My main problem with Southland primary care is the fact that they cannot answer the phones. I know it's not the office staff that has a problem but HCA itself. I'm thinking it's more of corporate greed and not wanting to hire more receptionist. The majority of the time you are said to a call center and just to leave a message you have to give all of your information which I consider ridiculous. I don't know how to get a hold of corporate, but I would definitely let them know what a poor job. They are doing with communication for their patients. A person also has to go through so many prompts even to get to the call center that it is ridiculous. Hope they get this under control. It is a big inconvenience for the people they are supposed to be serving. read more

Went to this clinic 30 days ago and still never got my script filled. After multiple pharmacist reached out trying to assist in me getting my script calls were ignored as they were with me as well. I reached out to the clinic several times and spoke with a very unprofessional nurse who still did not help and eventually they closed out my script. I dont care what response the own gives about this review they did absolutely nothing to assir with me getting my script which not have the medication caused me to stop breathing in my sleep twice. I did reach out to Medicaid this entire process and asked them to document my experience as I would have NEVER chose this clinic! Medicaid signed this clinic up as my pcp! They were quick to. Took the appointment so they would get paid but slow to make sure I got my medication. Again the OWNER will.give a generic response but never reached out to me to fix the issue! If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would!! read more

Good luck getting in to see a doctor! I do have a primary care doctor at this office. I can't even get in too see them or any other doctor. I have an appointment for 2 months out. That's all they had available. Was told to call everyday to see if they can see me sooner. We'll 3 weeks and still can't be seen. Will have to go to the emergency room to get help with my issue. Was told to go to the emergency room or to a walk in clinic. So what is the purpose of having a primary car doctor if they can never see you. This sucks. Need to find a way to help people with issue. read more

Dr Ridley and his nurses are always attentive, kind, and caring. I had my son with me at my last appointment and they made sure to make him feel welcome as well. Stay away from this group. I had been a patient there before the consolidation when Dr Bradley, Williams and Ridley were know. As Belton Family Practice. Basically 40 years. Today 11/25/24 I received a letter letting me know my Dr is retiring even though I heard he is going to a practice in Independence, they have no drs taking any patients so you are basically left at insurance renewal time with no primary care physician. They handled this very poorly. So don't go here unless you want to risk being left out in the cold. This is the worst they could have treated long time established patients. read more

Made an appt for a potential sinus infection with "Zandy" a PA, she totally dismissed my concerns, even told me that my symptoms weren't a sinus infection then suggested a sinus X-ray and she was done. This was the first and last appt. Received the bill, over $200 for less than 3 minutes, being dismissed and no follow up on the sinus X-ray results. Had to spend more money on a real doctor, fever, cough and sick another week because she was to busy. Would not recommend waiting your time on Zandra Gottman. read more

This place is just awful. They always put you on hold for the longest. I went there in hopes of getting a second opinion for my hypothyroidism. My levels were off and I wanted to switch my meds to something else. I feel awful. I went in and the nurse weighed me she seemed like she didn't even want to be there then she asked how much I weighed cuz she wasn't paying attention I told her what the scale said she said "I thought that's what it said but I didn't want to be rude" something she could had kept to herself. I Told her I wanted to change meds and I haven't been able to find a doctor who will get me off this generic meds where I've gained 70 pounds being on it. There's a lot more symptoms but every doctor swear by this medication. Ok so the doctor comes in "hi I'm Zandra" whatever her name is. "From what I am hearing you blame the meds for your weight gain and being tired. Well It's not the medicine so why do you think that?" So I explained how I use to be active before being on this meds and Even when it's in range I don't feel ok Im still so tired she says "what you need is a gym" she then went said "in 2012 (9 YEARS AGO) looks like you weighted____" I said yea and In 2013 I gained more weight and 2014 I went to the gym everyday and lost all my weight. I wanted to cuss her out because I lost my daughter at the end of 2010 and I gained a lot of depression weight. then I asked for this specific test she replies "why? You'll still be on the same medication" I asked her to switch me to this other medication because some people do better on it. Her reply "ugh it's the same thing just name brand but ok" I get a call from my pharmacy saying my medication is ready. I called to verify it's the one I wanted. IT IS NOT!!!! They sent over a prescription of the same stuff I'm on. I call the doctor again... long hold. The lady answered they had ALL MY INFORMATION IN THE SYSTEM WRONG. My phone number was wrong as well as my email. The lady I spoke to said yes they sent over the meds that I'm currently on. I told her I wanted the name brand not generic. Ok so I get a call from my pharmacy it's ready. I called back to verify dosage and what do you know? It's the WRONG dosage!!!!!! I called the doctor AGAIN!!! I explain everything AGAIN. The lady looked at my test results and on the note it says "no need to change dosage" ok so why did they send over the wrong dosage? So now she said she'll leave a message for the doctor and have the dosage change. read more

Went to my PCP to get a simple blood pressure medication refill that they wouldn't do over the phone. After the long wait he told me he couldn't refill it unless I had a thousand dollars worth of blood work done so he could limit his liability. I couldn't afford the blood work so I had to leave with no script. Maybe when I die of a stroke they'll review this policy when my wife sues them. read more

I used to be a patient of Dr. Kratt , my mother saw him as well she randomly received a letter saying she was being dismissed as a patient for missed appointments which was odd because she doesn't miss appointments . Not long after I received the same letter . I had missed an appointment because a receptionist gave me an appointment at one time vs another . They didn't seem to care and cut me as a patient as well . It's my opinion that sadly this medical office is the only in Belton and because of such you have to drive 20-30 minutes depending on where you live to see other doctors. Because of this his office is full and they don't treat you like a person just a patient ID . I had a fracture on my foot that was miss diagnosed by this man which only led to further damage to my foot, cost me months off of work unpaid. It's my suggestion to you all that you find another practice// doctor that will take the time with you as a patient and person that you deserve. read more

Beware of x-ray orders. This medical center DOES NOT have their own x-ray department.They will send you over to the hospital and they will charge you a "usage" fee. They billed my insurance co $2000 for using the hospital facilities on top of the x-ray charge. If you need x-rays and haven't met your deductible, go to diagnostic imaging. My cost there was only $30 and I now have to pay Belton Hospital $650...crazy! Ask questions and do your due diligence. read more

This is a incredibly well-run, well-managed medical/Dr.'s office. From ease of making an appt--I've always been able to get an appt either same day or next day, to almost ZERO wait time, both in waiting room and in treatment room. And Dr. Bogner is thorough, knowledgeable and listens/communicates very well. I highly recommend Dr. Bogner and Southland Care, without reservation. Terrible staff and policy for patients. I had seen Dr. Ridley for years as my family doctor along with the rest of my immediate family. I had been diagnosed with tourettes disorder when I was 13(now 27) by a doctor at Children's Mercy here in KC and have worked with Dr. Ridley to help medicate and treat not only my issues with tourettes but also severe depression and anxiety. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Ridley, unfortunately in the last five months I have had a very disheartening and just plain sad/frustrating time with one of his colleagues and quite a few front desk workers. While having a very bad time with depression I decided to seek out a second opinion from a colleague who worked with Dr. Ridley. It just seemed like I needed something different than a normal SSRI to help break me from DEPRESSION and didn't affect my overactive neurological system too much. Luckily this other doctor had a great suggestion that seemed to work. Sadly at one point I actually missed an appointment and the second time I tried mulpitple times to cancel a different appointment but was disconnected 4 times and even left a message trying to explain that I would have to reschedule my appointment. These were both counted as no shows and after that I received a letter stating that it was in my doctor's(being the new Doctor) best interest to dismiss me as a client.. OUCH! that hurt especially because I had genuinely tried to reschedule that last appointment, but I thought OK don't get too upset. I have had my family doctor since I was a toddler who now only worked with Southland because it was combined with Belton family practice which is where I grew up going. So when I called today to make my first appointment with Dr. Ridley in months, so I can continue this life-altering anti depressant I am told not only am I not allowed to see the guy who cut ties with me, I'm not allowed to see anyone, not even my family doctor from childhood. To add insult to injury while talking to the girl at the front desk about how I can't ever come back, she just acted so callus. After asking if I could ever come back even to see my regular doctor she said "no" to which I responded "oh" and so she said "bye bye" and hung up on me. I have never felt so hurt especially already feeling emotionally weak and now no longer being able to get my anti-depression medication...From a place I grew up going to and used to be proud of having in my home town. Please never go here if you really want a genuinely caring person to evaluate what you might need mentally. read more

I loved the location and since my doctor was moving I needed a new doctor. I called to make an appointment, and they couldn't get me in for two months. And that was okay with me because I had no pressing medical needs. But, now I have a problem with my ear, and they can't fit me in until Mid September. It's not like my ear is a life or death situation, but it is a genuine medical need. I canceled my appointments and am going elsewhere. They were very sorry they couldn't help me. But, that doesn't help my ear. read more

Most horrible experience I have ever had at any Dr office. I should have known the moment I walked in and stood at the front desk for at least 3 minutes while the front desk people gabbed and gossiped and not one person asked if I needed to be helped. Finally after they were done telling their stories did someone finally sign me in. Dr said I needed a mammogram so he writes on a paper for me to give to the front desk lady Donna to schedule me an appointment at Diagnostic Imaging since I have had them done there in the past so they could compare results. Well Donna tells me although it will be cheaper at Diagnostic they like to keep the money in their own building so she will not schedule it at Diagnostic and I said the reason its for there is because that is where I get them done and she says well she will have to make sure they take my ins. so she will have to get back to me. The next day she calls and says you are all set up for your mammogram at Belton I said it needs to be done at Diagnostic and she got kind of upset and says well I'll fax over the request and then hangs up on me. So I get the mammogram and didnt get great results they said I should get an MRI. Southland calls me and says they need to see me right away to discuss my results, I go in, pay a copay just for him to say you need to go in for a biopsy, someone will call you tomorrow to get that set up. 3 days pass nobody has called me so I call the Dr office and nobody has any clue about the biopsy so Im like you are kidding me so I call a surgeon and set up an appointment for a biopsy. 2 days later the Dr. calls me and says the breast surgeon thinks its a mistake during the mammogram and you do not need a biopsy. Said I do need an MRI though and someone would call me to schedule it so I cancel the biopsy appointment. 2 days pass and nobody has contacted me so I call Dr office back and they tell me the ins people are reviewing my medical records before they schedule my surgery. I said I dont need a surgery and they said oh we have the wrong person looks like you need a sonogram I said I already had a sonogram they said oh. said someone would call me. 2 more days pass I call back they said someone would get with me that day from scheduling. Believe it or not someone actually did get back with me to schedule a freaking mammogram! I said I dont need a mammogram I need an MRI. she tells me they have to get the ok from the ins company someone will get with you. Well I am the one who had to call them back of course and they said ins denied my MRI and they will do everything they can to try to make an appeal. Well I only went there for a second opinion and now I have scheduled an appointment with my original Dr so I can actually get something done about the results of my mammogram! These people in this office have absolutely no clue what the hell is going on! read more

I have been going to Southland Primary Care for years now. Actually started seeing them in their old location in Belton. A;though it is sometimes difficult to have a "same day" visit, they are worth waiting for. Dr.Bradley is my provider and what I love about his care is that he always takes as much time as needed for me to explain my medical concern. He listens carefully and then takes the time to explain what is medically happening with me. He really listens to my concerns and then works with me to come to an amiable health plan for me. Mine is a fluctuating situation and he always makes me feel that we are partnering in my own treatment. I really like this and feel that I have some control over my own health care. He has always taken very good care of my health and stays current on all medical updates. I would highly recommend this doctor and feel thankful that he is MY provider. read more

Dr. Bogner has been my doc since 1997. I can say with all honesty that I have never had any problems with this office. The scheduling staff works with me to find appointment times convenient to me (I'm a teacher). They often get me in the same day or soon after. Most recently, I called just before 7:30 am and they had me in by 9:40 that morning. Everyone always has a cheerful demeanor and is very helpful in answering questions. Dr. Bogner is a star. He's extremely knowledgeable but explains things in a way that anyone can understand. He has made excellent recommendations for specialists when needed. I have recommended others to the practice and have heard favorable comments from them as well. Thanks to everyone at Southland for always taking good care of me and my family! read more
