What a great decision! This store is friendly and clean. And most importantly, stuffed with a great selection of wines and beers. As I walked in, what do you know, there is a display for Beaujolais Nouveau 2009. Fantastic! Definitely a new favorite liquor store. I also found some Big Sky Powder Hound and Shipyard Pumpkinhead straggling from the Halloween season. Score! I love me some good microbrews. If you live on this side of town, check Alameda Liquor Mart out. Really awesome store! A driving tip: If you're driving west on Alameda, turn south on Dayton and enter the parking lot from behind the Burger King.

They've got a pretty good selection of Colorado micro brews especially considering that it's a smaller place, and they tend to have some good seasonal ones. They don't have a lot of wines, but they do have refrigerated champagne ready to go, including a $4 bottle. Not kidding. The only boxed wine I've seen there is Franzia, and I don't think they have that refrigerated. But if you're buying a box of Franzia, as Matt P. would say, "How about if you just give me $5 and I'll kick you in the nuts? It's the same thing."

But after hearing it's under new ownership and that they laid off all the original staff (not cool at all, not the employees fault they got bought out at all) left a bad taste in my mouth. I also usually soend iver $100 just on a nice bittle of wine and bourbon, I have then tried to sign up for their rewards 3 times now and every time have had "technical difficulties"... so there are plenty of other liquor stores around I'd rather give my business to.

I had to explain that it is no longer necessary to take your husbands last name, that I specifically choose to carry on my grandfathers last name as I am the last of my line. I had to explain that I had the PIN number on the debit card and he still wasn't going for it, finally had to show him my wedding ring to prove I was married. Wow, is all I can say.
