You park and what you see is what you get. They offer hay/wagon rides, but they don't seem necessary when most everything is in walking distance. A small bakery sits on the property that offers a good selection of sweet treats. Next to this, a small shop of knick knacks and the place where you purchase pumpkins and fruits. There is a huge slide, a place to see pigs and feed goats. A small corn maze and other ticketed options for the kiddos. To me this place was a bit boring, but I understand the appeal for small town folks to have an opportunity to let little ones go out and pick a pumpkin to bring home. We ventured around and let the kiddos play, bought some pork rinds and popcorn and then headed home. There is an event space for birthdays and limited seating, but for what this place offers it is an okay stop to busy up an afternoon.

In my recent experience they brought us a bottle of water shortly after sitting but no glasses to pour the water into. 20 mins later we finally received glasses for our water after going to the bar and asking, only to be told that she was filling them. 10 mins later a basket of dinner rolls was brought to us with no plates to put them on. After another 10 mins of wonder if our meal was on the way, we decided to just start eating the dinner rolls. 15 mins later they came around with a cart and asked if someone wanted beef. I took the beef but the three ladies at my table preferred chicken so I paused to eat but figured with the delays that they wouldn't be coming soon and decided to eat. It took the sponsor of our event to tell the staff that there were three people at this table who needed a plate. By that time, I had already finished my meal, the server had taken my plate, and nobody was hungry anymore. We decided to go elsewhere for a meal after paying our respects to the family. Totally unacceptable for a catered meal to be so mismanged and delayed. I would not recommend this business to anyone nor return for even a free meal. You deserve better!

In 1780 Elizabethtown settled by Samuel Haycraft, Thomas Helm and Andrew Hynes, for whose wife town named." It is marker number 960 and was erected in 1966 by the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Department of Highways. The court house was built in 1933 in Georgian Revival style. It has a three-story brick central section with a slightly projecting entrance pavilion, which has a shallow portico. The courthouse replaced an 1873 courthouse which was damaged in 1932 by a fire. From the moment you arrive, you can tell they put a tremendous amount of thought, time, and effort into creating an immersive experience. The atmosphere, sets, lighting, sounds, costumes, and special effects were all incredibly well done. What really stood out to me was the actors. They were phenomenal! They stayed completely in character, were extremely convincing, and knew exactly how to build suspense and catch you off guard. There were plenty of unexpected scares, and the entire experience kept us on edge from beginning to end. It also didn't feel like we were simply walking through a series of rooms--the whole thing felt like a story you were actually experiencing. The attention to detail was impressive, and there were so many little things happening around you that made the experience even better. If you're looking for a haunted attraction that will actually scare you, keep you entertained, and leave you talking about it afterward, I highly recommend Nightmare Forest. We had an absolute blast and will definitely be coming back! 10/10 experience -- absolutely worth it!
