Fire cashiers that do not know how to do their jobs. Clearly continual problem not ringing items or services up correctly. Giving customers wrong information and refusing to sell product that vet advised them of. Wasting customers time and gas. Very disappointing and dissatisfied with customer service!!! read more

I love this location! The workers are kind (if a bit quirky) and very knowledgeable. They told me about the cheap vaccination nights a while back, and I was SUPER excited because my cats needed vaccines on record. The vet and other assistants told me what was going to happen beforehand and really made me feel comfortable with the process. The vet was concerned with my semi-feral cat's comfort and when she started to freak out, she cancelled the blood test (too traumatic) and refunded us immediately. We greatly appreciate it. I was sent the wrong dog food. The bag was different for the Hills food. They told me it was the same food, but it was not. I bought that same food somewhere else. I returned their food and they refunded my dog food that was $19.99 but not the $14.95 shipping they charged me for a 3.5lb bag. I will never use them, again. If they don't have something in stock, don't lie and tell me some other type is the same. Buyer beware read more

I go to this store when i have to. The store itself is not bad but a couple of the women that work here are the worst. They're rude to the point of being almost conventional. If you hate your job that much, you should find a new one. Customer service does not include passive aggressive or insulting behavior. read more

I have been shopping at Southern Agriculture for over 15 years, most often at the Sheridan location. I have had so many great experiences with friendly staff and there are tons of products for ferrets. HOWEVER, today (3/30/22) I had a very uncomfortable experience at the Harvard location. One of the staff (manager?) was publicly berating a younger employee at the front of the store, for my entire visit if not longer. I could hear it very clearly. I don't know all the details of the situation, but her treatment of him was extremely unprofessional and cruel. He was obviously distressed and simply trying to explain himself (very politely) over a shoplifting instance that had occurred in the store the other day. Regardless of what had happened earlier, I felt this was very unprofessional behavior on her part. It felt like she was just keeping him next to the checkout as a verbal punching-bag for her anger. Beyond that, she was rude to me as well (never spoke or even looked at me except for asking me to swipe my card, then wadded up the receipt and held it out wordlessly while continuing to berate him). Despite all of this, the younger employee continued to greet and say goodbye to all customers, while the employee at the register completely ignored customers. The third employee at the other register seemed very uncomfortable as well. I almost left without buying, and probably should have. Please consider who you are hiring... everyone makes mistakes, but no one likes a rude employee. **Looking further into the customer reviews for the Harvard location, it seems this person has received several complaints yet continues to act the same and is still employed. My friends, family and anyone who asks me where to get pet supplies, will not be shopping at Southern Ag any more. Treat your employees better. read more

They are so rude at this location. My daughter and myself had to get two bags of dog food, which they were large bags and a you g kid who worked there watched us and never offered to help. The employees at register are very rude and not helpful at all. read more

First off, I'm providing this review for their online customer service. Our cat has to be on a prescription diet. This place is one of the few to carry this food he likes. They didn't have the big bag in stock so I emailed them. Their staff person called me as soon as they got it. It was shipped the next day. Excellent customer service!! read more

I think most of these bad reviews are people who are way to sensitive no wait they are entitled jerks. I bet u all expect people should clean up ur garbage when u leave toilet paper on the floor bc it's their job. AAANNYYYWAY! I absolutely Looove this location!! There are quite a few veteran employees there and even though I like going to 71 for the larger selection, if I need honest advice or recommendations this is the store I go to. Avoid this place if you've had an already crappy day. I went in search of dog necessities needed for two foster dogs. I asked a blond headed chick behind the counter for directions to an item they sold last year to which she snapped back very short in a rude and demeaning manor " no. I asked a very simple question about dog food to the short, unhappy woman behind the counter who snapped back with, "I don't know what you are talking about". So I've been spending a lot of time and money here lately. Dogs are not cheap, and they need a surprising amount of stuff! I have been shopping primarily at the Sheridan store, simply because it's bigger than the one on Harvard. This is kind of a shame, because I find that the employees at the Harvard store are far more helpful and nicer than the staff at the Sheridan store. Don't get me wrong - the people at the Sheridan store are fine, they just don't seem too happy to be at work or to do their jobs. The shelves are always well stocked and there always seems to be a great selection of products. The prices are fine - because there's a selection you can be as thrifty or extravagant as you like. I will always choose Southern Ag over Petsmart or Petco, but I do kind of wish Southern Ag had some sort of frequent buyer program. read more

I have no idea why I wasted so much time making a trek to Petsmart for dog food when Southern Ag is literally 1 minute from my house. The prices are right on par with anyplace else and there is plenty to choose from. There's a good little collection of toys and leashes along with some other pet type products. I much prefer places like this to the big box stores. I think there's just something about all the fish and birds at Petco that freaks me out. It's just weird. read more

I fully support local businesses, and love to do so. But after the awful and rude customer service I received yesterday, I don't believe I would ever go back to this specific Southern Agriculture. I approached an employee to ask a question, but this employee (possibly the manager) wouldn't even look at me. When she finally did look at me without saying a word I asked her if I may ask her a question and she responded with "Sure." After my question, she loudly told one of her employees to take me where I wanted to go because she 'obviously' didn't have anyone around her when I approached her. I understand the world is very crazy right now, and so many people are struggling, but I've worked in customer service long enough to know that no employee should ever make a customer feel uncomfortable and inconvenient. And that is exactly what she did. read more

I will never ever shop at this store again. I have shopped there for years thinking the people there would be nice. They are the ugliest people I've ever dealt with. They would not recognize customer service if it hit them over the head. They act like it's an inconvenience that you are shopping there. We live near Southern Ag, & found it so convenient to get our dog food from here. Then one day, the dog food we brought home contained a couple if not a few living cockroaches & we vowed never again to buy dog food from here. We called the store to let them know, & they welcomed my husband for a refund, not even attempting to deny that the roaches came from them. What's more is that my husband got the sense that the lady who was helping him, friendly as she was, was trying to avoid the conversation & get him out of the store asap. It pains me to write this review, in part because the staff has always been pleasant & helpful, but if petsmart & Petco can offer non-roach-infested dog food, I would think Southern Agriculture can do the same. read more

I will most likely never spend money at this Southern Ag location again. Ever again. Among the three or so employees one will find at the front, perhaps only one looks like they want to be there and genuinely help a customer. Today I went in and needed some assistance with a certain food. I walked back up front, asked the person leaning at the counter if they could help me. This employee, who I think was the manager no less, didn't even look at me and points to the other employee slouching behind her, "Hey, help her would you?" or something to that effect. So I immediately feel like I'm invading their precious "personal time" or something. Then, the person who was so elegantly "chosen" to help me, well, hey, let's just say they knew as much as I did, so no help or answers there until yet another employee stocking shelves overheard our conversation and very graciously stepped in to help, for which I was quite grateful. Still, after paying and leaving, hopefully never to return, I felt really disillusioned, like these people are just not paid enough to care or whatever. I've spent probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars here and this is what happened to me today. Not pleased in the least. Just a note, there are probably at the most THREE employees at this location who give a damn at any given moment. Today was not one of those moments. read more

I am traveling through Tulsa in route to Oregon and needed dog food. I usually buy my 15 yr old dog's food at Tractor Supply and there was not one nearby. I found Southern Agriculture online and arrived there 13 minutes before closing. Being that I usually purchase "4 Health", a Tractor Supply brand, I inquired with the lady at the cash register for some help. I needed a brand similar to my usual brand and one that was for a senior dog without having any "maintaining weight" or diet formulas. My dog could actually stand to gain some weight. The lady helping me was extremely knowledgable and helpful. She knew the company that made the "4 Health" brand and showed me to the back of the store where they had stock from that supplier. She was very informed regarding ingredients and helped me make a selection about % of protein needed to promoted muscle growth while not posing a risk for my dog's kidneys as well as many other variables in making my choice. While I was checking out she also made recommendations for other foods that would be good for my dog considering my concerns. (All this while my arrival found her in the middle of counting out her register) After paying and walking out, now 1 minute before closing, I decided to run back in and ask if they had winter clothing for dogs and if I had time to buy my dog a sweater as the weather was much colder than the climate we had just come from. She encouraged me to come in and take my time to find what I needed and even suggested I take the sweater out to my car to check the length of the fit for my dog before making a purchase. I found just what I needed and was very thankful for their patience and expertise. I prefer farm/feed stores to the usual pet store retailers and this one was just what I needed on a cold January evening. read more

A few of the employees at this location are extremely unhelpful to the point of being rude. I had a problem with a product that was purchased at this location, and the employees treated me with utter disdain for lodging a complaint. I had obviously interrupted their leisure time, One particularly androgynous employee with dark hair was unable to say anything other than "oh", which he/she repeated a few times, but nothing else. Obviously, whatever was on his/her phone was far more important than dealing with a paying customer. I've spent a great deal of money at this store over the years, but I will never darken the doors of any Southern Agriculture store again after this incident. These people are lazy, completely incompetent, and have no business working in an environment that involves dealing with the public. This incident took place on Sunday 7/20/14, and I can only hope that management reads this review. My dog would be a better employee than the ones working here, but I wouldn't insult his intelligence by allowing him to work around these slouches. read more
