Go on Tuesday for the procedure after taking the 10mg Valium they prescribed. I get there and Dr. Seeley does not show. Dr. Franklin won't do the sedation. He continues to try to pressure me to do the surgery without it. He offers Halcion when I told him it's never worked for me which is why I chose IV sedation that their website says they do. My whole phobia of dentists and anxiety will not let me. He then cancels and refuses it all. Says he will try to reschedule months away. I haven't been able to eat food in over three months and I scheduled it now because of my work schedule and kids sports schedules I was working around. Not to mention working around both doctors schedules. Unorganized. Unprofessional. Not caring at all. Not to mention Dr. Seeley could have call and cancelled. My FMLA was scheduled to start from work today for this procedure and I had to miss work for nothing. They didn't want to cancel because they wanted to force me through it.

She claimed she was joking because she couldn't pronounce his name, but I found that comment disrespectful and unprofessional, especially in a healthcare setting where patients should be treated with dignity and respect. I immediately requested a different staff member and was assisted by Bella, who was kind, professional, and completely changed the atmosphere of the visit. I also brought the situation to the attention of Austin and Dr. Maria because I felt it was important for management to be aware of what occurred. While I appreciate Bella's professionalism and the office's willingness to switch staff members, the initial interaction left a very negative impression. Patients should never feel disrespected because of their name or background. I hope the office addresses this issue and provides better customer service training moving forward.

It was a difficult case. She was surprised I had not felt more discomfort from the infection before coming in. She worked for quite a while to remove all of the decay, as it was a hot mess. She kept the area pain-free for me during the procedure. (And...bonus...I had more energy once my body was not fighting that infection.) Afterwards, she presented me with options about what I could do next. I opted for a dental implant. Her wonderful, efficient staff presented me with an accurate estimate, explaining how and why any treatment charges were slightly more than my dental coverage. (It's nice to know this information in advance.) Again, each subsequent procedure was painless. In my case, there was minimal swelling and bleeding. I'm sure each patient's gum condition and healing outcome is different, but I would trust Dr. Hamal to be able to navigate those differences. She is practical, empathetic, forthcoming...an experienced, skillful professional. I highly recommend her.

I was very afraid of the procedure (blood and gore and pain) and he assured me that there would be very little blood, that he would give me numbing shots for the pain and that the pain would be minimal after the procedure. The numbing shots did hurt a bit (when doesn't a shot hurt, right?) but as soon as I was all numb, he went to work and expertly did his procedure. Afterward when I was getting ready to leave, I noticed a bigger bit of blood and mentioned it and he put me right back in the operative chair and looked into my mouth to discover a few blood clots that he suctioned out. Bleeding practically non-existent after that. Pain level was low enough that I didn't need to even take Tylenol. His office is efficient, clean and a nice place to be if one has to visit an oral surgeon. I recommend him unreservedly.
