As luck would have it, an appointment was available to get my son in within a few days. The entire staff was professional and friendly-and made sure to explain everything they were doing while treating us like we were VIPs. I bet they treat everyone like that, but we sure felt special. Dr. Kwant was just as fabulous as I expected-he was thorough in his exam and then explanation of the procedure. He even gave us his cell phone number in case we had any issues after hours. It was unsettling to see this. It was like watching an accident you can't keep from looking at while driving by. The lady getting work done kept looking at me, and I her. How weird is that! No privacy. This is my first time here after many false starts. The first scheduled appointment was on an early Saturday morning. I answered the many text messages that wanted me to confirm my appointment, which I did. Along with a recorded telephone message saying...are you coming to your appointment. Press 1 to confirm. Which I did. When I arrived for my Saturday appointment, the doors were locked. After waiting about a half an hour I left. No communication what so ever. I was pissed. Why then so many text/phone messages asking me to confirm?! I only reluctantly rescheduled, because the location is close to me, and my daughter really likes Dr. Loosli. I liked Dr. Loosli I guess. He's a really nice older gentleman. I can't really comment on his dental work, because I didn't have any cavities, and therefore all he did was look at my x-rays. Before I met with Dr Loosli, I had x-rays and a cleaning by his dental hygienist. Well a half assed cleaning if you want to define it as a cleaning. The dental hygienist was borderline rude, and very condescending. She said she was going to use a water pick tool instead of the normal "scraper" tool that is used to scrape the plaque off your teeth. I did not like this water pick. It happened so fast I don't think it took any thing off my teeth, if I had anything on them. I got concerned when I started smelling something burning......it smelled like burnt hair. I wonder if it was because she was in such a rush to leave for the day that she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, and burned some of my gums. Then she said "I'm only going to polish the front of your teeth." I thought to myself WTH. Why wouldn't you polish all of my teeth? and that was that. When she was done with the cleaning I said "That was the fastest, less evasive cleaning I've ever had in my entire life. Which is every six months for years and years. She just ignored me. When Dr Loosli came in the room he talked quite a long while before he got down to the business of my teeth. I told him about how fast my "cleaning" was, he didn't know what to think about that. He looked at my x-rays and my chart, and commented that the dental hygienist didn't leave any comments on my chart. I asked him if that was normal, and he said "Maybe because you don't have any cavities that's why she didn't write anything on your chart. He talked some more and I left. The whole thing was weird.

I love their little play area in the waiting room and so does my son. They always explain what they are doing which helps ease nerves. They have even had to pull a couple teeth due to shark teeth and one since it was super loose they just yoinked it out :) My son loves getting little toys from the staff and thinks them brushing his teeth is just neat. I prefer going with my kids in mornings right at 8am as it isn't packed and not worry about waiting & running behind other appointments. However do anticipate rush hour traffic. It is much better to head north to the office on Redwood Rd during rush hours so you can easily turn right into the office park.

When I asked what it was what they gave to my child the hygienist acted like it wasn't a big deal, then the doctor treated me horribly, acting like I was some crazed lunatic for asking for my child not to receive it, instead of acknowledging what they had done. They did offer to not have to pay for the fluoride, as if that was the issue. I do not recommend and would NEVER go back due to the lack of accountability and terrible treatment by the doctor.

Dr. Lloyd checked all the boxes, so I made my appointment for the very next day, which was so great and fortunate. The receptionist was very friendly. A lovely woman named Holly took my mouth x-rays and cleaned my teeth, and I must say, it was the most thorough cleaning I've ever had in my life! Part of that might be cuz it's been so long since my last cleaning, but still. My mouth feels incredibly fresh and clean now, it's so great. Holly was so sweet, and she did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable throughout. Then Dr. Lloyd came in to look inmy mouth and evaluate my x-rays. He was so warm and friendly and I felt like I had been a customer for years. I was genuinely and pleasantly shocked to hear that I had no cavities or issues at all. Great news! At my previous dentist, I really felt like they would take advantage of me by going out of their way to find ways to make me come back as much as possible to make as much money as they could off of me. For example, they literally wanted me to remove my non-problematic wisdom teeth one at a time, in 4 different sessions, which is totally unnecessary. In hindsight, that experience turned me off from wanting to rush back to dentistry. In any case, this was the polar opposite experience...no milking of the customer and I have total trust in this office. I'm now looking forward to sticking to an every 6-month cleaning schedule with Dr. Lloyd, as it is no longer something to dread. It's a shame I'm only his second reviewer on Yelp...he deserves many more 5-star reviews like the ones he has on the Cigna provider site.
