Great location right in the heart of Maplewood on Big Bend Blvd with a large parking lot right in the middle of their two shops. Loads of booths to explore in each site and if you need a restroom that is in the smaller building ;) Always something to find even when you aren't looking and yes some things are priced rather high, but that's what makes finding a gem for a steal even better! There are actually TWO TREASURE AISLES with a parking lot between them on Big Bend in Maplewood. Not sure but my guess is around 400+ booths with virtually everything you can imagine and/or desire. Each store has had two staff members every time I have been there and they have always been very helpful (Including many times sending me to the booth that had exactly what I wanted. My wife collects vases for flower arranging. I am more into books, music, art and fishing stuff. We both find what we want or even things we didn't know we wanted until we saw it. And best of all 90% of the time we are finding things that are very reasonably priced. read more

Over 170 vendor's booths in this clean, brightly-lit antique mall. Good variety of items from comic books and records to furniture, jewelry and china. Most of the pieces I looked at had decent pricing, and a few sellers were running "sales" offering their wares at a discount. I've been here four times over the past 16 months and always find something I have to have. They take credit cards on a $10 minimum purchase. The BF and I stopped in here last night to look around. I thought it might be quick but it turned into 2hrs of pleasure. I don't rememebr ever stopping in before. I know I have been to the antique mall across the parking lot but not in here. I absolutely loved it!!! They have a great variety of items. I enjoy junking/antiquing/flea markets from time to time. There are countless booths to checkout. The aisle are neat and orderly. Some of the booths you may need to climb in there to navigate and look. The employees are friendly and helpful. They accept credit cards for purchases over $10 and checks. They have some of everything in here, literally!!!!! You can find some great kitchen gadgets, which is my thing or be taken back in time like never before............from posters, to art, to action figures and MORE. There were a few items that caught my eye but the price did not, so I kept it moving. There are many countless unique items in here. It's soo cool. As from time to time each vendors booth may have a sale going on, which is displayed in plain sight. They share a parking lot with the antique store next door. The parking is ample and dimly lit, so beware. They are open until 7pm. If your driving down S. Big Bend Blvd, definately take the time to stop in. read more

Antique malls usually turn me off in a major way because: 1. Sometimes people act like their rental booths are their own personal garage sales and throw in every single item they own that they think some shmuck will buy. No one wants your 1992 nonstick pot that still has spaghetti sauce caked on, okay? 2. When people mark everything absurdly high because they have this mentality that if something is 25 years old, it somehow qualifies to be on Antiques Roadshow. Do you really expect me to pay a million dollars for a 1984 issue of National Geographic????? 3. The general haunted nature of side of the road antique malls. I once went into an antique mall in mid-Missouri and thought I was going to get shanked. 4. The fact that in most of the antique malls I've been in, whoever is working there is MIA, watching the tiny tellie, not knowledgeable, not friendly, eating a sandwich? Treasure Aisles is amazing. It's perfect. It's wonderful. It's great for hardcore collectors, and it's great for people like me, who buy unicorn pendants, unopened old beer (wtf), and backgammon sets for $5. STEIN PEOPLE SHOULD BUY STEINS HERE. They are damn cheap and there are probably about 100 steins scattered throughout the various booths, maybe more. There are loads of StL oriented items that will not break your bank. 1935 street guide for 12$? Lots of AB items. Lots of TWA items. An ET tray table. Falstaff coasters. 1956 Laclede Gas cookbook (man they were REALLY hardcore about gelatin recipes in the 50's). Partridge Family lunch box. Employees are super friendly. The store is bright and clean, not creepy and weird. Everything is displayed and organized pretty well. You don't have to do much digging or crawling to pull stuff out. The items aren't caked in 2 inches of dust like at other malls. This place has inspired me to purchase antiques as holiday gifts. I think I could find something for my entire family, all of my friends, and of course myself all in this one shop without breaking the bank. If the thrill of the hunt is not your thing, then Treasure Aisles is not going to be your favorite place. This is for someone who appreciates the process of finding a cool piece, not just the item itself. There are so many booths full of stuff that it can be overwhelming at first trying to decide where to go and what to look at. I think I spent about 2-3 hours in there, just browsing up and down the aisles. This place is sort of a cross between a flea market (everyone has their own booth), a yard sale (sometimes it's junk that people should just throw away), and an antique shop (sometimes there are items that actually have value and quality). There are tons of interesting and weird items, from furniture to useless knick knacks to conversation pieces to home decor. Things I really liked were the typewriters, old books with gold-embossed covers, all the colored glass bottles and mason jars, vintage suitcases, and old cameras/video cameras/projectors (I ended up buying one of the cameras). As for price, that varies by booth (as mentioned by previous reviewers). You just have to look around! One note, though, this is not the cleanest place. I would be careful when looking around and touching things because most items were dusty and some items were outright dirty. I washed my hands up to my elbows when I got home (before I started cooking)! Overall, this is a cool place if you like to search for interesting items. From the outside it looks like a store full of junk. But then, that all depends upon your definition of junk. You know, one man's trash... I appeased my friend by going in. She loves it here. Has even sold stuff here, as it's consignment. At first glance it looked like a bunch of tchotchke and again, that's subjective. I found that after looking a bit beneath the surface, there really are some cool finds. They've got tons of books and some new things, even shabby chic decorations and Limoges dinner plates (for $4.95!). What appealed to me were the rooms filled with memorabilia and old-fashioned wares like vintage cookie jars and beverage glasses. You have to really plumb the depths, as I'd say a great majority can be cast aside. But when you find that one thing, then it's worth the search. read more

There is another antique place right across the parking lot and I would not recommend them, since they were very rude! I was enjoying this mall on Saturday afternoon, just looking around, when a gentleman in the booth ahead of me reached up to get an item and the entire (sharp-cornered) shelf fell on his head. There was blood. Lots of it. He left in a hurry and the store employees were COMPLETELY unconcerned -- didn't even offer him a paper towel to help stanch the blood flow, which was pretty substantial. Honestly, I've always wondered about some of the precariously-perched junk in this place, and while I've picked up a treasure here and there, that experience has me completely turned off to this place. That, and the fact that the man who seems to be the head honcho is really, really patronizing and calls all women shoppers "Hon." Creepy!! Anyway, I was so utterly disgusted by the employees' cavalier attitude toward a customer who had been seriously hurt in their store that most probably I will never go back. read more

Treasure Aisles is a neat shop that is divided up into cubicle-like stations which are rented by the people selling their goods on consignment. There are all kinds of "treasures" to be found here. It is kind of a mix between a garage sale and an estate sale. The goods inside turnover often enough that its worth making regular visits to see what's new. The inventory and prices vary widely from glassware, steins, furniture, baseballs cards and old vinyl records. Most items appear reasonably priced. The parking lot is huge so there is no problem finding a parking spot. If you have driven past this place a million times, I suggest stopping by and looking for some treasure for yourself. read more

I've been to this place quite a few times, I'm always on the lookout for taxidermy and this place definitely has the most compared to other antique places. The prices on taxidermy range from adequately priced to over priced (antler mounts and horns) to very affordable things like pheasant mounts and I once got a great cat skull for 20$. The antler mounts can be weird, some priced around 25$ and others in worse shape for more? Today I found a deer head mount and hoof mount combo for a hundred dollars but also found a simple antler mount for almost the same price. Prices are set by booth owners so dig around and keep looking for similar things in other booths but for cheaper. Best antique store in a large radius. read more

I could spend 6 hours in here . . . probably spent an hour in the first aisle alone. There's so much stuff here. You DO have too look at everything. There are hidden treasures in every corner, on every shelf. Just depends on what's your fancy. There's probably something for everyone. Each booth is so well-maintained by the individual selling the stuff. I guess this is a consignment situation while renting booth space. While there, I saw three booth renters snazzing up their displays and adding more stuff. I saw so many things I have, and got excited that I MIGHT have things worth money. This place is my favorite store in St. Louis. It's a real scavenger hunt! Maybe you're looking for something specific, or maybe you're waiting to be inspired-- either way, set aside an hour or two at least to pore over the depths of the store. This is the closest St. Louis has to a real, old fashioned flea market. The guys that run it are incredibly friendly. You can store items there up to a week after purchasing if it won't fit in your car... then there's a storage fee. I try to get there often-- there's always new stuff in and sales going on. For instance, there's this fantastic rocking chair that's been there for months... almost bought it a year ago in November for $100. I ended up getting it for just $40 on sale! Sweet! Its neighbor, Big Bend Antiques Gallery, which shares a parking lot, is nearly as good, but it seems like more of the vendors either know the value of what they're trying to sell and it's harder to find bargains on cool stuff, or the stuff is vastly and painfully overpriced. Still-- I've found some cool stuff there as well! Just more hunting required. read more

This is a 4.5 stars for sure! My friend and I came here because we've been seeing it on our way to Kakao a few weeks ago. We didn't make it to Kakao that night. Walking in, we see so many things. Cute trinkets, tea pots, tea cups, shelves, old books. Each little area is so cute and nifty. We kept on wandering through the aisles until they closed. We found a shelf with lots of cute little ceramic tea cups. They had a metal lining and blue flowers. I fell in love with them. There was a subset that cost 6 for $6. I got 6. We also found a shelf with really cute but tarnished silver creamer and sugar sets. I bought one. On the same shelf there were butter dishes and teapots. My friend and I each ended up with a BEAUTIFUL teapot and she bought a butter dish. This place is fabulous. I can't wait to come here again! I will probably be looking for more random kitchen things and tea things. HUZZAH! read more

My opinion is that this is the best antique mall in St. Louis. There are definitely hidden gems throughout and the items tend to be rotated fairly frequently. The prices are dependent on each booth, but I've always found them reasonable. The booths also offer diversity from furniture to home decor to collectibles. read more

Ooooh the irony... I grew up being dragged to antique malls by my mom, grandma and aunt. I HATED it. Antique malls smell weird, I wasn't allowed to touch anything, and I generally found them creepy. Fast forward 20-some odd years and here I am, willingly tromping through booths full of god-knows-what in search of dining chairs and other gems for my apartment, which to the horror of 9 year old me is in fact not the ultra modern space I once envisioned living in. Treasure Aisles is, to me, your quintessential antique mall. Booth after booth, some so full of junk you can't even walk into them, but mostly decently curated furniture, housewares and other interesting finds. Pricing here is generally pretty reasonable, especially compared to Big Bend Antique Gallery across the parking lot. On my last visit I scored a set of cafe chairs for $18 each, and supposedly on larger ticket items they are pretty willing to negotiate, or at least knock off 10%. Compared to lots of other malls I've been in the staff is also much more laid back and approachable... or as my dad put it "this one seems to be run by a different generation than that other one" (referring to Big Bend). Definitely a good spot to check out if you're looking for furniture! read more

For purchases $10 and under, they will only accept cash, not debit or credit. I'd picked a $6 book, and they patiently waited for me to ask my friends if they had cash, then find another item to add and bump up my purchase price. Very friendly people. The only negative I have is that the aisles are fairly narrow and the booths aren't super spacious, so it's easy for the place to feel crowded. read more

I went antique-shopping for the first time today to try and find some unique things for my new apartment, and this was the first place I visited. It was a blast. I had so much fun browsing all the different booths and looking at all the interesting kitchy items and trinkets and vintage furniture. I purchased a couple small pieces of furniture and a "chic shabby" mirror, and I was really excited to get them in my first-ever apartment. My enthusiasm was dampened by one of the older gentlemen, whom I assume is one of the owners, who "helped" load my purchases into my car. He was terribly grouchy and unpleasant and all he really did was aggressively shove the pieces into my small sedan until the doors would close. Albeit, my car is pretty small but the pieces were not bulky or heavy, and all you had to do was gently maneuver the pieces a bit. Not even a minute after he closed my doors and walked away my mirror shattered! I didn't know what to do, so I went inside for some assistance, but the same guy became hostile without any provocation from me, blamed it on my small car and walked away. I hadn't been argumentative at all, and I was a fairly shocked, at the guy's rudeness and about my brand new mirror. Also, if he had suggested beforehand the pieces didn't really seem to fit, I would have happily returned later to ensure safe transportation, or tried to load my car myself. Lesson learned. I would definitely visit this place again, despite the rude service, because there are some really great finds. read more

Disappointing selection of vendors, some good items but overall stale merchandise and at least one vendor has all-new signs made to look old. I bought a vintage Crosley jukebox with a "working light " and found it had been rigged with a new LED light, which seemed an obvious misrepresentation. While this antique mall shares a parking lot with Big Bend, a very similar store, the two are quite different. Treasure Aisles is dirtier, more cluttered, and much more awesome! They do have quite a few higher priced items on the floor but it's the sort of thing you would actually want. It's tasteful, vintage, fantastic stuff...not junk. But make no mistake there are some nice affordable things here too. If you like this type of store, DO NOT MISS THIS ONE! This is a pretty large antique/consignment store. It's filled with probably 80 or 90 booths of just about every kind of trinket you can imagine. A lot of the furniture is great for restoration since its so unique. You could literally spend half a day here just looking through everything. The prices vary since they're set by the booth owners, but overall you'd be hard pressed not to find several really good deals. There's also a lot of history here with all of the throw back pieces.
