This is truly the worst experience we've had with any contractor. Needless to say, there's still a leak and they have yet to HONOR the 10 year warranty! They have NO SHOWED on 4 separate occasions, over a period of 3 weeks. They do not answer the phone or they tell you they're on their way and then never show up. Leaving you sitting around waiting for hours / days / weeks. I feel that I have been more than patient but have still been unable to get the job completed. I have taken multiple days off work and rearranged my schedule to make the days they rescheduled work and then nobody shows up. My house has been torn apart for weeks due to the ongoing scheduling issues. They have left me no choice than to post reviews of this experience and file a complaint. Additionally, within minutes of me and my partner leaving a Google Review they tried to report the review stating that we were not even clients, even though we have screenshots of everything, including all calls, text conversations, and the Zelle payments amounting to $850. Additionally, we just found out that their license is VOID and they are unlicensed - claiming License # 17-P-20764-X and CC # 23-DL-22957-X - 7/22 Wednesday - spoke to office and scheduled the job. - My job was originally scheduled for 9:30am Friday 7/31 - Saturday 8/1. - 7/31 Friday - Nobody showed up. I called and texted all day Friday. Kept being told someone would be here within 1-2 hours. Nobody ever came. - My job was then rescheduled for 9:30am Friday 8/7 - Saturday 8/8. - 8/7 Friday - Trey showed up. - 8/8 Saturday - Nobody showed up. Again, I called and texted all day with little to no responses. Saturday night at 7:30pm Wayne showed up and said it would take him at least 5 hours to complete - that would've been 1am. He left and said someone would come back Monday. - My job was then rescheduled for 9:30am Monday 8/10. - 8/10 Monday - Trey showed up late around 11am. He stayed and worked through the day, however, did not get the ceiling to a smooth finish and decided to paint it anyway. I currently have 3 cracked/broken tiles that need a simple warranty replacement. I have called, emailed, and sent multiple messages over the last week requesting a service date. I even let them know I already have the exact matching replacement factory tiles on-site so there is zero material cost to them. I was verbally promised they would come out this week, but they are completely ghosting my follow-up attempts. Other local roofers have explicitly warned me that if they fix it, it will void my Shield Proof warranty. I am stuck with a broken roof because this company refuses to honor their contract. I had an excellent experience with both Luis and the entire Canopy team. Luis took the time to meet with me in person and make sure I saw all of the tile colors and samples before making my decision. He was communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, the end result was perfect, and the price was very reasonable. Recently, I had a leak coming from an area under a flat roof that Canopy had not installed. I contacted the roofer who had done that portion of the roof to help diagnose and fix the issue, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience (which I reviewed separately). I immediately called Luis to see if he could offer any advice or point me in the right direction. Luis answered the phone right away and, almost THREE years later, remembered me and addressed me by name. Even though this wasn't a part of the roof Canopy had installed--and they don't even do TPO flat roofs--Luis immediately offered to come to my house and help me figure out what was going on. He spent over an hour with me, listening carefully to what had happened, getting up on the roof to investigate, and helping me systematically test different areas with a hose to try to identify the source of the leak. After we thoroughly investigated the issue, he even offered to help me get a quote for the repair through a partner contractor who specializes in flat roofs. I am incredibly grateful not only for the quality of Canopy's work, but for the exceptional and genuinely personal customer service.
