Traveling through Wenatchee for work and needed something to eat. My coworker told me of a market place that had an assortment of restaurants. So off we went, after touring the market, we decided on South. As we were still on the clock we could not test the adult beverage offerings. I had the Tacos Al carbon and coworker had the Revolution burrito. Leaving the rain in western Washington, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The service was good and the food arrived in what seemed to just be a few minutes. The chicken in my tocos was nicely seasoned and the habanero crust on the tortas had a nice zing. The cool avocado made it seem very creamy. My coworker reported that spicy shrimp burrito was also very nice and had the right amount of heat. Next time I pass through the area, South will be on my list of potential stops. Maybe next time I'll be able to try a margarita. read more

Four of us stopped in for an early dinner and had a great experience. Service was spot on including recommendations related to my burrito. Appreciated the suggestion to try it "half and half" with both sauces. Wish it was warmer so we could have eaten on the patio. Perhaps next time. I really should have only eaten half the burrito. It was huge. That said, "I ate the whole thing" as the old commercial goes. Along with the shishito peppers and shrimp appetizer, all the chips and salsa, we were all stuffed. Good food! I got the burrito in a bowl. Basically everything except the tortilla. It was good maybe a bit too much cilantro- not my favorite, but will eat it if there is not too much. Comes with tortilla chips and guacamole. Chips had some kind of bbq flavoring powder which made it interesting. Husband got the black bean enchiladas. He really liked his meal. We got there a little later for lunch. Good timing because it wasn't crowded. Will likely return. read more

My husband and I went to South over the weekend and it was an awesome experience! The food came out super quickly, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious! I had the marinated chicken tacos and they were so juicy! My husband had the carnitas tacos and really enjoyed them, too! We sat out in the patio with heaters and bistro lights and it was fun and romantic. My only complaint is that chips and salsa cost extra, except the small portion you get with your meal. And it is extra to sub rice and beans. Other than that, it was delicious! read more

Was recommended this spot specifically for the margaritas. I didn't end up getting one but I've heard great reviews! I ordered Baja style fish tacos with chips and black beans. Being from Southern CA, I was a bit skeptical but still wanted to try them. They ended up tasting great! Would absolutely get them again. Perfect amount of crisp and went well with the avocado sauce. I will say though, the size of the fish was a bit disappointing. As you can see in my picture, the taco was primarily toppings. Yes the quality of the food is great, but for that portion size I don't think it is worth $18.95. read more

Don't come here expecting authentic Mexican food, there are definitely many other better places in the area worth going to for that. That being said there are some decent food options here but like others have mentioned the prices are a bit steep. The flour chips and guac are my favorite thing here, they also have good cocktails. This time I tried the sweet potato tacos and I thought they were good, nicely seasoned, and reasonably priced. If you want a restaurant that has nice ambiance in a cool location then I would recommend coming here. Always had good service as well. read more

Great little restaurant right next to the hotel I was staying at. Was able to sit outside with the family and watch birds eat scraps of chips on the floor. They offer two different style of chips. One from corn, your typical tortilla chip and the other out of flour. Both were seasoned perfectly and the guacamole was very good and was impressed on how much I got. Not like your typical scoop of guacamole you get elsewhere. Highly recommend this place and will be returning when I'm back in Wenatchee. read more

This spot has the wonderul vibes of Pybus plus amazing food and drinks. Their margaritas are on point, they make their own corn or flour tortilla chips (the flour ones are melt-in-your-mouth delicious), and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Nick took our orders, and his recommendations were so perfect. Their vegan options were solid - I had tacos. Friends ordered black bean enchiladas and a few other items. Everything was delicious. You do have to pay for chips and dip, but the sauces that came with them were amazing. My fav was the roasted poblano sauce. Their tequila selection is a good enough reason on its own to come back. So this is my 2nd time dining here and the food is fine. Chips and guacamole were my favorite. We ordered steak tacos and carnitas. I think the steak was tiny and very dry and bit on too well done side so it was not my favorite. The carnitas was pretty good and good portion on the plate. During a cross Washington road trip I chose to get food at South in Pybus Public Market and wish I had taken more photos! I got the street corn appetizers that is pictured which was amazing, as well as the guacarrito and both the mango and prickly pear margaritas. The food and drinks not only tasted wonderful but I got everything so quickly and as a recent convert to vegetarianism I love that they offer multiple meatless options and even some vegan choices! One and DONE!!! One star says it all. For sixty bucks I would have expected to walked out of the place with either a full stomach or one heck of a buzz. I got neither. I might suggest looking at the other one star reviews and take the hints. You'd think in a town with high Latino population, you could do better. As a parting shot, I'm not sure what you are washing your tables down with, but I'm suspecting it might be Elmer's Glue. They were light on booze and heavy on ice. the food was poorly spiced and barely warm. And most distressing of all, the server would not leave us alone. I had the Baja style fish tacos, which looked crunchy but were ever so soft when biting into one. My sides were rice and beans. My family member had the chicken poblano enchiladas. Service was prompt and decent all the way up until I was ready to pay, and then it seemed like our server was just too busy for us. But great food! I haven't done a one star review in years. Service: seated at a tiny rickety metal table outside. There was dried food stuck to it. Entrees were rushed out 5 minutes after the chips. No water refill offered or check back on us until we were done eating. Default tip is 25%, other options are 20 and 18%. Food: 9 dollar chips, guac and 2 salsas. Guacamole had no flavor or texture. No lime, no salt, no heat. Salsas were about a tablespoon of each. Chicken tacos were bland and flavorless, (what green sauce? None evident.) and came with some slaw (incl huge chunk of cabbage core) and strangely, more chips. Carnitas plate was bland, stringy, and there was no lime or anything else to liven it up. I hope I didn't forget anything. We left there 20 minutes ago, and I'm already trying to forget about the entire experience. We have been here several times and thr service keeps getting worse. After being seared we waited about 20 min for someone to come when they did he asked if I wanted a refill. Refill? Nobody has acknowledged our presence. The food is good but pricy. Appetizers are limited and way over priced. The only one we liked was the pork skewers which they have taken off the menu. I do however, find it odd that they do not serve chips and salsa. You can buy some but really how much of a loss does a restaurant take for food that is already over priced. Our last visit we waited and finally received service it was a long time. Once we got the food it was cold and was not served with any utensils. We got up and got our own. All said certain menu items are good but service definitely does not match the price. Kind of like eating at a mall restaurant. read more

We came here with friends we were visiting, who love this place! I see why - we had really good Latin food, and great Basil Daisy drinks - basil-infused, with tequila and chile rim. Baby Green beans to start, nicely charred, with lime. Then I had Steak Tacos, which I somehow knew to order, because I usually don't, and they were delicious, especially with salsa from the salsa bar. Came with really good beans, and rice I didn't eat because I was too full. Hubby had Relleno, poblano stuffed with shrimp, rice and cheese, and there was a kick to the poblano!
