Dr. Linda has been my dentist for over 20 years. She has always been a par above any dentist I've ever gone to. Because I live so far from away I have gone to other dentists . But I always returned because there is no one like Dr Linda and her staff. Her professionalism, her caring, and her over all work ethic, Is beyond compare. And all of the staff at the Dental Building follow her lead. Recently I return to Dr. Linda in dire straits. My mouth had been destroyed by UIC and she agreed to fix it. She saved my life! I totally agree with Gene P. I love Dr Bartuska! He is sensitive caring very knowledgeable and a great dentist. He deserves 5 stars. On the other hand Linda Weinfield had me go through Scalings of my mouth which I didn't need and the one quadrant the insurance didn't pay for. Her peridontal exams are rough. I'm dentist shy in the first place so this did not help. She also likes to push antibiodics. My oncologist said I didn't need premeds and she wanted me to take them even though I am now Cancer Free. Last time she looked at me for an exam wanted me to take amoxicillian because my gums looked a little inflamed. I am not a big antibiodic person. I just upped my brushing and flossing and they are fine. read more

I have never written a review in my life, but nobody should have to experience what I did. Linda Weinfield has absolutely no idea how to deal with people, let alone people in pain. She is the only dentist there I have met and because of that I am never going back. I was in extreme pain and her manner caused me to walk out and suffer through another weekend to get a different dentist. I have never met someone so terrible in my entire life. I would advise anyone thinking about going here to reconsider, there are 20 other dentists in the area and I do not believe anyone can be as terrible as this woman. The only thing I would give this place anything more than 1 star for is their desk staff and magazines. I'm more likely to pull my own teeth than ever go back to this place again. I would like to say I have such a negative stigmatism to dentists, but when I went to my first appointment it was so awesome, Linda and her staff were so nice. I left this facility very shaken up and feel necessary to write a review. My mouth was in extreme pain on the 4th of July weekend. Not many places were available due to the holiday but this place was recommended and they had an opening the next day so I took it. After a long sleepless night of pain...I got to the clinic and spoke with the doctor and they taken x-rays....make the long story short and get to the point...the doctor mentions he did not have time today. I was in so much pain...I expected the doctor to do something about the pain at least but he only explain what was wrong. I asked if he knew why I am here today? Why I set this appointment? So he got someone else to look at my situation. It was Linda Weinfield. This doctor treated me like an absolute filth. I was taken back and in shock by the way she spoke to me. When I started to answer her demanding questions which was oddly given that I had to ask a question about her question just to be clear. She would only return with annoyed, mean and louder tone. It was just absolutely ugly. As minutes passed by and the indirect questions being fed to me in that rude demanding way... ..........I started to get nervous and a bit scared. After some critical thinking on that chair I decided to leave due to her ruthless treatment. I was just scared how she would treat me and talk to me while working on my tooth. I kept thinking how to deal with this pain another night. I was very shaken up for about a whole week...experiencing some depression from this experience. I wish I could have recorded that moment. I felt it necessary to write about this. Nobody should be treated this way. I cant imagine if my parents walked into this place and was treated this way. I am asian and I am not sure if it was because of my race but I can't think of any other reason why someone especially a doctor would treat a new patient this way. read more

To say i had a fear of needles would be an understatement. Now add to the thought of taking that shot into my mouth is what made me stay away from the dentists office way too long. Funny how ignoring and neglecting various things in life , aka , your teeth, always seems to catch up to you. After dealing with only chewing on one side, being in pain constantly , smirking instead of smiling out of self consciousness and embarrassment you finally get to the point of facing the fact its time to see a dentist. One particularly painful day one of my customers came into my business, he seen the pain and asked whats going on. i explained my dilemma and my fears. this customer looked at me and said, "you need Dr Linda " When i asked he explained about the practice and promised me totally pain free . i didn't buy the totally pain free part but it sounded like my best option. i waited . i mean after years and years whats a couple more days. Well when i woke up with terrible pain i gave up. i called and got the appointment. nervous all day waiting for the appointment time the time finally arrived. i sat in the chair, nervous, scared and embarrassed and mad at myself for putting myself in this predicament . i just knew the only was was to pull them and get dentures. Then Dr Linda walked in. She could probably tell i was terrified . Dr Linda was very calming, reassuring and genuinely nice. We talked, she examined my teeth and had an x-ray done. The verdict was i wasn't as bad as i thought. The more we talked, the more calm i became . We came up with a game plan and started the very next Monday. Now id be lying if i said i wasn't nervous, but it was time to face reality. First she numbed the gums with a swab and a liquid. We talked a bit and i thought she rubbed more liquid a second time. When she finished i asked her, "just let me know before the shots". She smiled and explained she just gave them. At first i thought she was kidding but then i seen Dr Linda with the dispenser in her hand. The rest is history. Made appointments, kept appointments and i have my smile and confidence back. If anyone told me a dentist could be 100% painless i would have never believed them. Well Dr Linda is. Over the last couple of years iv got to know DR Linda . i found myself looking forward to my scheduled appointments. Dr Linda and her whole staff not only couldn't be nicer, but the really care. Funny how sometimes you meet someone who changes you in way never though possible. Because of Dr Linda being so great and painless at what she does i signed up for a blood drive. Turns out i matched a person who is in need of blood on a regular basis, so thanks to Dr Linda i give on a regular basis. Strange how life works out . i will forever be grateful . Dr. Linda is a true professional that believes in having a one stop shop for her customers. I have experience quality work and personal attention for 12 years. For example, I broke my tooth while traveling in a car to Louisiana during the Christmas holidays. I called her and she ask my location so that she could call ahead to her colleagues . Unfortunately, due to the holiday, no one was available. She did not stop there. She called a friend in New Orleans, and he took care my tooth after the holiday. That is just one of the awesome experience. I have had the same experience with the hygienist. reception, and records. What is the icing on the cake is Dr. Bartuska, who is a fantastic meticulous dentist. I drive two hours every six month, because of the level of experience and considerations. read more

I have been going to this office for 10 years! I was very scared about going when I first started because I knew I needed a lot of work done. But the staff took great care of me. Dr. B is amazing!! Dr. Linda worked with me very well as I do not have dental insurance. If it wasn't for this place I would probably be wearing dentures at the age of 33. I would recommend them for care. Don't expect to be in and out it does take some time but well worth it. read more

I had a similar experience as the last patient. I was told my tooth would cost $500.00 out of pocket and not to worry about the other $800.00 because they would change dates and charge my old insurance for the balance. I told them my old insurance was canceled a month before I came to them . They said they had a way of getting the left over money of the old insurance for the year. When my old insurance denied, they started to bill my insurance for cleanings on my husband even though he didn't come in. Now they are sayings I owe $ 600.00 more dollars. I informed them I already paid $800.00 for what I was told would cost $500. She just told me on the phone yesterday that she could take care of the $ 600.00 balance if I come in for a cleaning before the end of the year. This place is ridiculous. read more

She won't let you give input on what you would like to get done but only what she wants to do so she can over charge you for everything. I have been going to Dr. Linda for years and before I moved into Oaklawn I have always been advocate of taking care of my teeth. Dr. Linda not only takes care of the teeth but she and her staff treat you like family . The Dental Building is a great place to have your teeth taken care of. You can have any dental procedure you may need performed under one roof. From general dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, root canals, dental bridges, false teeth, dental implants, cleanings, you name it and they can do it. I hate it when you go to a dentist and then they send you all over town for different dental procedures. Not Linda. Her professional and courteous staff can solve and fix any problem you may have. And Linda Weinfield is the best of the best. She has more medical degrees than you can shake a stick at. My wife and I have been going there for years with great success. This place is outrageously expensive adding charges as you go along. First it was 150.00 for an initial debridement. 250.00 for xrays. 120.00 to consult with Dr. Weinfield and her associate dentist. Then I was told by the receptionist my cleanings were going to be 150.00 each half of the mouth on two seperate appointments. Well after the first appointment I was told it was now 600.00 for half the mouth and 600.00 for ther other half on the other appointment. Now total that is 1350.00 to have my teeth cleaned. They claim it is scaling and root planing. Well the hygenist told me it was not bad at all. She did the same thing as my initial debridement. When I complained about the receptionist telling me it was 150.00 for each haf Dr. Linda Weinfield got very condascending and dismissed my complaint with a well that is how much it cost. The receptionist lied and said she would have never told me that. She also laughed when I was talking to the office manager about it. On top of all this. Dr. Weinfield checked a tooth I might to be refilled and told me I should get a temporary filling and than a permanent to make sure that is the problem with the tooth. So she isn't sure and now wants to experiment on my tooth. Well I no longer trust this office to be truthful. I think it is just a cash cow for them. Their motivation is monetary. I now am just going to have my other half of my mouth done and go to another place for my filling to be redone. Dr. Weinfield treats you like she knows it all and you just should pay up. Well that is not how I do business. When the economy fails the first thing to shut down will be dental offices. It couldn't happen to nicer people. I don't have dental insurance. I am paying all this myself. Just like the banks , the dental offices will pay for robbing people all these years. I hope the first office to go is this one. read more
