In the summer they didnt take kids' sweaters off to play outside(since their a/c was cranked up so high inside the kids had to wear them) I picked up my daughter a couple times, her face (among all the others) all red & flustered saying she was hot and thirsty...wow No structure either, all they're doing is babysitting and the kids run wild, no education. They offer food but chow time is just that~ one bowl in the middle of the table & the kids eat as fast as they can to make sure they're gonna get their portion, that's terrible on the digestive system at any age. When I did pull my daughter out they had her outside waiting, on the steps, with her belongings & a staff memeber standing up above. Real nice in the dead heat of summer. They say they are a 5-star rated facility, however when you observe how the rating system works, they need only a kitchen facility to attain this rating, ridiculous! Need I go on? In 2023, it was time to go back to work after having my daughter. I decided to enroll my daughter…read moreat this location. She was 6 months old, in the infant room. She did really well in there with Ms. Trista. When it came time to transition to the toddler classroom 12-18m it went well except her main teacher ended up leaving after a few months. Ms. Amber ended up being the lead teacher. My daughter the older she got was then in a classroom next door for 18-24m. This teacher also ended up transferring to a different location. Once my daughter was in the 2 year classroom (willow) I believe she was finally stable with two teachers and did well. Sadly the location and a few things my husband and I noticed with the school have led us to move our daughter to a school nearby our home. Out of all the staff, I have personally noticed these teachers go above and beyond for my daughter. Ms. Trista, Ms. Rosa & her 2 year old teacher in Willow. I can't remember her name. I felt they genuinely took care of my daughter like she was their own. There were a few teachers I didn't care for. Sadly due to events that happened to my child. When she was in the infant room. My daughter would sometimes be dropped off in the classroom across from her actual class. Around Christmas time a few years ago my mother in law picked up my daughter and had sent me photos of her. Earlier that day, I received a call from the school saying that my 8/9 month old had a bloody nose when she was in this other classroom. From the photos my mother in law took my baby had a gash in her cheek from what it looks like a deep scratch! It was so deep in her skin, she currently is almost 3 years old and it's a scar on her face. I think maybe the teacher scratched her on accident with her long nails. Yet they wrote on the report it was a "bloody nose". Yet my baby had a deep scratch on her cheek. You work with children and babies for gods sake. Some of the girls and teachers here had talons for nails. I forgot the teachers name in charge of her at that time but the front office staff said she was basically here for over 20 years so she knows what she's doing. Which is ridiculous! There were other incidents too where my daughter got bit twice in two weeks in the first toddler classroom. Clearly someone may not have been paying attention to my daughter if she was getting bit. Once my daughter got to the 2 year old classroom her teacher had very old school traditions with the kids and taught them to be independent. My husband and I enjoyed her being in there. She was starting to thrive again and enjoy being dropped off at school. Overall once I noticed the front admin changes. Things started to go downhill which was when my daughter was in the first toddler classroom with Ms. Amber. The front staff was less and less approachable and I felt speaking to them or addressing an issue to them I was walking on eggshells at times or they would be having personal conversations and I'd be interrupting. There were issues I've noticed that a few teachers would be on their phones. One time I dropped off my daughter in Ms. Trista's class and I look across at the babies on the other side and I seen through the window the same lady who was there over 20+ years, was on her phone while an infant baby was hysterically crying in the crib in the room across from Elm. Mind it was the same teacher that I believe scratched my child with her long nails. I had addressed this issue to the front staff and just by her lengthy time at Montessori nothing was done and they said teachers can be on their phones updating procare. Ok, I get that. But this baby was in need of her attention at the moment and as a mother that was sad to see. Tending to that child was more important than being on her phone. Another instance I've noticed was Ms. Amber was always on her phone as well for drop off but over time she actually got better not always being on it. I get they need to send updates on Procare but they mostly do that if the kids are on their nap time. Overall, the staff has a very high turnover with the admin, front staff and teachers. I am not sure why the dynamic in the front admin changed but it feels very different now. Also, just because someone has been a teacher for over 20+ years doesn't always mean they enjoy their job. This day and age, the longer the people are working in a job they get invincible and think discipline wouldn't / shouldn't be given to them. The two main problems we experienced with this daycare - 1. there is a lot of dishonesty and shady behavior regarding money - it is clearly their sole concern and 2. children safety and supervision is severely lacking. First, the money. There were several instances in which we were given incorrect tuition and fee information, repeatedly, by administrative staff only to find out the fees were much more upon required payment. We were among many families who received this tuition information - which is a huge deciding factor when choosing a daycare - only to find out when payment was requested that the tuition was actually higher. No apologies were issued, no courtesy credits or compromises given to make things right for the families who had budgeted for the prior amount. We escalated this to Crystal, hoping she would offer some sort of a solution, explanation or further our understanding of the miscommunication and how it can be avoided moving forward. She offered no explanation or apology. She sat in our meeting with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. She told us that if she were to honor the price we were given by her staff (on multiple, separate occasions over the course of several months) then SHE WOULD HAVE TO FIRE SOME OF HER TEACHERS at the center because she wouldn't be able to afford the $100-$200 dip in revenue per month. Her offered solution was if we didn't like the new secret price we could find a new daycare. This cold and dismissive response - along with the insulting, blatant lie about having to fire teachers to rectify the situation, from the Owner/Executive Director of the daycare (not to mention COUNCIL MEMBER OF THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT AND TREASURER OF THE NEW MEXICO CHILD CARE AND EDUCATION ASSOCIATION) was absolutely appalling. The dishonesty and lack of concern should have been insight enough as to the type of establishment this was -despite the beautiful quote about God leading the daycare in the entryway. But we found a way to pay the higher tuition since our child had already been established and we didn't want to uproot. Throughout our time there, we were consistently harassed to purchase expensive Gala tickets to support one of Crystal's causes, as well as 5k tickets and other fundraisers that I have a very low level of trust and confidence as to where the money was actually going, given our experience. Now, to the child safety and lack of supervision. Our young child was bullied often in the classroom as well as on the playground. In the classroom, there was one child in particular who hit, bit, shoved, screamed, etc, at our child among others. Of course, I am a parent and fully understand that these things happen with small children. The issue was brought to the attention of the teacher multiple times, as our child was consistently coming home with marks. We were told they would try to keep this child away from our child, but there wasn't much they could do. We were also told that the bully had autism and his behavior was CAUSED by our child, because our child was too loud and the bully was sensitive to noise. Our child also ran into some bullying on the playground, as the small children were let out on the playground at the same time as the older kids and after-school program kids. Again, nothing they could do. Crystal often had media on the daycare campus to interview her or promote one of her causes/fundraisers - often on the playground. I wonder if less effort went in to her self-promotion, and more effort went into the supervision of our children, if there would have been less incidents. I am grateful, however, for our experience with Crystal and her family/staff, as we have learned in great detail what we would like to avoid at all costs in future daycares and schools.

We have noticed that the well-being and education of the children in their care is not their top priority and that they seem more focused on making money. We have also observed that NMELA mistreats their good teachers while putting poor-performing family members in charge of the facility. It is concerning that they do not have enough teachers to adequately watch over the children, despite advertising a low student-teacher ratio. We highly recommend entrusting your children's care to qualified professionals who prioritize their well-being and education. Unfortunately, NMELA appears to be more concerned with their public image than fulfilling their role as an educational institution. Noah's ark is professionally-managed. The teachers and director completely betrayed the trust of my family. They made false claims…read morereported to CYFD after a home visit for beginning of this school year. They literally falsified information based on whatever prejudice they have against myself and father to my children. When CYFD followed up at the same home they reported - the investigator told us their report was 'frivolous and a waste of time' = UNSUBSTANTIATED. I contacted one of the teachers directly regarding their actions, and she told me the director would contact me- and she never did! I will never recommend this place to anyone. And during class time visits last year, one of the staff was being extremely rude and militant with some of my son's classmates, rather than exploring positive discipline approaches. I should have recognized that as a red flag, but had more faith in them than I really should have. These people lack integrity, are untrustworthy, and act completely fake - all smiles to your face when they obviously pass judgment behind your back. My kids are already enrolled in a new wonderful program, so we find this terrible incident to have been a blessing in disguise. Please, take your children elsewhere.

Ms. Selena and Ms. Sofy are doing an amazing job with the preschoolers. They have connected with the students to understand their specific needs and also make the kids feel safe and cared for. Candice, Isley and Kendra have been so helpful by kindly answering all of my questions since the first day that I visited the center. My child comes home happy and demonstrating that she's learned something new each day.
