My boyfriends mother has been playing bingo here for the last 6-7 years. We occasionally join her for a game of bingo. The Sunday evening game starts at 7:30pm & we arrived about 30 minutes before the start. My boyfriends mother came with her bingo bag full of dobbers & a lucky coin. These people are serious about bingo here! She knows all the regulars & the staff by name. I sat at "her table" while they got our bingo cards. I learned that the bingo hall is run entirely by volunteers. The volunteers are always very friendly. Each night the money brought in is raised for different local schools or sport teams. The pay outs are $100+ per game. There are several TV monitors that display the ball before the call all around the bingo hall. A snack bar that has concession stand food & beverage is open during bingo. You are also able to bring in outside food & beverage. My boyfriend's mother is a sucker for all the pull tabs & bingo extras. I just like having her there to tell me what to play or do next! They take two breaks during the game with plenty of time to snack, smoke or use the bathroom. It usually ends around 10pm & we left around 10:30pm last Sunday. The floors are a little dirty & sometimes the women's bathroom can be a disaster. We noted dirt wheel marks from wheelchairs & walkers leading into the bathroom. The bingo tables are always clean on our arrival. I always have a great time when we play Bingo at Sunshine Bingo Hall. Maybe one day I will be a winner! read more

I never Bingo here but occasionally win a pull tab. I dropped my Donkey #15. We were looking for it . It won 100. Someone found it before we did and collected the money. I had a great time. Went by myself didnt know anyone until the last hour and half. One of my mother's favorite new spots, which she introduced me to just recently. Although it's close to the nice area that she lives in, this place is a little in the slums of the Fern Creek area. It's a tad bit shabby, but we still had a pretty good time playing bingo. The crowd Sunshine attracts is also on the shabby side, which probably goes back to the area that it's in. One thing I really do like about this place is that they take portions of the money made and donate it to various organizations and charities, most nights always consisting of something different. For example, the night we went the funds went towards Southern high school. They've got a pretty nice-looking snack bar, and even offer breakfast items in the morning. You can come for a game of bingo during the day or later at night. Not a place you'd catch me at all the time, but it's something different for every once in a while. read more

Came to this location because my normal location was closed. Large bingo hall, the caller wasn't the greatest. They have a large selection of food at the concession stand, although no loaded cheese fries. The cost of the main pack for the morning was $7. Bingo is becoming one of my favorite activities to do with friends be it's very affordable for the amount of time you're playing. I think it lasted about 2.5 hours. read more

Sunshine Bingo is a little shabby around the edges, but the workers are nice, it's cheap, and they have a decent snack bar. We went to the Sunday afternoon bingo and only paid five dollars per pack plus one dollar for each extra (coverall, speed etc.) Each session is sponsored by a different local organization and they donate profits to them. We forgot our daubers at home, but they were giving away free daubers for Christmas which was awesome. No one was rude or loud or talked on the phone. I'm a fan. read more

I had a bingo I called bingo and several people around me also was trying to get the callers attention by the time we got the callers attention he said the game was closed both times we have been there with the same guy calling we had a bad experience if they have the same caller the next time we go I will turn around and leave beside the caller the other staff are real nice read more

This bingo hall has gone down hill. They announced in the rules that cursing or yelling, you will be asked to leave, yet the callers husband, while selling pull tabs curses constantly and is rude calling patrons names. This Tuesday he started yelling at a female because he overheard a conversation about the called not dropping the last ball 2 games in a row. The conversation did not include him. Nor is cursing a patron and yelling at them ok ! They need to get rid of him or they will lose business. I overheard several people say they wouldn't come back if he continues to be there read more

This is a nice local bingo hall. The caller can be a hit or miss. They really emphasize pull tabs and will hold up a break trying to sell them. The biggest benefit for me is the packs are affordable. On a sunday at 7:30 a pack is only $5. The special game was maybe $3 and extras are a $1 for odd even, early and late speeds etc. They do not have machines which is great and not a lot of people bingo on a single game. The payouts are nice and are about the same as other halls. No lower than 100 and up to 1000 on the coverall. They also have games where you win pull tabs. They have a small concession area. Not as nice as breckinridge but it does the job. Chips, candy, pickles, sandwiches, hotdogs and drinks. No fried food which would be nice but also means the service is quick. You can also bring your own food and drink in which saves you money. They dont have midnight bingo at this time but 730 almost every night and then afternoon sessions on the weekends and some morning sessions during the week. You can bring kids except at the morning session. read more

This bingo hall is going down hill. We've been coming here since way back when smoking was allowed. Normally we come on Wednesday's but the bingo call is awful. I really miss the other guy...the new guy is slow, and quick to make mistakes and not own up to them. His Callers choice game was a straight line and a six pack but then allows a diagonal line and a 6 pack win. When did a straight line become a diagonal one? If you point out anything he does wrong he's quick to get defensive and has his line table of frequent winners defend and fight his battles. I can deal with him being extra slow and a bit sloppy, but I cannot deal with him being a downright cheat. If he can't handle the pressures of being a bingo caller, then step down. No wonder this place is so incredibly empty. We won't be back, jtown is way better and they are extremely friendly. The only positive thing to say about this place is the ladies working the pull table counter are hilarious. read more
