He used to hate going to school and now (most days) he wakes up so excited to get to school to see his friends and teachers. Belle and Bernadette are great directors, very friendly and attentive to any concerns. The facility is always very clean and comfortable. This facility's response to COVID has been impressive. I feel very confident dropping my son off every day knowing that he's in good hands and kept very safe. I can't recommend this place enough.

My child was kicked out for a bogus reason because as a single parent I advocated for her well-being. Yes, my child would have accidents and no communication, no communication additional clothing was needed, she would have clothes and undies not hers, diapers that didn't fit, pull ups or no undies, or nothing at all plus red and irritated private parts. My child went to that facility since 6 weeks old and never had so many issues that weren't resolved until recently such as failure to be aware of her lactose allergy and served her whole milk in lieu of Lactaid on numerous occasions. I am appalled this center has not received more complaints and inspections for the lack of attention to detail for each child in their care and the lack of training management has. Also they bribe currently enrolled parents to place positive reviews in order to receive fee waivers, don't trust the reviews. Matthieu-Amanda was recommended to me by a friend and after reading their background on their website, I felt comfortable welcoming them into my home. They had a warm but professional demeanor that made me feel comfortable and not at all judged at the messy state of my home. Each cleaning session they began work promptly and took great care in ensuring every space was left clean and well-organized. I knew they took pride in their work because they consistently checked in to make sure I was satisfied. I know Matthieu-Amanda cares deeply about the community and ensuring their work helps those in need. Their kindness was evident even with just how they interacted with my dogs and baby. I would highly recommend Matthieu-Amanda to anyone seeking dependable, judgement free, and high-quality cleaning services. Sincerely,Tamika Bachicha

UPDATE to owner's response: It is clear that they and I have different perspectives. Had I been…read moreentirely unhappy, I would have given the business 1 star. And yes, I did rehire them because I was desperate and didn't have the physical or mental energy to find another cleaner. That was my choice and they did fine on my oven. Big point of contention to the owner's response: I never used the word abnormal regarding their singing. I stated that it seemed uninformed, as it was jarring to have silence abruptly broken in repeated, unexpected intervals by someone (even someone with a good voice) by very loud singing who is working in the home of someone they know has boundary and trauma issues, something I didn't add to my review as I'm pretty sure that's a me problem. ***** (This review has been edited from its original to try to better express my perception vs objective facts.) I had a less than positive experience with this business. I made the mistake of thinking common shower mold would be considered biohazard and paid what I now feel was an exorbitant cost for their services. My mistake for not being better informed, but I feel that they--the professional--should have pointed out that biohazard services were not necessary (a $60 an hour price difference). I pre-paid, they arrived on time and brought their own equipment. I attempted to talk to them about something that had direct context to the cleaning situation when they first arrived. They interrupted me and changed the subject. I hired a reported trauma informed cleaner because that's what I needed: someone who understood the intricacies of dealing with individuals who struggle with mental health. Being interrupted and, I felt, dismissed made it very difficult for me to try to communicate with them afterward about concerns that arose later. They did well on surface dirt but they left the priority bathroom only partially done. I paid for five hours for two bathrooms, in one of which the shower/tub was not used at all, and there was absolutely zero clutter/trash in either bathroom. Neither toilet was trashed, though the one in the priority bathroom needed a hard water ring scrubbed. They spent 3 hours in the bathroom with the unused tub/shower and toilet that was just fine, leaving only 2 for the bathroom I had indicated several times was my priority. In the second (priority) bathroom, they didn't clean the shower walls, the shower floor was only half cleaned, they only did one shower door, and the floor around the footprint of the toilet was not done. We disagree on things. I feel that they did not allocate time well considering that I'd expressed my priorities clearly. I did not feel judged, however nor did I feel free to communicate concerns while they were in my home. I struggled with even reviewing this business because I know that some of the dissatisfaction comes from the fact that I avoid confrontation, especially when I feel shut down communication-wise as I did in this case. However, the marketing for this company relies heavily on the trauma-informed model, and I did not find their approach to be on par with their claims. Persons who do not have these personal difficulties may find In Gentle Hands to be exactly what they need. However, based on how heavily they stress the trauma informed aspect, I felt the need to share my experience for other people like me who struggle with these issues.

The school is located past the Coronado Mall in a beautifully kept church. The church is clean and the classrooms are medium-large and welcoming with cubbies and wonderful activity centers as well as toys. The bulletin boards and walls are kept neat with projects posted and daily and weekly activity records listed. School starts promptly and ends promptly; the school does offer before and after care, and if a child needs either care once in a while and there is room, the school allows it and the care is rather inexpensive. School starts at 9:30 p.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. It is a nut-free school and lunches must be packed. Snacks are brought in by the parents and rotated depending on the teacher. Our teacher had us rotate by week and I enjoyed trying out new healthy recipes on the kids who, for the most part, seemed to enjoy them. The curriculum for the three year old class was outstanding. Although my daughter did not come home with papers everyday, thankfully, she always told me about what she learned and how much she loved school. At this age, a lot of the teaching involves play, but St. John's also included the whole alphabet in the curriculum and thoroughly went through it. I was also impressed that they involved the kids in the 2008 presidential election process. My daughter's teacher was very experienced and I felt that she gave my daughter great attention. The teacher-to-student ratio is also quite low which helps as well. As a Christian institution, it also supplied the Christian values we wanted our daughter to learn about even though I and some other families who attended were not Christian. Keep in mind when factoring in price into education that St. John's has ASCI accreditation and although it may at first seem costly, it is well worth it. The current preschool in Ohio, where my youngest daughter is attending and my eldest attended, costs about the same and is on par with educational value.

First, the place is super clean, and they have a great curriculum in place. But what truly sets them apart is the staff/ teachers. They are warm, kind, and genuinely care about the kids. Unlike other centers where I felt rushed and my child was left crying, here, they took the time to understand my little one's needs. I never felt rushed. Getting to know the teachers is a big deal to me. One big plus, no kids crying during drop-off or pick-up! You can really tell it's a nurturing environment. Plus, it doesn't smell like dirty diapers, which is a nice perk! We're just finishing our second week, and I'm so glad I chose this center. It might be a bit out of my way, but it's the best decision I've made for my child. If you're looking for a CARING and CLEAN center, I highly recommend Eastern Child Development Center!
