This is a very hard review to write. It's easier to stick your head in the sand and ignore all that is going on around you. But once you've read the email (that allegedly started the downfall of this church) that the current leadership deliberately changed, to protect themselves and keep the money flowing.. you have to speak up. There is more going on behind the pulpit than you could ever imagine. What once was filled with the Holy Spirit is filled with deception to the congregation. Keep your eyes and heart open to what might truly be going on. Ask is this truly Christlike or is it a wolf in sheep's clothing. Is our current culture dictating the message or is the message changing the current culture. Time will truly tell. Continued prayers for humility and reconciliation which are powerful tools that God has graced all of us with. read more

Feels strange reviewing a church building but here is the deal on Grace Chapel Leiper's Fork: A non denominational affiliate of Calvary Chapel, the motto here is "equipping people to be passionate servants of Jesus Christ". Pastor Steve Berger and his wife Sarah live this out through personal and public example and it is a joy to be a part of this fellowship. Steve is a gifted speaker and teacher who's goal is to make Jesus known. The worship services are led by skilled, Spirit filled musicians who are focused on leading people to The Lord, not drawing attention to their various gifts. Jonathan Allen is a man who is "after the Lord's own heart", leading worship by being a worshiper. There are a myriad of ministries available from parking lot to greeter to prayer; something for everyone. There is a place for you to serve here. This is a gorgeous church!!!! I was visiting my friend in Spring Hill and she's been going to this church for years! The pastor and the band are absolutely amazing!!! I loved every second of it. The church has so much to offer. I didn't have time for my friend to give me the grand tour but she showed me the children's area of the church and the HUGE cafeteria church goers have breakfast before the service!!! From the second we arrived on the scene starting with the parking attendants and the greeters we felt totally welcomed.....the folks that helped us sign in our kids handed us free breakfast tickets since it was our first time. SWEET!! The kids LOVED their time there as well....the kids ministry seems to run flawlessly....and the kids learned about Jesus. Nice job, Church! When we entered the sanctuary late worship was already in full swing and WOW!! Calvin Nowell was on stage (a guy we met in Dallas years ago) and a full choir.(found out that lineup isn't every Sunday but we didn't care. We experienced the anointing of God in that place not only that Sunday but every single one we've been to since. We both knew it was our home. Been attending for a little while now and I can see NO reason to shop around for another church as long as we're in Nashville. Oh and the drive is breathtaking!! If you're in the market for a new church please try Grace Chapel! Did I mention their VBS program?. They went ALL out.....Not to mention the 4th of July celebration....I mean these folks really care about people and the details. We're new in this area and had been looking for a good church and good fellowship. A friend recommended Grace Chapel so we tried it out and liked it. We've been attending on Sundays for the past 5 months. There have been a couple of things said that raised red flags but we thought/hoped the "problems" had been resolved and we wouldn't hear of them (while at Sunday service) again. Let me just say right now... I look forward to Sundays at church. I go to feed my soul, to escape the stress, politics and drama of life outside of my church. I thirst for good worship and a message to carry me into my week. Today we experienced a Sunday service that never in my life did I think I would see in any church. I understand that pastors are people too... That they make mistakes but WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?! My husband and I got up and walked out as many others did the same. I feel disrespected and angry. What a sad mess!! Unfortunately we're now looking for a new church. read more

I have been to many churches, many denominations within the Christian religious perspective - in this State, around this country and in other countries. I have experienced many great churches and people. And a number of less-thans. I don't put people or organizations on pedestals - we are all a bunch of Cracked Pots in my view - just depends on how big the cracks and if their getting bigger or smaller. I am also no Theologian. I like to think of myself as spiritually minded - interested in not just this world and dimension - but others and the "afterlife". _________ BUT, and this is my opinion (duh) - I have been very, very impressed with the sincerity, spirituality and reality of this entire group. The leaders are real and approachable. They are not "Religious". If you have never seen a "real" Christian church this would be a good place to see it. No stars here. But if you believe or would consider that the Old & New Testaments have impressive credentials as a religious book with insights. Then come here to hear. In 12 step programs they say - "Come six times, then decide if it's for you" - I would say the same. ____________ You will observe (and hopefully participate) in: - amazing worship (no kidding - if you are seeking you will make contact). - these books (Old & New Testament) taught with a real world application and remarkably spiritual insight). - Also - a great experience for you children - amazingly creative and well staffed programs - by people who love this stuff. I went to Grace Chapel for the first time on Sunday 6/4/2016, the music was awesome and touched my heart in so many ways. They start their services with about a 40 member prayer team and if you want someone to pray with they are their, I graciously excepted that offer. I went to another Baptist church Clearview twice and went to the alter to pray and not a soul came to pray with me or for me, needless to say I was disheartened. Their guest speaker told stories of some of his missions in prisons and reminded us that sin is sin, no matter how little or big. I recommitted my life to Christ again that morning, wishing my husband hadn't had to work but it felt good to reassure myself that I am going to Heaven no matter what I did and I am God's child. Want to feel the Holy Spirit go there, want to be loved and excepted, go there, want a place to call home GO THERE! Thank you Grace Chapel, you are what I have been searching for in Franklin!
