just junk people want to get rid of. Some booths are well organized while some look like the owner just tossed stuff on shelves. Some prices seemed high while a few pieces of old furniture were cheaper than modern furniture that is not nearly as well built. read more

This place has it all! We popped in here during our Sunday drive and I was wowed. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot and I'm always looking for quirky decor to put in the house. They had things from fencing masks from 70's couture clothing! I could've walked this place for hours! It was packed with people and things! read more

I'd like to echo the other reviews about the racist memorabilia that is in every corner of this mall. It shouldn't be common place in this day and age that although something is 'antique' it should not be sold or displayed. Another thing is the rude and righteous middle aged woman who works there - I tried to redeem my stamped card for $5 off my purchase. She refused and said I had to purchase a total of $25 before getting a discount (which on MY card, does not stipulate a minimum purchase amount). I relay this to her and she said "I don't care what it says this is the rule now." If you can avoid interacting with the staff and simply look past the racist figurines/messages there, then i'm sure you'll have a grand time. 1 star, but the place is huge, so i'll give it 2 stars. read more

i had very very high hopes for this antique mall, however, i was extremely disappointed. like the other reviewers, i encountered many, many, racist figurines and art pieces that were obviously made by westerners. inaccurate depictions of indigenous, black, asian, and latine people were all over the store, and the pictures only show some of the items that made my friend and i extremely uncomfortable as poc. one of the pins absolutely disgusted me, with racial imagery and slurs describing a black child. i think the store should work on refusing some items that sellers try to display, and i don't think i will be coming back anytime soon. read more

One man's junk is another man's treasure... Although this antique mall has lots to offer, I couldn't find my treasure. The place is huge, and filled with individual vendor stalls. I guess my process of antique hunting is just not a good match for this smorgasbord of trinkets, furniture, housewares, and memorabilia. Admittedly, I'm just a fair weather antique hunter. So perhaps those who are die hard antique junkies will enjoy getting their fix here...there certainly is a variety of booths to explore! I will also admit I liked looking at the furniture. I think the selection of big pieces was good. For me I like those small little shops that make me reminisce about years gone by...but if you like large and sprawling, then this is the hoarding spot for you! I visited this antique mall yesterday and have been a longtime customer. While shopping I saw an armoire that I liked. I took a photo of the tag so I could inquire about if it was still there and rent a truck. I contacted Home Depot to confirm they had a truck available and then called the South County Antique Mall and asked if they could check to see if the item was still in the back gallery. I live an hour away so it would be 4 hours of driving to drive there check to see if it's there, drive back, get the truck drive another hour, then drive back to drop off the furniture, then return to the Home Depot. I asked the man who answered the phone if they could take my number and when they had a moment run to the back to see if it's still there. He told me without the booth number it wasn't possible. It's a two minute walk that could save me two hours of driving and he flat out said no. I understand if it was a small item that was difficult to find but it's a giant painted brown armoire with a green plastic knob. It's hard to miss. On the back is stamped 272. South County Antique Mall you have proven that you have little disregard to your customers or your booth vendors. That would be a sale for someone today but instead you have lost a customer. I will continue to support the other antique malls where they have been considerably more respectful of their customers. Management it sounded like a young man and today is 9/7/14. I hope you realize that the right thing to do would have been to say,"Well we are a little busy right now, give me the description of the item and where you found it and when we have a break we will send someone to check on it and give you a call back." I wish I could give this location 0 stars. While the location is huge and filled with treasures if you can't get the people who are hired to sell them to you help you buy the items, what's the point? read more

This place is kind of the department store of antique malls. It's huge, they have a ton of stuff, and a lot of it is pretty mediocre. However, a lot of the stuff is great, just be ready to dig, be ready to walk, and be ready to be overwhelmed. If ever I need a small object to complete a project, or I am looking for some really cool piece of pottery to put on a book shelf, or just want to dig around in old stuff, I often hit this place up. It's close to my house, and is really the only place of it's kind out here in South County. I could (and have) spent hours digging through stuff and just walking around here. It really is as big as any Macy's I have ever been in, but holds much cooler stuff. I don't think there's a type of antique this place doesn't have, and the prices won't make you roll your eyes that so many antique malls do. At least South County is doing something right. read more

Good antique and collectible mall. Pretty big. Decent selection of antiques, collectibles (lots of toys and stuff I remember from the 80s), glassware/decorator stuff. Fair amount of "mantiques" - tools and knives and rusty things. They have some clothing (some vintage, some just used), vintage hats and linens. Prices range amazing bargins to super crazy expensive. Longtime antique mall shopper here. A good friend recommended South County Antique Mall, and so I've purchased a handful of pieces of furniture and lots of smaller items from this specific antique mall over the last five years since moving to the area (in total, I've probably spent about $900 in this mall -- give or take $25). However, each visit has been more unpleasant than the last. I have decided not to return again due to the escalating poor customer service. The mall layout is good, as is the variety of vendor booths. And, the prices are more reasonable than most antique malls in the metro area -- I've shopped them all. However, the demeanor and attitude of the folks working here just gets worse and worse. Every time I've been there, I've overheard a staff member be dismissive to a customer. A few times, there have been two or three workers behind the big counter complaining in front of customers about their jobs, about another team member, about customers they didn't like, or how awfully tired they are. In my visits, I have not had to engage with the staff here much beyond checking out, but on the few occasions that I did ask a question at the counter or of a worker in the aisles, each spoke back to me in an unmistakable tone as if I was bothering them and reacted very put out and annoyed. Look, I've worked many years in a retail store as a salesperson and as a manager, and so I know from personal experience that working with the public can be very challenging and exhausting when some customers are difficult to please, but the staff here exhibit a genuine dislike for many of their shoppers. It just isn't worth the trip for me anymore. read more

I love this antique mall. I drive up from Nashville TN about twice a year to visit. I always come home with at least a box of goodies I've found at very reasonable prices. It's huge. It is in an old Kroger store so can image how big it is. To go through it takes at least 2 hours and maybe longer. This is the best one in the area although I've been to some other good places. Great prices, friendly and helpful vendors and staff! Impeccably clean with easy access to promote their items in stylish display booths. Thank God we got here hours before we have to be somewhere else. We've been in the checkout line for 30 minutes now and still have 4 more people in front of us. I thought only the Post Office and DMV moves this slow. If I didn't have someone from out of town with me who was buying something I'd put my stuff down and leave. Cow- a- freakin' - Bunga.....this place goes on and on and on. You could easily spend an entire day here and still not see it all. It is individual little vendor areas and they all reflect something different. There were several booths that were having sales also --I saw a ton of books, nice unique furniture pieces to tuck into little spots....just a ton of pictures and art pieces. This is like a junk store on steroids. I thought the prices were actually decent. I only viewed this store as stuff for the home and not looking for collectibles or antiques. Just more decor and things to add character and whimsy to your life. I would get bored after 30 minutes in here so I did a fast look-see around and missed over 1/2 the store but I will now make this a stop for when I am bored and just want to pick around or if i have 25.00 that is burning a hole in my pocket and I feel I just need to purchase something different. read more

It's not bad, but how good it is depends on what you're looking for. Quite a few of the booths stretch the word "antique" until it breaks, not even reaching "vintage," so it's really more of a flea market than an antique mall. That said, If I go here twice a year I'll probably find something good each time. If I go a couple of times a month, I'm going to clean it out pretty quickly. I'll have to look in a lot of booths, and walking through all the booths once makes for more than a mile walk, but the exercise is good for me. Your results will probably vary. Worth checking out at least once, but it's more likely to become someplace you go occasionally, not a weekly haunt. read more

I was rushed out of making my final selection. They turned the lights off on me in gallery 3 when over the PA system it said we still had 15 mins. I approached the woman, she wouldn't even let me ask her a question. I reported it to the manager and he said he'd been working with her for 20 years and I was in the wrong. I think the way I was treated will be a reminder to never return there. I will contact the owner about the woman and this manager. They don't deserve working with the public and probably affect the earnings of the business. What a shame read more

Large large antique mall. For what they have, it's a good selection. Not really much my style. Not really much other than flea market finds ands a lot of tchotchkes. But, just because I'm not into these things, does not mean it isn't a decent mall. For rise of you who like vintage and knick knacks, this would be heaven for you.
