I have good insurance through my job and they wouldn't work with me whatsoever. Even after I talked to my insurance and they told me they paid 80% of the procedure, they wouldn't call to verify and told me they knew it was 50-50 and gave me a price of over $1900. If you're out of network, don't bother they won't try to work with you or your insurance whatsoever. read more

Very unprofessional with communication. I was referred here and even confirmed that my insurance listed this office as in-network. However, I was only notified the day before my actual appointment that they were out of network. This last-minute notice wasted my time and left me scrambling to make other arrangements. Communication like this is unacceptable, especially for patients who are already dealing with pain and stress. read more

I was told I needed an extraction and implant so I went and got a 2nd opinion. The 2nd dentist told me to come here for a 3D x-Ray so they can see if there was indeed a fracture under my old crown. The results were still not clear, which I was highly disappointed about, but they didn't pressure me one way or another. Dr. Rizzo recommended I proceed with the root canal and if they saw a fracture, they would close and I'd have to examine other options. I was super nervous the day of the procedure cause this was my first scheduled root canal. I showed up on time and they took me back right away. I was given shots into my gums to numb me and the procedure started immediately. I was afraid it'll hurt so I was anxious and tense the whole time but the procedure was painless and went smoothly. They completed the procedure in about an hour and patched it up with a temporary filling for me. The instrument they own to perform root canals is life changing. Zero pain, they got in and cleaned everything under my crown and off I went. Now back to my normal dentist for a new crown but lucky I went and was given the opportunity to save my tooth! read more

Dr. Goodman did my root canal been needing one, i didnt want my reg dentist to perform it. REcommnded from friends and family to have it done with a specialist and found them on yelp. Almost 1 year later and things are sstill going great. (I had it done sometime summer 2019), my permanent crown i got from Montrose dentistry. Keep in mind the specialist, is their speciality on doing root canals etc , so i recommend going to one, a long time ago about 2015, i had my reg dentist cleaned up my tooth and put a crown over it but (no root canal). It ended up falling off and was exposed and i was in pain the last 1-2 years bc it was exposed and never had a crown replaced - i didn't have insurance. In 2019, i was told i needed a root canal from my dentist. They will place a temp crown and u will have to get a permanent cRown from your dentist. Make sure u see it reg dentist i believe 1 wEek after your root canal appt to get that done. schedule your appt in aDvance. read more

DO NOT VISIT THIS OFFICE!!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BEWARE! I visited this office in July of 2018 as my dentist referred me to the Endodontist for tooth# 4 due to a toothache. Dr. Y completed the root canal on tooth #4, however I continued to experience pain weeks later. I scheduled a follow up visit with Dr. Y due to the constant pain and was told that I would now need a root canal on tooth # 3, even though I explained that #4 was still hurting. She explained that the pain was due to issues with tooth #3. She Did not complete the root canal on tooth #3 in one day, but scheduled a follow up appt for me to return 2 weeks later to complete the root canal. She also stated that she found additional roots in tooth #3 and reassured me that she removed all of the roots. One week later (late August)I visited my dentist and explained that I was still in pain, he referred me back to Dr. Y as she completed the procedure. I was not able to see Dr. Y until late September due to her 3 day a week work schedule. Upon visiting her she stated that I should not be in pain and that everything was fine. I was adamant that it wasn't fine and that I was in pain. She stated that the root canals would take time to heal(it's never taken me 4-5 months for a root canal to heal before). Out of desperation and in pain I called the office again and asked to see another Dr. I met with a male dentist in October (can't remember his name), he was curt and short with me stating that everything looked fine and that there was nothing they could do for me, he also contacted my dentist and recommended that the dentist place crowns on both #3 and #4 although I was still in pain, which my dentist refused. Fast forward to today and $1800 later, I am still in pain and will have to spend additional money to visit another endodontist due to the botched service I received at Southwest Endodontics. I would not recommend this office, practice, or the dentist working out of this office. I am extremely disappointed that I received substandard and less than desirable services from this office. There has been no follow up, care, or concern extended to me since my last visit in October. Please do not waste your money here, visit a caring and experienced professional endodontist that cares about their patients and will ensure that your root canal is done correctly! read more

Called them on a Monday, was seen the next day in the morning. I was skeptical when they told me over the phone that I could go back to work the same day, even if examination reveal that I need a root canal. So I went in at 8am on Tuesday, got confirmation that I needed a root canal, had one, and was out at 9am. Friendly staff/dentist who joked about the silly nature of how I got there (sports related injury). As they promised, went to work immediately afterwards and put in a full day of work. General soreness for a few days as expected, only needed to take the recommended 400mg of ibuprofen the day of the procedure. I hear horror stories about root canals, and let's face it, no one wants to have one. But if I ever need another one done (God forbid), this is definitely the place! read more

After a weekend of pain when my #2 tooth was exposed during the beginning of a crown procedure, I was able to get into SE Endo with less than 24 hour notice. First star! They have parking garage parking and I happen to be driving my husbands truck which would not fit. I called them and they said no worries, park out front and they would speak to the parking crew to ensure no tow. Second star! The office staff was so nice and friendly, and all seemed to be happy to be there. Third star! Dr Hill and his assistant had the best bedside manners: listened to me first and then walked me through the procedure, answering All my questions. Fourth star! Procedure went nice and smooth, both Dr and assistant talked to me, continued to check on me, and there was no pain (the shots aren't bad!). Showed me final x-rays to show me the difference. I recently had a root canal performed by Dr. Goodman Southwest Endodontic Specialists, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The office staff is friendly, professional, courteous, and understanding. When my benefits ran out and I couldn't afford the permanent filling and crown until the beginning of the year (a little more than a month later), Tameka went to Dr. Goodman and they put in a longer lasting filling to get me through. Free of charge. Meanwhile my regular dentist's staff was using scare tactics to pressure me to get it done immediately. -- It was truly heartwarming to know that some people still care about the patient more than money. Dr. Goodman took the time to do things right. He showed me the problem areas before and after, and even chose to not finish the procedure the first time due to the infection that had formed in the abscess in my gums. While this meant coming back for a second round, it will prevent further problems down the road. I appreciate that. After a very bad experience with another specialist Who advised me that my procedure is very difficult and he may or may not be able to save my tooth. (The other Endodontic Said that he will not know if the tooth could be saved until he starts the procedure and that he may have to stop the procedure and send me to the dentist to have the whole tooth pulled.) I was so upset and didn't understand why that Endodontic not know if the tooth could be saved or make a better recommendation. Needless to say I was very apprehensive , disappointed, and decided to research and find a more qualified doctor for this procedure. After much research I came to see Dr. Hill I am so glad that I made this choice. I was very nervous because of my last experience , But Dr. Hill assured me that my case is not difficult and actually it is a standard procedure . He talked me through the whole process . He was very confident and reassuring And most importantly I did not feel any pain or discomfort Dr. Hill is absolutely amazing. This review is not about the Dentist at this clinic but about the terrible staff working there. I called and made an appointment after finding this practice covered under my insurance. the lady there took all the info and the nature of my visit and scheduled an appointment. After two days i started receiving one call after another and 2-3 voice mails I wasnt able to answer right away so they kept on calling !!! When i called them back they said that they just want to explain that my visit will cost me around $250 just for consultation and ct xray !! I said first of all you don't have to call me that many times to tell me this and second i never visited an endodontics who charged me $250 to talk to me and take some xray images no matter how detailed they are (and I have a very good insurance). When when i mentioned that i will need to cancel, the lady there got offended and immediately wanted to end the conversation !! This was a horrible experience before I even stepped a foot in that clinic and I am so glad I didn't. If the doctor is happy hiring such staff then I am sure I don't want him to work on my teeth. Dr. Yadlapati and her staff are amazing. They were able to get me in to work on my unruly tooth today. A tooth that I've been in pain with for the weekend. From start to finish they were patient and kind to me. I have a little anxiety from dentist in general, but all anxieties were put to rest. I was able to feel safe knowing they were there to help me and get me out of pain. I will be back in the future for another tooth that is needing a root canal, and for any other teeth that are needing the special attention. I left there feeling numb, but not in pain. He actually takes the time to discuss what he issue, your treatment plan and the risks. The nurses are engaged and talk to you. Went to Dr. Goodman's office about a week ago for specialized x-rays requested by my general dentist after really bad tooth pains/sensitivity. Just finalized my procedure yesterday at Dr. Wuu's oral surgery office on the basis of Dr. Goodman's very professional recommendation for my particular he made after analyzing my mouth and the x-rays. He explained the issue very well and was easy to understand, I liked how he did not dumb down information yet was very clear and concise with what was said even though this is a subject I know admittedly next to zilch in its regards. I was made to feel very comfortable proceeding with the options and recommended course of action relayed by Dr. GOodman. I think the noticable perks of the visit where as follows: was the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I was seen really early in the morning on such short notice (like 6 am early lol -- thx again so much guys!). Dr. Goodman was prompt to see me and in good humor. I was referred to Dr. Hoover of the Southwest Endodonitic Specialists by Dr. Bruce Smith in the Montrose area (who is also great, I've left a review for him on yelp as well) to deal with an abscessed tooth. Dr. Hoover and his staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could to make me comfortable (please note I'm terrified of dentists which is why my teeth are in a condition that I need root canals) when facing the prospect of a root canal, and the actual root canal went amazingly well. Though root canals have a terrible reputation, he uses a lot of local anesthetic on the area so I did not feel any pain whatsoever during the procedure. It took about an hour and a half total, and through that time he was very attentive and careful, and friendly (haha while lying there with my mouth open I talked to him about how amazing it is that he could understand me talking with my mouth wide open) while doing it, resulting in a very well done procedure and very little pain. A few hours after the procedure, when the anesthetic wore off I do have some soreness and pain in the area (which very well may simply be because I have other bad teeth or from the remains of the abscess), but nothing like the horror stories that people filled my head with regarding root canals (and NOTHING like the pain I was experiencing from the abscess itself). Though the root canal was done today and there's still the potential for pain over the next few days, things are going well so far and I can only assume that this was because of how well the procedure was done on Dr. Hoover's part, and cannot recommend him enough when it comes to having the dreaded root canal done. I'm currently facing the prospect of having several other root canals done, and all I can say is that as long as Dr. Hoover is doing them, I do not fear them at all. I think that speaks volumes for him, especially given the terror that the prospect of having root canals holds for most people. read more

I was referred to Dr. Goodman by my regular dentist. My experience here was overall positive: staff was helpful, and Dr. Goodman was competent, funny, and attentive. I felt that Dr. Goodman conscientiously analyzed my condition, developed options, and recommend the best procedure. During the procedure I was somewhat anxious, and Dr. Goodman with his humor and easy manner totally put me at ease. This office opens at 7:00am that makes it easy to come here for an appointment and still get to work at a decent time. My dentist recommended me to Dr. Goodman for an evaluation. Dr. Goodman looked over my X-rays and examined my teeth even running them thru a sensitivity test prior to coming to the conclusion of a necessary root canal. He was very patient with me as I was a ball of nervous at just the thought of a root canal and had quite a few questions. He took time to answer my questions and reassured me the pain would be very very minimal. I came into the office that following Monday at 7am and was out by 8am. Not only did it not hurt (minus a couple shots in the gums for numbing) but I haven't had any pain or discomfort since and it's been 3 weeks! Prior to beginning the actual root canal he put a bite block in my mouth for my teeth to rest on which held my mouth open for me and placed this stretchy cloth that covered the entire opening of my mouth minus the one tooth needing to be worked on. (Almost like a bib for my mouth that wrapped around my tooth) The bib thing was awesome. I didn't have to worry about anything flying into the back of my mouth or things tasting nasty when it touched my tongue. To be completely honest I nearly fell asleep while he was doing the root canal because I was so relaxed which had surprised myself as I had walked in there that morning stressing out and in a panic about the potential pain and fear of the unknown. He gave me some Advil to take approx 4 hours after the procedure but said I should be fine to go to work and should have very little pain and discomfort. He was right, didn't even need the Advil, I was like new again! Dr. Goodman did a phenomenal job. Don't believe all the hype and scariness that everyone associates with the words "root canal", it was painless and easy and I'm a whimp! The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to as well and made me feel like I was in great hands. Highly recommend Southwest Endodontics!! read more

The experience I had this morning with the staff and Dr. Goodman was excellent! I have had multiple root canals dating back to the early 60's and this was probably the best experience I have every had with this type of procedure. The staff was accommodating and courteous. I was having lots of pain and the endodontist I had used a couple of years ago in Sugar Land could not make an appointment for me for a week! I looked at my dental insurance website and Southwest Endodontics was one that was listed. With some fear and trepidation about using a new dentist, I called and asked about an appointment. I was treated with respect and scheduled for an appointment the next morning. When I arrived and filled out the paperwork, I was immediately taken back to the very comfortable exam room. Dr. Goodman came in and we discussed my pain and what could be done for me. He provided updates as he progressed and completed the procedure in a timely and efficient manner. I contacted southwest endodontists on a Thursday afternoon and had an appointment the next morning at 7:30. I was terrified! This was my first root canal.
