I've been very pleased with the care I've gotten from Dr. Menninger, especially in managing my medication. He was extremely helpful and concerned when I developed tardive dyskinesia (TD) from Abilify, which had been prescribed by my former doctor. It turned out I had been taking it at a high dose for quite a long time, and Dr. Menninger thought I should discontinue it. When I did, the TD symptoms showed up (involuntary mouth and facial movements that were obvious and annoying). He's been very good about working with me and my neurologist in coordinating care as I've been treated for the TD symptoms. Dr. Menninger is cautious and conservative when it comes to medication, which I very much appreciate after my experience with Abilify. I see him regularly, although only every few months, to check in on how things are going with my medications. These are short appointments and somehow there's no co-payment for them with my medical plan, so I certainly like that! During appointments Dr. Menninger takes his notes on his computer as he goes along. It seemed odd, at first, as I wasn't used to that, but now I don't notice it, and being "connected" Dr. Menninger can rapidly find and print out studies and articles on various issues for you while you're sitting in his office, which is very handy. All in all, definitely recommended!

I was hoping it would be the next day, but it was more two days, which was okay. I was told that I could make an appointment. Angie was so nice on the phone. She gave me a couple options so soon, I was honestly surprised. Then came time for my appointment. Emma was at the window and she was very accommodating and nice. She answered any questions I had and kept a smile on her face. I was called back almost right at 10, which was very nice. Now, the therapist herself was amazing. I had gone into this appointment with apprehension and nerves, but Dr. Dennihan was fabulous. She didn't talk down to me and I could tell that she was honestly listening to the things I had to say. She had something to say about everything I mentioned. The way she spoke to me was amazing. I understood very easily. By the end of the appointment, I felt a lot better about the reason I came in and I felt more normal than I had in a long time. I am definitely going to come back, without a doubt. I fell into an extremely deep depression about the collapse of all my plans and the loss of my partner, and knew I needed help. I was referred to Bob Feuer (pronounced Fewer) by my then-psychiatrist. I was looking for a therapist who is gay or gay-friendly and found that in Bob. He has been extremely good and caring when I was at probably the lowest point in my life, and over the past couple of years has helped see me through a really deep slough of despair. I really appreciate the help he has been to me, and the support I've received from him as my depression finally lifted (I'm glad to say it's gone now). If you're looking for a kind, caring therapist, I can heartily recommend Bob. He does a lot of relationship therapy, helps with coming-out issues, and does all kinds of other general therapy.
