In fact it was so much less I worried whether there might be something inferior about their work, or cleanup or something, but to the best of my observational powers, there is nothing to find fault with there. After the first two quotes I was able to find info on tree service my mom had used 10 or 15 years ago and find a number. They were no longer in business but the former owner still answered the phone, and when I asked if there was someone he could recommend, he said he was in the truck with Nick, who had taken over his business and an appointment was set to get a quote. It wasn't instant or next day, but was within reasonable time, and with no knowledge of the amounts of the other quotes, it was radically less than the others and not not a great deal more than my mom paid 10 or 15 years ago. I okayed it on the spot, and the work was scheduled to be performed within a reasonable time after. Communications were clear and they responded promptly when I responded with questions after their texts. I had thought ALL the prices seemed a little high, until a veritable squadron of crew and equipment arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time on Friday (6/6/2025). Crew was uniformly courteous and they went to work immediately. They worked with speed and efficiency. There was no standing around gabbing while one guy worked, or standing around talking period. Three tall oaks with some dead limbs and other limbs overhanging the house and electrical wires trimmed, and then the crepe myrtle in the back. Bucket truck, extension clippers or power saw on extension pole, standing on back deck to trip the crepe myrtle or climbing up the tree a short distance with apparent ease, I was impressed with their speed and efficiency and noted they still took care to observe safety precautions, and the whole job, meticulous cleanup, on-the-spot, surcharge-free bill payment by check (3.5 percent surcharge for card payments), thank-you's and hand-shakes and all done in about 90 minutes. I thought i was going to have to get 6-8 cubic yards of high quality dirt for a project. The person I spoke with showed me a cheaper way, getting general fill dirt, then putting mortar sand on top. I was concerned at first about the fill dirt because past experiences other places, the dirt had sticks, rocks, and other things. The fill dirt I received had at most 10 sticks and no rocks. The sticks were small and easy to pick out. Another bonus, I got the dirt at the time it was scheduled to be delivered. There were no delays and they were able to place the dirt exactly where I wanted it. I definitely would recommend them as they are amazing, prompt, and easy to deal with.

We had a good phone chat about what the possible approaches might be. He asked me to send photos, which I did. He called back to say that he thought the cracks did not need repair at this point and that we probably have several years before any repairs would be needed. I asked questions about a couple of other concrete-related projects, and he answered each one in a way that did not create new work for him. In other words, Brandon was helpful and honest and demonstrated integrity that can often be lacking in contractors who are focused primarily on creating more work for themselves. So refreshing!!
