Very precious cafe in the heart of Erwin Tennessee. I ordered the midsummer latte and it was a bit underwhelming (lacked flavor) but the food variety was great, as well as flavor variety for coffees. Plenty of merch was available, indoor and outdoor seating, and staff was smiling and friendly. Will return to try another cup of Joe!

The first bite was so good, I couldn't stop devouring it even though I burnt the roof of my mouth from it being freshly put together!

i love steel rails, it is a staple in our house on the weekends! the atmosphere is always nice and the employees are friendly. however, the new AI marketing roll out has given me pause. i understand AI is crucial to small business, but i'm not sure what to expect anymore when i order. none of the drinks look like what is on the menu, and some of the names are half spelled or not fully thought out. you can just tell there was little to no human touch, which i know you understand as a small business is important! anyway i LOVE you guys and you've still got a patron in me. just please i beg of you, use real pictures of your products in advertising. read more

Amazingly friendly service and outstanding coffee to match! So glad we stopped in. There have pretty much every syrup I've ever seen and they offer both soy and almond milk. I had a soy "blueberry smooch" (blueberry/white chocolate) latte which tasted like an actual blueberry muffin......WOW! We will definitely be back! read more

This place is so awesome! They have the best wraps and an awesome selection of coffee, lattes, and smoothies. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice and both times here have come and chatted with our group. They are very hiker friendly for all AT hikers, too. I definitely recommend stopping here when in town! read more

Try the Blueberry Smooch latte! They definitely offer enough caffeine to jump start a dead Clydesdale horse and bring it back to life for an affordable price! I love espresso where the barista knows how to time and NOT to burn a shot. These guys know what they are doing! Let me elaborate: People don't get it... that 'frou frou fancy coffee' costs what it does because of the quality of the beans used and how the drinks are made. A latte at the Double Arch will never give you the caffeinated punch that Steel Rails will, let alone the taste. Big name coffee companies that love mermaids are like the Golden Arches of coffee: they have machines on timed settings to fail proof the barista art form. This limits the full spectrum of customization for people who are coffee snobs. In short... Steel Rails baristas are tigers and don't need no stinkin' timed settings and automatic cut offs! I was passing through Erwin and caught site of a Quilt Show. I proceeded to go inside to look at the beautiful quilts and found myself in the coffee shop connected to the area where the quilts were displayed. I found out the owner is the son and bother of two of the quilters and a dear friend of the other one. I enjoyed our visit and enjoyed the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.
