When it came time to sell, Mike did the absolute minimum. Home photos posted online were taken (inexpertly) with a cell phone and included images of a kitchen sink filled with dirty dishes and (inexplicably) a dirty bath with (yuck) hairs on the toilet seat. We quickly asked for photos to be taken down. We paid for maid service and requested professional photography. From the original listing (with horrible photos), Mike brought us offers well below asking from buyers who viewed our townhouse as a bargain sale. When we declined to counter, Mike was a bit of a bully as he tried to goad us into entertaining low ball offers ... while comps in the same complex represented by a Townside colleague were going at and above asking. We ended up selling at an acceptable price (but not great in a sellers' market). I produced our property flyers myself and sent them to Mike for printing and distribution. We had to stay on top of Mike for photography and house cleanings before showings. We had to be firm in our negotiations under pressure from Mike to sell low. A wholly unpleasant transaction. I am not sure if anyone reads these reviews, but if you do ... I would caution you to steer clear of Mr. Eggleston.

Southern Trace Builders gave me the worst contracting experience I've ever dealt with…read more This was quoted as a 1-2 week project and it dragged out to about 11 weeks before it was even usable. Once they were paid, communication fell off a cliff and the project manager showed extremely low urgency - especially after they were paid! The quality of work was bad enough that I had to hire another crew, on my own dime, to fix their mistakes. When I asked for receipts and documentation for added work and materials I was being billed for, they refused to provide them. For a project that ended up costing $67,000, that level of non-transparency is completely unacceptable. After I posted a negative review about my experience, they refused to finish the remaining work unless I signed an agreement promising to take the review down and never post another - which is highly illegal. Instead of standing behind their work, they tried to use the unfinished project as leverage to control what I said. The materials used were clearly lower grade than what was discussed, the workmanship was sloppy, the timeline was blown, and the overall professionalism was nonexistent. Delays, poor work, no accountability, no documentation, and disrespectful business practices from start to finish. I would not recommend Southern Trace Builders to anyone.

They went in and out of our basement even when caught and asked to not do it was told "I needed to use the bathroom and didn't want to go to the gas station" They cut into our door when cutting the concrete, built the incorrect deck than was agreed upon, cut the boards so bad several had to be reordered. Deck is smaller than what we paid for and sits lower than the previous one. I instructed them to build it higher than before due to limited space on the lower porch and instead lost space. Deck is already in bad shape and completely wrong. Owner s a two faced dick that will lie to your face about fixing issues. Jim, the owner, pulled out the slabs for us to look at and explained there was one area with a flaw that they would avoid. The crew that came out to create the templates and install was prompt and professional. We had to reschedule a couple of times to coordinate with our cabinet installers, and they were very accommodating. Everything was cut accurately and installed well. Both slabs have a lovely ogee edge. The vanity was cut in one piece with 2 undermount sinks. The tub deck has a seam, but we had to look closely to be able to see it - it's not noticeable at all It turned out beautifully and the price was very reasonable. We're very happy with Premier Stone.
