It was a corset and a skirt, loosely attached, with the skirt sewn over the corset. It came apart during cleaning, and instead of notifying me and asking me how I would like to proceed, she tried to fix it behind my back and did so incorrectly. She sewed the skirt under the corset, rendering the dress unwearable. It does not fit me any longer and it won't zip. The repairs were done very poorly--the thread does not match the fabric, and the stitches were made in the middle of the dress instead of hidden at the seams. For this reason, it could not be repaired, because removing the stitches would leave holes in the fabric. I came in person to address it and she 1) refused to apologize and 2) criticized my appearance. I've never had a more unprofessional experience before. I was pawned off to her son who told me he would reach out with a resolution before the weekend is over--it is now Sunday night and I have not been contacted. These are not honorable people with respect for anyone else besides themselves. She trashed a $500 dress and refused to make it right. She didn't apologize, and insulted me. I will be taking them to small claims court. If you have precious or special pieces, do not take them here. If you have the skill, clean and repair your items at home. I only have basic sewing knowledge and I could've done a better job than this. These are not respectful, trustworthy, or serious people.
