Have gone to this salon couple times liked the stylist Alexis. Always good service till this time. Called on Wed got scheduled for Thursday 530pm. Got a call at 2pm for questions..did I call and ask specifically for alexis?. Yes she has cut my hair before. Well she has an emergency situation and can't do 530pm. Ok schedule me for anyone else.. no can do. I can get you in on 9th ( several days later) said no what's wrong with tomorrow. No only time would be next week. Told never mind. This is not how to handle this situation. Funny it happen two other time Alexis has cut my hair. Don't need this. Don't go here unless 3 hours before appt you get a call with odd questions and reschedule for another week. More salons in valley station.​ read more

Kiri did a great job chopping off my split ends and my hair smells and looks amazing now! I don't think I've ever had a hair cut this inexpensive with such great quality. Hannah is THE best stylist in Louisville. Every time I go in whether it's for a cut, trim, color, or combo, she knocks it put of the park. My hair finishes soft, silky, and I can run my hands through it without a knot. Also, its clean, modern, upscale inside appearance is a comfort. Everyone in the salon is kind, courteous, and fun. They offer a wide range of services including waxing, and facials. Their next best kept secret is Monica Caporale, the masseuse. She works magic with her hands. music, and relaxing garden feel. I suffer from chronic pain and couldn't get through a month without my therapy massage among her many options.. She further offers sound therapy, and chakra cleansing. 10/10. Sean and staff are AWESOME! I got lost trying to find the location, so I called and they helped me find my way! Sean meet me at door. Said hi, He did my temp check before I got in the door and asked a series of questions. Once in, we talked about what's going on with my hair, it's was 2 toned and I wanted a solid color with some dimension. Sean had some great ideas and on we went. About 1hr or so later, I was ready for the big reveal. I loved it, my hair felt healthy and the look was exactly what I wanted for the fall. Southern Comfort Salon is wonderful! My stylist is Kiri and she does an awesome job on my color and haircut. I always get compliments on my hair. I got one last week & it's been a month since She did my hair. She is great at doing your eyebrows as well. Every one in the salon is nice & professional. Been here twice. They are great at coloring... Cuts, not so much. Both times my hair cut has not been anything like what I asked for, and this second time I went, she messed up my cut so much, I'm literally going to have to get a pixie cut to fix it. Never again. read more

I visited this salon twice and got highlights & a dark color underneath both times. The first time I got my hair done it was by a woman named Tanya who did a really good job. The second time, a woman named Tammy did my hair. When I got there for my appt., I asked her if she could schedule an appt. for my friend later in the day or another day and she said she could come while I was getting my hair done & she would wait on my friend after. Tammy was nice enough but I have 2 bones to pick. Firstly & most importantly, I went in to get my roots touched up -- when I got home, I realized that the section I part my hair at looked like I still had at least 3 months of root growth along with my hairline -- if I wore a ponytail I had visible long roots in the front. I had to go back after and get it touched up.. Along with this, my friend showed Tammy a picture of what she wanted, which was a balayage (my friend expected her to simply bleach her hair and have it fade in with her natural hair color at the top (brown)). Tammy instead dyed her natural hair color at the top a reddish color which was not in the picture and the part that was supposed to be bleach blonde was a copper color. I don't know if she did it intentionally or just didn't tone the bleached hair, but it wasn't what my friend had asked for. The other thing that I didn't like which wasn't a huge deal was that someone came in (while Tammy was doing my hair and my friend was waiting in a chair beside me) wanting to get their eyebrows done and another worked asked Tammy if she would do it & she said yes, she would fit it in before she started on my friend's hair. Even though my friend had decided to come last minute, I still feel as though it was rude for her to postpone working on my friend's hair and making her wait longer.
