I've flown in/out of CVG many times and Southwest is typically the airline I fly. On my latest visit to CVG I arrived early for my flight and found the bag check kiosks pretty easily and then was able to drop off my two included checked bags with no issues. The staff member was friendly and upbeat considering how early it was and I was off to security in no time. My flight was scheduled for early in the morning, and I already saw lines starting to get long so I can't say what an experience may be during peak hours. read more

Her boss is a heavy set black man with dreads and a cheap fossil watch from pac-sun that he swears is a tissot or a Rolex. Fun story - Mr Wealth was caught at quidoba ordering the 4 dollar salad... as I ate steak at the connecting restaurant - ya know, for people with actual money. But back to Karen, after being told to sit with our belongings she then reversed course and when asked copped an attitude. She never sat down when asked by the pilot, chose to read books above responding to guests and to top it all off, caught eating a Jenny craig bar and honestly.... Stop it. lol. read more

Update.... So I'm trying to get home... and then came this SW foolishness. I really wanna use other choice words. Now after the holidays, I wanna get home! I was at my Familias house minding my own business. When all the sudden I get a SW chirp on my phone my flight been canceled, and no it's not weather related cuz the snow done melted and roads are clear as day. The communication was very vague. You got more news n updates from Twitter then them. Agent was like you should be ok to rebook for tomorrow. Smh. Apparently while SW execs are at their vacay homes chilling, they aren't giving a hoot about the fiasco. So there's a scheduling glitch and some issues with software issues. The pilots and flight crew show up, but can't fly the plane. The agent on the phone try to feed me bs that's its mechanical. Not true. After my 3x canceled flight, I'm booking with American Airlines. So we'll see how it goes. Also CVG is slammed... Trying booking out of DAYTON Or elsewhere.. Goodluck. read more

We generally like SWA and fly with them more than other airlines. Given the size of the airport, the check-in counter for SWA is pretty small. Guess they don't have that many flights from Cincinnati/Covington but they have what we need. Ticket counter people weren't as friendly as normal, and the kiosks for self check-in are somewhat hidden. They are behind you when facing the counter but tucked away by the window; they are hard to see unless you really are looking for them as the view is obstructed by a wall. read more

Redemption for Southwest. After my written compliant to the airline was reviewed, they provided me a flight credit voucher as a compensation/courtesy. In addition, I did some research and found some zipper replacements that I could use on the suitcase, although not as efficient as the original, it was a decent fix until I replaced the suitcase. So, if anyone else has this problem they should look them up online. The airline, and perhaps all of them, should invest in these zipper replacements at their luggage offices as it could be a possible remedy for fixing damaged luggage like mine was. read more

We were flying out of CVG and connecting in Midway on our way to Vegas to get married. But our originating flight was delayed until after our connecting flight was taking off. The gate agent, Melinda, worked her magic and was able after searching every other nearby airport to find us another flight to get us on so that we could make it to Vegas on time for our wedding. Truly went above and beyond in providing service. While everyone else was giving her a hard time, she stayed calm and collected and continued to give world class service for a problem that didn't originate with her. She should be commended. Any organization would be proud to have an employee like her. read more

I have never reviewed a business before, but I am so disappointed in Southwrst I felt I had to. My family recently were supposed to travel to Florida for Fall Break. The second leg of the journey was canceled. Four days later we were still stranded with no luggage and no help from Southwest. I have sent several requests to Southwest for our family of 5 who had over $1000 of unexpected expenses and their response had been 3 $150 vouchers. This is ridiculous. I will not be a frequently traveler with them any longer. read more
