Never expecting to hear back before at least the following Tuesday, I was astonished when my phone rang on Saturday and it was Mr. Martinez. I'm sure he could tell from the tone in the voicemail I left him, that I was concerned. So that when he returned the call, and I answered the phone, Mr Martinez said he was sorry to call on Saturday, but with the long weekend, he didn't want me to wait until next week. That was certainly the first step in building my trust. After I described my concerns with a crack in the slab in my garage, I was then able to Facetime him images of the area of concern. Once he was able to see for himself, he was able to render some initial opinions, as well as, make some appropriate recommendations. The most important recommendation for me, was how to create a simple system of monitoring the crack and then allowing me to photo and text him pictures of the system after I had it in place. He left off by suggesting I monitor and follow-up with him down the road,based on any progression in the crack. I cannot express how impressed I was by his willingness to consult to me on Saturday in such a high tech way. I look forward to working with him and Martinez & Associates in the future, in the event the simple solution he provided today, requires more in depth analysis and the implementation of a more sophisticated solution. I called Mr. Martinez initially because of his credentials, I will work with him further because of the scientific approach he takes to his business and the concern he shows for his clients.

I was going to let this go because this is a small business but the lack of professional has me so upset. I should not have to baby sit contractors (I hired a company fir a simple slab). I wanted to move on and cut my losses as they did try but didn't have insurance or the funds to properly repair this but now I'm so upset about I had to fight for 8 days to get a slab that looks like a DIY and on top of it I'm being blamed? Just wow. Original: DO NOT HIRE CARL MILLER or STRUCTURE PROs!!!! Look at my terrible slab. I paid him and now will be stuck dragging this to court because he's unresponsive. We're very satisfied with their services and products we have signed with them and on the schedule for a full Crawl Space Encapsulation and installation of a Dehumidifier System as well as Crawl Space Insulation and Sump Pump installation for purposes of Hurricane and Storm water as our home is beachfront. We weren't aware we needed one and there was a sign posted that said walk ins welcome. He left us to wander the store on our own and didn't come over to ask if we had questions or pay us any attention at all really. We asked to take home a couple of samples. He gave us a business card. After a few days, I contacted him to set up a measurement appointment. He came out and did the measurements and said he'd get back to me the next day with a quote. I waited, but didn't receive the email he'd said he would send. A day or so later, I missed a call from him while working. I returned his call that afternoon, but got no response. I tried twice the next day with no results. I decided to wait until today while I wasn't working to try once more. I left voicemails every time I called. I left one this morning and got no response by their closing time today. I'm through trying to give them any business. There are too many other places to go where I would hope we'd be treated in a more considerate manner.

The path to completion was a long and at points a frustrating one. The office scheduling, updates on when installer would arrive seemed a challenge. Multiple days and half days were wasted, when we expected work to be done. They have to remember our time is valuable!! I suspect short staff and juggling customers was done due to too much work. The 2-3 week estimate was actually a 6 week project. There were contract terms that were confusing in parts. It had us buy wall & ceiling paint for touch up, but they wanted more $ for this. We ended up hiring a painter unexpectedly. They didn't want to move the fan, until I pointed it out in the contract. I am writing this so people know some of the pitfalls, as we maybe have 1-2 big projects, vs. companies doing it everyday. 5 Stars for workmanship, 2-3 stars for office scheduling and accuracy.
