For what this is, this place is pretty awesome…read more What this place is is: A large sports complex that has the capacity to house adult recreational soccer, kids' volleyball, roller derby, high school baseball, etc., etc. It's owned and operated by the Milwaukee County Parks System. Essentially, it's a giant field house that can accommodate any and all types of sporting matches you can think of (save for swimming, ice skating, etc.) You get the idea. A giant giant indoor space can be divided into four different spaces, and rental rates are relatively inexpensive. For larger spectator events, the Sports Complex staff will do parking, security, concessions, etc. There are large-ish locker rooms and ample bathrooms for a place of this size. They have bleachers. The have outdoor fields as well for soccer, baseball, and whatever else you could want to play outside. We played our first four Bruiser home seasons here, and despite the fact that it's not exactly centrally located (it's all the way out in Franklin), it suited our growing needs just fine. (Now, however, we've moved to the US Cellular Arena, as we could no longer fit our fan base into the Sports Complex.) It's a nice addition to our parks system, and a great place for kids/amateur/recreational sporting matches. It was great for our BCB home season too, but change is good, too.

I have been on well over 50 rollercoasters in my lifetime, and I have never feared for my life on a…read morerollercoaster before this one. The vest restraints on X-Flight are unique in that they never stop getting tighter throughout the ride. Every time you are pinned to the back of your seat by the forces of the ride, that harness gets a little bit tighter. By the end of the ride, I could not breathe. My vision started to go blurry, and then black. I did not fully pass out, because I was able to get out of my seat and exit the ride platform without any assistance, but I was so lightheaded that I was running into people, and I could not see clearly for quite some time afterward. I have never been constricted by an anaconda, but I imagine that this is exactly what it would feel like. Depending on your body proportions, this ride can be outright dangerous, and I am shocked that no one has ever died on it. If I were to get stuck on this ride (technical difficulties, e-stop, etc), I do not think I would live to tell the tale. It is not only dizzying, but excruciatingly painful to have your rib cage constricted like it's in a vice. This displays a terrifying lack of awareness of human anatomy. Our rib cage is designed to expand and contract. If the restraint gets tighter every time we exhale, we will no longer have room to INHALE, and breathing is a vital, life-sustaining function. New vest restraints are snug, but they do not progressively get tighter throughout the ride. Take, for example, the vest restraints on Valravn, Banshee, Gatekeeper, or even Wrath of Rakshasha right at this very park. I think it is criminal that Six Flags has not had X-Flight updated with the updated, safer, vest restraints that the manufacturer is now using. I urge you not to ride if you have a lot of soft tissue on your chest. If you are a woman with a larger cup size (as in, above a D), and a small stomach, this may very well be the last ride of your life. Six Flags, please update these restraints and in the meantime, consider changing the name to something more appropriate like "Boob Buster" or "Anaconda," Or add a cup size limitation to the ride rules and restrictions. "Anyone larger than a D-cup may not ride."

Five stars for the Kenosha Kingfish…read more They are a college baseball team that play at Historic Simmons field in Kenosha. This is a perfect summer activity to do for people of all ages that like baseball. They have a big concession stand, plenty of beer options, raffles and giveaways, themed nights, fireworks sometimes and a small merch shop. Tickets are always reasonably priced. Parking is free but first come, first served. If you come too late, you'll have to find street parking. I definitely recommend you watch a game if you love summer and want a fun outdoor activity for people of all ages.
