The Ferguson Deal - I didn't love it…read more I was shopping for a used 2017 GMC Sierra and had looked far and wide. I came across Ferguson Superstore in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on car gurus, and they had a Denali edition. Perfect. I called and texted Erik Wells, the salesman. I was initially put off when I was told the price was non-negotiable, as everything is negotiable in sales. After looking at other cars with more and fewer miles, the price was right where it needed to be. So no negotiation was required, so I proceeded to the dealership. It was after six, and Erik was off but had stayed late to show me the truck, which was much appreciated. After a test drive, the car was clean, had the certified guarantee, and immaculate. I decided to buy it. Chuck ran me thru the paperwork, and I was out the door. The truck ran great, and I was happy. The next day, I backed out of my parking spot. A 6 point turn, I pulled into the mall. Another 8 points turn to get in. The truck was so big; it was a truck, after all. The more I thought about it. It just wasn't for me. I didn't love it. I remembered that Erik had mentioned the Ferguson Deal. A three-day / 150-mile guarantee that I was happy. I lowered my head and called Erik and chuck and sadly told them I had made a mistake and wasn't in love with the Truck. To my surprise, they said, "come in, let's make it right. " I mentioned two other cars I was interested in, and when I arrived at the Ferguson Superstore, Erik had both cars ready for me upfront and ready to go. I drove the first one I had wanted and fell in love. I took it across the street, did some parallel parking, a few ins, and outs, and decided this was the one. Upon returning to the dealership, I gave it the walk around, confirmed it was the one, and told Erik. Chuck quickly ran me thru all the paperwork once again. And I was in and out on a busy Saturday, within an hour. I'm not a fan of dealerships and prefer not to deal with them, but honestly, after this experience, I will be back and most likely only buy the Ferguson Deal. I can not express how worried I was that I had purchased the wrong track, and thankfully, because of the Ferguson Deal, I'm now a 100% happy customer.

I told them i just had the same thing done to mine in Dallas for $150.00. They stated thats what they charge. Our experience was absolutely horrible. We took our 09 Toyota Highlander to Cartec this morning for…read morea free inspection (to continue the inspection the needed to replace the valve cover gasket for $330) because our car kept dying when we would come to a stop, we gave them our car for 3 hours and then got a call back from a lady who said that the total would now be $550 because they broke a solenoid that was "frozen in the head of the engine" instead of calling us before they decided it would just be better to break it out. On the phone since they decided they wanted us to pay for it we decided it would be smarter on our end to threaten to take them to court because we're not paying for a part that you broke without asking, Jerry (the owner) said on the phone that he would get the costs covered and he would message us when they are done with the car. Once we arrived to pickup our car the battery light was on (it wasn't before) and they still made us pay the $330 for the valve cover gasket. We left, went home, opened the hood of our car to see that the alternator was not even connected to the car anymore and the bolt was gone, the cover on the top of the battery was just sitting on the side, and the alternator wire was covered in a bunch of electrical tape. So, we take it back to get our alternator hooked back up and Jerry was being very unethical and not understanding at all about the fact that they left our car like that. He finally found a bolt that fits, after trying 3 other ones of which fell into our engine bay, and then sent us on our way.

I always preferred the small, independent tire dealers after that and loved going to Bill's Tire that was at 15th and Sheridan. I fumbled around with the big boys for a bit (i.e. Goodyear) until we had an issue with my son's Honda Civic. They referred me to Dino and I've been in tire heaven since!! Honest, reliable, and they do great work!! Take your quote in from the big guys and I'd be willing to bet that Dino can beat it like a drum!! I have witnessed this more than once!!
