My spouse and I visited Shoreline Flooring on a Saturday morning, the only time I have due to work. The salesperson, Brandon B., asked if we had an appointment. We weren't aware we needed one and there was a sign posted that said walk ins welcome. He left us to wander the store on our own and didn't come over to ask if we had questions or pay us any attention at all really. We asked to take home a couple of samples. He gave us a business card. After a few days, I contacted him to set up a measurement appointment. He came out and did the measurements and said he'd get back to me the next day with a quote. I waited, but didn't receive the email he'd said he would send. A day or so later, I missed a call from him while working. I returned his call that afternoon, but got no response. I tried twice the next day with no results. I decided to wait until today while I wasn't working to try once more. I left voicemails every time I called. I left one this morning and got no response by their closing time today. I'm through trying to give them any business. There are too many other places to go where I would hope we'd be treated in a more considerate manner. read more

We had our hardwood floors replaced. The workers were awesome! Completed a large job in 2 days! They took up the old hardwood...leveled the uneven floor and replaced with brand new laminate flooring. It's beautiful and I am thrilled! They even moved the furniture for us! (Please keep in mind we still had to prepare by removing all the small personal belongings) but they moved the heavy stuff! The managers even came out to make sure the correct flooring had been delivered and supervised the guys getting started! They completed a large living room, dining room & large Master bedroom in two days! Wow! Planning to do the guest rooms down the road and you can bet I'm calling these guys! read more

Very disappointed in results of faulty work which included over glueing, discoloration, holes in trim, marks or cuts in floors. It takes time for defects to surface, especially the clumps of glue on baseboards that discolor with time. Called for service in October, wasn't received till December, no reply on results till mid January. "Nothing we can do," it's past warranty. So the great customer service offered when spending well over $27,000 ends cause it's time sensitive. Poor workmanship should never be excused. read more

The flooring I picked out is beautiful. The price was about the same as you could find anywhere. After I paid for the flooring and installation, I found another installer that would have saved me over $900, but Shoreline refused to refund the installation. Even though, nothing had been started, and no product had left the store. I paid a lot for the quarter round, and they were installed, but not painted. The installers said they don't paint. I should have been told they wouldn't be painted. I could have picked them up early and painted them myself. Overall, the installers did an amazing job, and the transformation is incredible. Just shop around for installation pricing, and ask if the quarter rounds will be painted or installed plain. read more

We wanted to change out the builder grade carpet and match our hardwood floors. Shoreline was terrific for sales, installation and price. They were fast and the install team was so very careful moving my beds and were really hard working and polite. I'd highly recommend them for your flooring needs. Overall great experience- Brandon was great! After being stuffed by a large flooring company in Garden City, I checked out Shoreline. From the minute we entered the door, Brandon was responsive in helping us find a similar floor to what we wanted. To insure availability of the floor, he called the distributor while we were there and put a 24 hour hold on the amount we needed since we were reflooring over 2,700 sf. He promptly showed up the next day to measure the house and placed the order upon our approval. The flooring arrived the following week and was scheduled for install the following week as planned. The work crew was terrific and friendly with up to seven workers on some days. Needless to say, due to our furniture, the planned 2 day install took a full 3 days. I would highly recommend Brandon and Shoreline- be careful of those companies with a fancy showroom who make every promise for what was over a $20k job but do not deliver. Shoreline came through!!!! read more

We purchased an area rug and only a few weeks later saw the same rug somewhere else much cheaper. When I called, Patty went above and beyond to investigate the situation only to discover that this large retailer bought the rug in bulk which is why it was they were able to sell it cheaper. She not only put their supplier on notice but sent me the difference. I'll al ways continue shop local whenever possible! The customer service was second to none. read more

We have purchased carpet from this store multiple times over the 20 year span that we have lived here, even the other store that had the other store on the other side of the bypass. My wife and I have always been treated like family , and they have always stood behind their work. They even did our neighbors house who were friends of ours and did a excellent and she was very pleased . Don't forget the awesome and knowledgeable sales staff who has to deal with all the new ideas they do a tremendous job and a few of them been there for a long time . We purchased flooring for our lanai which I love. My complaint is the service - they drop off all the materials then the next day it's installed. When he finished he was getting ready to leave but the garbage was laying in my backyard. He said it's picked up by someone else. The next day it's still there so I had to call to find out when it'll be picked up. I never received a follow up call asking if we liked the floor or if there were any problems. They had to come back to replace 3 tiles and again, no follow up as to whether we were satisfied. They never cleaned the floor which we asked why it wasn't done and was told they would do it. Very disappointed in the service and I would not recommend them or use them again. read more

The sign on the door and on the street says: Shoreline Flooring, but online the website indicates Stevens Flooring. Either way the people in this store are wonderful to deal with. Friendly, helpful, and patient. I have used this flooring company twice and they do a wonderful job. The first time was to replace carpeting in two bedrooms. They did a great job on installation considering both rooms were full of furniture. The second time was to replace the laminate flooring. They let me know that the flooring that was down originally had been put down wrong and that was probably the reason that it had to be replaced so quickly. Again, they did a great job at putting everything down and cleaning up. I have just hired them again to replace the outdoor carpeting on the screened in patio. They were also helpful in providing some references for a company to help me with cabinets. Good local company with great staff. Definitely would use again and recommend for work. read more

I just spent 30 minutes in this store, looking at tile. There were three associates at the desk. Not one person spoke to me. I am spending over a $100,000 on a bathroom remodel and not one person asked if I needed help. I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

We purchased flooring from this store recently and was very pleased with the professional service in the store, during the installation, and post installation. We did have issues with the quarter round molding not matching our wainscotting. We were very unhappy initially, and called the store and they immediately came out to see it, and fix it. They kept in touch with us the whole time as they had to find a wood specialist to come out and repair. Miss Barbara was fantastic and so very helpful. Langdon, one of the owners came to our place a couple times to offer suggestions and find the right guy to fix our issue. We couldn't have asked for better service. In the past, this was a reliable company. As October 2018, they are unreliable. I ordered a carpet on Saturday, Oct 6. Installation was promised for the following Monday. It was installed 10 days late. The installation was not completed, as the base around the bottom of the wall was not put in. I called them 3 times, and my calls were not returned. I managed to finally talk to my rep (Jason Carrol) on Wednesday Oct 24. He said the base was being prepared as we talked. As of Wednesday Oct 31, it has still not been done. I was very disappointed with my dealings with Shoreline Flooring. I had them do a flooring on one of my properties last year. They did use good quality material, however they used a white grout that turned dirty in a year. (In another words the grout was not sealed, nor should they have used white grout).Of course they didn't take any responsibility for it. This year I had all the intentions having them do the tile and plank in another unit however that turned out to be a disaster. From the time the estimator arrived about 30 min late then conducting personal calls during the survey ;should have raised the red flag. Then it continued with the sales rep. It took her two weeks to get me an estimate. I left her voice mails calls emails ... nothing. Of course when I used my middle name that she did not know, all the sudden she was available to take my call. After reaffirming the changes, I waited for the quote again. It is December 27, exactly 25 days since the estimator came and still no quote. At this point I have given up on this business, (partly because I also have a profession and have to attend to that :)), informed my HOA about the bad experience and posting this message as an insight for others to consider if they plan to do business with Shoreline Flooring in Myrtle Beach,SC what they can expect. read more
