When home that evening I scratched the price tag off the neck of the pipe and once the tag was off, the end of the pipe just fell off. It was as if it was cracked already and the tag was just enough to hold things together. I stopped by today to explain what happened and exchange the pipe, It cost $25 and obviously had not been used. The staff there was helpful and called their boss to find out the policy on exchanges and was informed that they do not accept returns or exchanges on any glass items. I was floored, so the policy at Area 51 is if you buy any glass item without giving it a professional inspection before you leave, " Oh well customer, don't come back if you notice a chip on it or it falls apart on you! ". That's bad business, especially in a small community, word tends to travel fast. BP gas station at Red Lane and Anderson Hwy sells the same pipes and stuff for half the price with no hassles. Being a retired fireman, a military veteran and a small business owner I'm used to excellent customer service and things being done fairly and professionally. Selling customers products that are inferior and broken and then to say "To Bad" when they return an item says a lot about the integrity of a company and the policies put in place.

NOTE: I worked with Moe Satari at CGM and purchased my countertops via Cabinets to Go…read more Moe was patient and effective resolving issues created after the wrong color tile was installed for the shower floor and the wrong kitchen sink was delivered to the job site (not CGM errors). Getting the sink originally specified would have delayed our project 6-8 weeks. The incorrect tile color was still great, but required a change to the countertop stone selection. Moe walked me through the CGM slab yard and helped find a countertop slab which worked with the tile in the kitchen and bath and was also an option available for Cabinets to Go clients. I love it even more than my original choice! Moe also worked with the fabrication team and CGM management to find a solution which allowed us to use the sink we had on hand vs. having to re-order. This saved time and money. When white caulk was used in the bath vs. the clear used in the kitchen, the look wasn't what I wanted given the charcoal gray stone chosen. With CGM, I experienced zero pushback and no excuses getting that error corrected promptly and properly. Too bad this approach isn't more typical of those in the construction trades! How a business addresses problems says so much about their integrity and customer service. I'd definitely use CGM for future countertop installations. It was a good experience all around.

Think Miss Havisham from Great Expectations... so keep your expectations low. There's years and years of thick dust accumulated on furniture, rugs, lamps, dish ware... on every inch of this place. It was hot in there too... with the oppressive heat and the dust, my throat started to get dry and itchy. It's pretty cluttered, although some of the displays are nice, so you may spot a deal or two! You'll even find dead spiders in many of the glasses, bowls and vases, score! Lol! Jk. A 96 year old man runs this shop and he's quite an antique himself. He's a little out of touch with how much these antiques are worth... but he will haggle with you a bit. We actually had to help him tally up our total because he's somewhat scattered. He's a pleasant old gent though. We found some cool depression glass, however, several pieces were chipped so look carefully. There were many nice China patterns available, but most of his prices were too high. One of the plates my friend bought broke into several pieces on the trip home, so buyer beware. Outside was a hot mess... rickety garden chairs and tattered pottery strewn hither and thither, and junk piled up on shelves. All in all, this old curiosity shop may be worth a peek if you can stand the dust, but it's not a spot I'd frequent.
