This is one of the best places in Bakersville, NC! They've been open for a couple months and I attended their soft opening when I was here over the summer. Now that I'm back for a week I knew I wanted to check it out again. They are GREAT for breakfast and have excellent food. It's literally like what you'd think of when you think of going to have a meal at your Southern grandmothers home. Everything is made to order and cooked however you want it. It's an excellent place to stop off for coffee and dessert and the menu is well executed-meaning-there truly is something for everyone. They recently updated their hours and they now stay open til 7PM. They have a kids night event in Tuesday's where they do games and art and have $1 soft serve ice cream. They are truly doing an awesome job and I can't wait to eat there again soon!

Excellent hot ham and cheese on thick delicious bread :) I'll regret not trying the home strawberry frosted cake that looked amazing.

Happy there's a good coffee shop in town. Coffee with a snack in the mountains makes life good.

I figured a coffee shop might serve up better internet anyway, and I wasn't wrong. The morning crew was bustling but friendly, quickly selling me a cup for the self-serve station and pointing me toward the stairs. The ground floor is cozy and compact, but they've got a second level that opens things up nicely. I chose the light roast labeled 'Autumn Honduras,' which turned out to be a fabulous pick ‐ bright, smooth, and just what I needed. I added a modest splash of cream, climbed the stairs, and found a quiet spot to settle in. I spent a solid hour up there, sipping slowly and sketching out the next leg of my journey through the mountains. It's a genuinely comfortable space, with enough warmth and quiet to make a full workday feel entirely doable. You could easily lose track of time here, and I wouldn't blame you one bit. There is street parking nearby, and this place is always hopping. This place makes me think of a southerner's take on a French bakery. Absolutely gorgeous on the inside with decadent sweets to choose from, while also featuring classics like a Swiss roll or a cream puff. They also offer breakfast/brunch/lunch, as well as made to order cakes. (Their coconut cake is award-winning). We came in recently and got a BLT, chicken salad on croissant (with watermelon salad), quiche, cream puff, lemon Swiss roll, and lattes. The sandwiches were all delicious and this was my first time trying watermelon salad - fresh and perfect to accompany the sandwiches. Their quiches are large and filling - perfect on their own for breakfast. For lattes, we got a vanilla latte, and then their July 4th special, which had strawberry and white chocolate in it - the July 4th specialty latte was decadent - if you like sweet, you should give it a try. All in all, I think we paid $50ish for our meal. This spot is a must if you're in the area!

For a light lunch I ordered a side of chicken salad (was light and not dripping in mayo) so fresh; I also ordered a croissant warmed up and a delicious chocolate truffle for dessert. I wished it took more pics to share but the shop is well kept, quaint and service was quick, efficient and served with smile. Looking forward to visiting again when in town!
