He tried to charge me $480 for a battery for my jeep wrangler which didn't include installation. When i refused, he tried to charge me $70, half an hour of diagnostics, for checking 2 of my fluids (oil & transmission fluid) without performing the diagnostic on my transmission, i was there to get a transmission diagnostics. In addition, got mad and hung up in my face because i chose to take it elsewhere. Horrible experience, I highly DO NOT recommend. The new shop I took it to informed me that my battery that was already in the jeep was under warranty and I can switch it out if I want or he can get me a better battery (same battery that Risters tried to charge me $480 for), for $250.

When we searched tire repair in the area we were four miles away from Aljets and decided to stop and see if they could help us. The staff was exceedingly friendly, informative, and quick. They immediately took our truck back and within 45 minutes had found a very small hole in the tire, patched it, and had us back on the road. On top of that they did not overcharge us or charge a fee for getting us in so quickly. We couldn't be more grateful knowing we're safe to continue our drive, and still going to get to our destination in time for our appointments. Luckily, Brett and Scott from Hamel Sales happened to be there towing another car and offered to help. They quickly determined that it was my starter that would need to be replaced. I was lucky in that my family was able to pick me up and I could stay in STL for the night. Hamel Sales called me early the next day to inform me of what they needed to do, cost, and timing. They were very communicative and nice. No one loves to spend $$$ on getting their car repaired but it eased the blow to do it here. They were really kind and helpful. Long story short and 3 visits and 3 weeks later. They said you can't rotate large tires! What!? They're only 33" tires. They gave it back with carriage bolts loose then say they never touched suspension but forgot to do the alignment yet charged me 2 hours! And this: 179 miles added to my odometer which I reset after thinking it was odd I had to fill up the truck b4 brining it back into them the last time. Took it to another shop, alignment was still off, tires got rotated, and they thought that shop was mentally slow for putting a god awful amount of weights on the tires when balancing. Place is ran by thieves, imbeciles, and jerks.

Top notch service. Above and beyond. Friendly service…read more Getting rear-ended is never how I wanted to start my day. However, the service and care I received from Freer was beyond expectations. I went to 3 other local shops for a quote and no one took care of me the way Freer did. Called the insurance of the person who hit me to get me answers, helped adjust my bumper before I left their lot to make it a bit better for me to drive (without me even asking, might I add). They used Carwise which texted me updates on timeline and estimates. Called me and coordinated with insurance/rental car like no other. My repair ended up taking about a week longer than expected. More damage was found but it was clearly communicated to me that it was possible, and they gave me an update each step. They even had an after hours pick up which worked perfect for my schedule. Left me a card and a beautiful rose (such as kind touch). My car was clean and shiny on the outside (sad it won't last long due to all the snow and salt) with the inside vacuumed and smelling great! Truly can't recommend Freer enough. Kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. I will trust Freer with all auto body repairs going forward!

I went back to them and was charged another $700 to get the engine light to go off, and less than a month later the light was back on. I had to spend another $200 to get the car registered because the issue wasn't resolved. If you are a woman on your own, DO NOT GO TO THEM!
