We were staying in Chesterfield and almost overlooked this little market... It's not much to look at from the street, but if you pass by you'll kick yourself later. Tons of smalls to go through. Make sure you look up towards the ceiling as you're walking through the aisles. The owner's collection of lifesize figures from pop culture is worth the stop even if you don't find anything to take home with you! read more

----- Concise Review - Wide variety of items old and new, though mostly older - Fantastic selection of "live wood" at John's "store" / "station" just to the right at the bottom of the ramp ----- Longer Review Our daughter wanted to hand a shelf on her wall, a long piece of wood to be supported by two brackets underneath. It took a while for me to look into where to get such wood, and I identified at least one reputable reclaimed lumber source. Soon after our daughter discovered the Chesterfield Antique Mall, and we visited. There are many many people who sell antiques there, each one with a store / shop - their own space. Some are toys, cameras, stained glass, newer soaps and even a statue of Elvis. We did find a couple stores within the Antique Mall selling reclaimed lumber, and all look nice. Then we wandered down the ramp to the lower level and found John's shop... with amazing pieces of Walnut, Cherry, Hickory and other pieces of amazing wood. John cuts the wood from trees, and most pieces have the edge / bark on them (clean / safe for inside). John calls is "live wood," and e dries it in a kiln, making it sold and dry and unlikely to every warp. John also sells brackets for hanging the wooden shelves on the wall. We happened to meet Collin, who gave me a few tips... thankfully. Soon after we got some urethane and applied four coats over the following couple weeks. We also had the brackets powdercoated at Gateway Powdercoating. The end result was awesome. Since then we've visited the Antique Mall a few other times, getting: - Wax chap stick hand made locally - Firestarters, hand made locally - Corked bottles for ink, paint, other items - A tall thermos, like the the we lost years ago - Local honey - wildflower flavor and Elderberry flavor - "Three nights in August" by Buzz Bissinger - in a store with quite a few Cardinals items ----- ----- read more

I do not recommend this shop at all. I was checking out at the shop I purchased several items I was checking out and paying for my items there was a gentleman packing my items up wrapping and placing in a box. I thought they would pack it nicely and secure. well when arriving at hom I was excited to dig in. after unpacking my items I noticed that the vintage bottle of shalmar perfume was just wrapped in one piece of small newspaper. I was concerned for good reason as upon unwrapping the glass bottle it was cracked..... after calling about my recent purchase that day come to find out he was the owner. one would think he would know how to securly pack vintage glass. I wasn't worried at the time he placed everything in a box all together. a lady returned my call saying he was the owner who packed it and would give me 10 percent offy next order. I wasn't asking for a coupon. I don't know why but since he packed it I expected a 50 dollar credit. that's what I paid for the shalmar bottle.after shopping in the store spending a few hundred dollars. I would have probably returned and spent way more than that. I probably could have even got this off Etsy cheaper, but I enjoyed shopping so much in the shop and it being local. I will not return. heads up pack your own box if you are buying delicate vintage glass because this owner doesn't realize how delicate these items are. :( truly disappointed. read more

I had never been to the Chesterfield Antique Mall before. I went with my friend who has been buying pieces of wood for his house here. It's fairly small for an antique mall but the space is put to good use and all of the booths are occupied. Confession: I used to own a 35,000 square foot antique mall and know this business well. Walking around this mall I felt so happy that I was no longer in this business. It's a tough business! It's no one's fault but there wasn't much of anything in here very old or very valuable. I'd return for decorative items but if I'm looking for antique or vintage this isn't going to be my first thought. read more

Fun to walk around and view the individual shops - although not many real antiques. Mostly crafts and typical second hand shop items. They have recently cleaned up a lot of their space but be careful when purchasing as you will not be able to return or exchange. They also need better customer service. read more

Don't waste your time coming here. I was so excited to see a new antique store open in the area and was just so sadly disapointed. The employees lack all knowledge of basic customer service. Walking in I was immediately ignored by the woman at the front desk that was chatting away on a phone. As I continued into the store there were 2 additional employees arranging a booth talking amongst themselves and ignored me even as I stood there staring at the items around which they were fiddling. In fact, i was in the store 15 minutes before I even got a "hello" from someone I passed in the hallway accompanied by a bored, non smiling face. On to the "merchandise". There were no "antiques" in this store. Only a shameful collection of crappy discards. I tried really really really hard to try and find a treasure to purchase. I looked in every corner and case. Nothing. I even lowered my standards just to find one thing that I could pick up and say " I found it," my justification for wading through this sad excuse for a store." Alas, it was not to be found. I really don't see how this place will stay open. Goodwill has more antiques than this place. read more

Lots of booths with very reasonable prices! We spent two hours here easily. There are booths with refinished furniture, booths with antiques, and those with shabby chic decor. Very good selection here. Some of the booths had refinished furniture made of real wood at prices cheaper than you can buy particle board crap furniture. read more

Man I love this place. The people working were extremely helpful and very nice. Talk about a wide variety of items, from Elk heads and Barn-wood tables to vintage jewelry and dolls. My wife and daughter absolutely love the place and they have plenty of items to keep me busy while they do their thing. We have been there a few times now and they appear to bring new stuff quite often. If you are in the valley shopping it is a great place to extend your shopping day. read more

This place is wonderful. The employees were so helpful in locating the item I was looking for. Very clean ( bathrooms especially), well organized booths, and the price point for merchandise amazing. I could go to other "antique malls" and spend hours just looking at the same items in 100's of booths and get lost in the process. Chesterfield Antique Mall is by far the best St. Louis had to offer. Wow. These people need to figure out what they're doing or they won't be around for long. Here's our experience: We found an item in a booth that was unpriced. We brought it to the front desk & waited while the cashier was having a personal conversation with her sister. Once we finally got her attention she told us she would "look it up". We came back a couple minutes later to see if she found the price & she told us she was like checking Google & eBay and would let us know. What?!?! If we wanted to pay eBay prices we would be at home on eBay! The price she quoted us was so incredibly high we felt the whole thing was pretty shady, so we decided to pass. This is where it got really fun. We wanted to purchase 3 small items. They were each priced. Super simple right? 20 minutes later (!!!) we are still standing at the desk watching the cashier look up the vendors for each item & double checking the prices (did I mention the prices were already on the items?). When we suggested that they update their system she sharply informed us this WAS their new system. We waited no less than 27 minutes to make a $20 purchase. A friend had an equally awful experience with them & I wish we would have listened! I want that hour of my life back. Never again. read more

I have always enjoyed Antiques & vintage items, this mall has it all ! I love vintage kitchen items,jewelry & art, I also love catholic figurines & vintage toys, I was so surprised to find many of items ,so very much to choose from & nice booths. I had a great conversation with one of the staff members,she is very up-beat & an educated lady about antiques, I felt very comfortable looking at all the great vintage & everyone was so helpful prices are very reasonable , I will be back with bells on !! read more

We were driving through Chesterfield area and stopped at Chesterfield Antique Mall and were pleasantly surprised. The store is clean and well laid out, the items in the booths are nicely displayed and the prices are reasonable. A definite place to stop at the next time I'm in the area. read more
