Dr. Honrubia and his staff are the best. I've been his patient since 2016, and my quality of life has improved tremendously. I suffered with daily headaches, migraines, ear pressure, and chronic allergies. What I appreciated the most was that Dr. Honrubia listened, cared, and validated my complaints while other doctors just prescribed an allergy pill and recommended Tylenol. I used to take Tylenol like if it were candy, now I use it occasionally and I get very few to non of the headaches and migraines. I had another ENT perform surgery in 2012, on my sinuses located on my right side and it was the worst mistake I made, but then again what did I know I put my faith in this doctor which created tons of health problems. Had an appointment for sinus issues with Dr. Honrubia on Sept 9, 2025 at 9 o'clock. We got there at 8:30am. We filled out paperwork and before 9am they called us to the room. In minimum time, my husband got vitals done and a room. Got a CAT scan by 9:11am. They were so prompt and so friendly. The doctor read the CAT scan was on point about everything. He is the best ever! We highly recommend him for everybody that has problems with ENT matters. We were out by 9:40am. A top notch operation for sure! I had a great experience. Procedure went really well, outcomes were fabulous. I stopped snoring, and sleep through the night. Massive infection gone, and so is constant infections. Staff well organized, helpful, and I love the reminders. The staff for the procedure was organized and thoughtful. Some discomfort but that goes with what was actually being done. I was very leery of the whole thing, the Doctor met with me before and let me know that it would be alright to cancel. Would I do it again, I would. I suffered with ear congestion and pain for 7 months. My primary doctor just kept giving me antibiotics and antihistamines. I went on line and found the South Texas Sinus Institute. Once I got my first appointment I became excited that I was going to be able to get some relief. I had my balloon sinus treatment on 3/3/23. One day later I can hear. I have no pain. Balloon Sinuplasty, Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction Dr. Hansler is very professional and knowledgeable. He is very attentive, answers all your questions and explains what your issue is and what he is going to do to correct your problem. I didn't feel anything throughout the time of my surgery. Allergy season hits me hard every year. Dr. Hensler was able to see me right away in the day I was available. He was very professional and explained everything in great detail. Offered a quick solution to alleviate my symptoms and then suggested a long term one for ward off future sinus infections due to severe allergies in the future. My experience was great. I came here because I was having trouble breathing in my sleep and was getting yearly sinus infections. Turned out I had a deviated septum. Dr. Honrubia conducted the sinus procedure quickly and successfully. I was explained what to expect regarding recovery. My follow ups were first with Dr. Honrubia then with Mr. Hensler. These folks are great. The wait wasn't long and the doctors are down to earth, explaining everything they see and all aspects of any symptoms one is having. I myself had a sinoplasty and never have regretted doing so. It was a somewhat unnerving outpatient surgery to consider but the reassurances and the professionalism at the time of the appointment were revelatory. I'm a Covid 19 long hauler. Was hospitalized 12/2020 for 3 weeks. My lungs were very infected & since then my sinus problems got worse. Have had synosplasty twice & because of Covid its all plugged up & infected.
